I've pointed out to a few clients this week that they are asking the wrong questions. They are solving for the right thing. Most recently, a client said, "I can't figure out why I'm so inconsistent". Wrong question. You're solving for the wrong thing. When you ask why you're so inconsistent, you're looking for evidence to support the problem. What you should be asking is, "How can I be more consistent today?" In today's listener Q&A episode, we're diving into your questions and a few times, we're exploring how the question can be shifted to be way more empowering and effective. Questions Tackled In Today's Episode: Is there an update on EB's experimentation with CBD? How is that going? Has she noticed any changes? What does EB indulge in that IS worth it?? I don’t drink coffee, but can I do bulletproof hot tea? What are good ways to keep a mindset focused on consistent effort over time? How do I change a lifetimes worth of habits? How do I get control of my mindless eating so I can lose weight for good? How do I break free from analysis paralysis? 5 Things You'll Learn: Why nurturing your personal brand is just as important as nurturing your business brand Lessons about starting your own e-commerce businesses Why nothing should ever stop you from going after your dreams The importance of morning routines and how long they should take you Why paying attention to your body and wellness helps your business & so much more In this episode, I speak to Ashley Strommen, co-founder of Sutra, a company that creates superfood lattes. While fighting for her life, she received her Nutritionist certification and began experimenting with natural healing techniques including using superfoods. That’s when she decided to create SUTRA’s beautiful Turmeric Latte and Cacao latte, and created a business to help people nourish their body. What I find so interesting about Ashley is that she turned her life’s greatest struggle into her life’s work and she’s a beautiful example of never giving up. She shares her battle with Lyme Disease, her biggest challenges with her e-commerce business, why influencer marketing didn’t work for her company, and the marketing strategies that are working for her today. Episode 20 I sat down with Osher Gunsberg (@osher_gunsberg), celebrity Australian TV host, who shares his story and in particular his battle with mental illness & addiction. You may also know him as Andy G or Andrew G which he previously went by. With the gift of the gab, blonde locks and contagious smile it would seem Osher was always destined to entertain or find his way into the world of television but just how did a kid with anxiety end up hosting live TV in front of millions of viewers? What toll did that take on his mental and physical health and what learnings does he have to share? Well, that's exactly what this episode is all about. Osher came over to my place in Bondi and we had a really open and honest conversation over a Turmeric Latte (haha) about what he went through behind the scenes including some terrible lows as well as some hugely positive learnings and life-changing experiences. The timing of this episode is absolutely perfect with Osher's book 'Back after the Break' launching next week. If you are an Australian and know Osher I think this episode will give you insight into the actual man behind the man the microphone that you have seen on TV for so many years. If you are from overseas, I'm sure you will still find this episode tremendously interesting with many take-home messages. In this episode we cover: Where Osher grew up & what his childhood was like What drew him towards a career in Television & radio which ultimately saw him hosting some of the most viewed shows ever in Australia (Australian Idol, The Bachelor) When alcohol crept into his life & how it became a problem How he has learned to deal with Mental illness (paranoia, OCD, anxiety etc) How he has handled alcohol addiction His battle with weight, why he went vegan & how he ended up on the cover of Men's Health much much more Oh, I forgot to mention Osher is vegan and has been for essentially over a decade...and he's hugely entertaining, so naturally, so as a good host should I let him do a lot of the talking! Also, Osher kindly had me on his show a little while back - if you haven't listened to that episode you can here.
