In this episode, Phil and Susie explore the topic of prophecy. We discuss what prophecy is, what criteria something needs to meet in order to be considered "fulfilled" prophecy, examples of "fulfilled" prophecy from the bible and determining if they meet the criteria, modern false prophets, and how the gift of prophecy has changed over the centuries. Be warned, there is a lot of bible in this episode and we compare the biblical text to historical data to help us determine if the bible really does have fulfilled prophecy. There are a lot of links in the show notes section if you'd like to dig into this further. We also wanted to give our listeners the opportunity to support a fellow creator within the community, Tim Mills of Harmonic Atheist, who is in the midst of a difficult family and legal situation and needs some real support and help. The list of things that depend on transformers is long: new housing, EV chargers, renewable projects, and more. That's why skyrocketing lead times and prices for grid equipment that raises or lowers voltage is a real problem. The wait for a new transformer has jumped to over two years, according to WoodMackenzie. Back in 2020 it took just a few months, according to Tim Mills, CEO at transformer manufacturer ERMCO. WoodMackenzie found that prices, meanwhile, have risen over 60% since 2020. So what's causing the shortage? In this episode, Shayle talks to Tim about how rising demand for transformers has pushed manufacturers to capacity – and why it's been so hard for manufacturers to expand that capacity. They also cover topics like: The state of the shortage, including prices, lead times and types of transformers that are in especially short supply. The major drivers of demand growth, including renewables, storms, federal investment, and EV chargers. How the housing boom and bust of the 2000s left transformer manufacturers wary of bubbles in demand. Why the tight labor market makes it hard to expand manufacturing capacity. How new rules proposed by the Department of Energy are throwing uncertainty into what type of equipment manufacturers should invest in. The RCMP by its own admission this week failed to meet its own deadline of December 31, 2023, to implement the 130 recommendations from the Mass Casualty Commission following Canada's worst mass-shooting incident his nation's history, April 18, 2020, in Nova Scotia. Now the RCMP is saying only "we'll release the implementation details as soon as possible." Guest: Tim Mills. On the night of April 18, 2020, Tim Mills was the RCMP tactical team leader on that night of horror. Tim Mills was also the RCMP tactical team leader in Moncton, New Brunswick, when a gunman shot and killed 3 RCMP officers and wounded two more. Mills retired from the RCMP over non-support for his tactical team members by senior RCMP officers on April 18, 2020. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
It may seem a little harsh to post an episode the day after xmas with the creator of the Harmonic Atheist youtube channel, it just kinda worked out that way. Tim Mills is a self-described atheist who, like so many others this season, devoted his life to absolute adherence to fundamentalist Christianity. But his quest for the truth ultimately led him right out of faith, despite the horrible cost of losing friends and family. But he's doing good work, hosting the conversations that need to be had and pointing out the dangers of fundamentalist religion. On Growing Up Fundie, Ep. 114: Tim Mills of @HarmonicAtheist doesn't skirt around my tougher questions, and delivers his thoughts in his signature, straightforward manner. Father of four, Tim Mills, placed his faith in Jesus, and church ministry from a young age. As a child, he took pride in memorizing thousands of Bible verses, and listening to the sermons of famous Evangelical pastors on the radio with his parents. After being homeschooled throughout his youth, Tim attended the now-infamous Bob Jones University (in SC) and Lancaster Bible College (in PA) for his undergrad. He also attended New Tribes Mission Institute (currently Ethnos 360), for one year, to prepare for a career in tribal evangelism and church planting. After getting sidelined by severe insomnia, Tim shifted to "secular" work, including being a customer cabinetmaker, a stock broker, a fraud analyst, and a social media manager, before transitioning this year to being a full-time YouTuber. He began his deconstruction journey in 2016, and had fully deconverted by the Fall of 2019. Through his YouTube channel,"Harmonic Atheist," Tim posts content in an effort to help his audience remove themselves from mythology-based worldviews, heal from religious trauma, and empower themselves to share their own personal stories.Checkout his episode of “Growing Up Fundie,” then find more of his content via the links below:Tim on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@HarmonicAtheist/videosTim'd Linktree: https://linktr.ee/harmonicatheist______________________________________Find this episode, and others here:Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/show/2EHJGf8kGbSV9SRbqsfYKSApple Podcasts:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/growing-up-fundie/id1602008078Amazon Music:https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/ad6ac91e-c2fb-47d6-8658-df8aed941eac/growing-up-fundieSupport us on Buzzsprout Subscriptions:https://www.buzzsprout.com/1908164/supporters/newSupport us on Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/sydneydavisjrjrYoutube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5QuI5etVfbJoTVAhbRGMkADiscord:https://discord.gg/XQNG4nD5Join us on Reddit on r/GrowingUpFundie: https://www.reddit.com/r/GrowingUpFundie/More about the host, Sydney Davis Jr. Jr.sydneydavisjrjr.comThink you might make a great guest, or know someone who would be?Apply for yourself, or nominate someone here:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeHiy8KYW38tyKUD6MbFmOwCKdeWVHAbIA9qst1RBQf4rRPXg/viewform?usp=share_linkSupport the show

Tim Mills: Lakes Region Woodworking “I started off in high school, absolutely fell in love with woodworking, working with my hands, and it's just kind of grown from there. I'd never really gotten into the actual woodworking aspect of it until I moved into the house that I have now. Now, my basement is huge, so I took over part of that as my actual wood shop. I've just been acquiring tools and stuff over the years. And being a trim carpenter, you kind of learn a lot of things about different woods, how to do different things, and I've always just liked creating. I get these ideas in my head and then I just want to bring them to life. So that's what really sparked it all.” - Tim Mills Welcome to a brand-new episode of the Woodpreneur Podcast. Today, your host Steve Larosiliere is joined by Tim Mills from Lakes Region Woodworking. Tim started in high school and immediately fell in love with woodworking and creative work. From there, it just continued to expand. He hadn't actually begun woodworking until he moved into the home he currently resides in. He converted a portion of his spacious basement into his actual woodworking space. Tim has amassed a variety of equipment over the years, and as a trim carpenter, he learned a lot about various kinds of wood and other skills, and he has always enjoyed making things. He has these thoughts and wants to make them into reality. That is what ignited it all! In this episode, Tim discusses his most recent business venture—starting a handyman service—as well as his objectives for 2023 and his intentions to pivot his business to do more carpentry and built-in work. A 100-year-old grandstand at Christchurch's Riccarton Racecourse is set to be demolished. Canterbury Jockey Club has been granted permission to bowl over the historic grandstand, despite opposition from heritage campaigners. The club sought approval to knock down the stand because repairing it would send the club into financial ruin. Chief executive Tim Mills told Mike Hosking the stand has seen some of New Zealand's finest moments in racing history, but keeping it isn't an option. Mills says the evolution of the sport coupled with the earthquake damage made saving it unachievable. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
