Scheidt radicaal-links onder Jean-Luc Mélenchon zich dan weer af? Macrons beweging is versplinterd en krijgt voornamelijk nog steun van de burgerij van 60 jaar en ouder. Eén kandidaat uit die kring staat niettemin klaar en fier overeind. Oud-premier Edouard Philippe wil graag, maar zal de Rob Jetten der Fransen hem de loef afsnijden? Gabriel Attal is jong genoeg om nu nog te verliezen, maar zijn eerzucht is niet gering. Klassiek, fatsoenlijk rechts ziet kansen bij al deze verdeeldheid. Ruraal, katholiek, bourgeois-suburb en conservatief Frankrijk kan les Républicains weer laten winnen, zoals met Charles de Gaulle, Jacques Chirac en Nicolas Sarkozy bewezen werd. Hun nieuwe partijchef, de 65-jarige Bruno Retailleau, heeft zich formeel gekandideerd. Zijn law & order en behoudend katholieke profiel past bij zijn partij, maar zijn euroscepsis en weinig charismatisch optreden roepen weinig weerklank op. Es mag sich um eine Koinzidenz handeln. Aber auffällig ist dann doch, dass sich digital geprägte Banken vermehrt in die Obhut klassisch geprägter Banker begeben. Revolut macht den früheren SocGen-CEO Frédéric Oudéa zum Europa-Chef. Bei N26 übernimmt Noch-UBS-Vorstand Mike Dargan das Ruder. Und die Solarisbank wird neuerdings von einem Mann geführt (Steffen Jentsch), der, als er halb so alt war wie er es heute ist, schon zum Abteilungsleiter bei der Helaba aufstieg. So gesehen ist Oliver Behrens mit seinen mittlerweile 62 Jahren also ein absoluter Trendsetter! Dabei kam die Nachricht, dass Behrens der neue CEO von FlatexDegiro wird, im Sommer 2024 eher überraschend. Klar, einerseits konnte der Onlinebroker nach den Verwerfungen zwischen Großaktionär Bernd Förtsch und dem langjährigen Vorstandschef Frank Niehage einen seriösen Ruhepol gut gebrauchen. Andererseits: Wäre es nicht naheliegender gewesen, auf die neue Konkurrenz durch hippe Fintechs wie Trade Republic mit einem ebenso hippen neuen CEO zu reagieren? Statt mit Oliver Behrens, Ex-Deutsche-Bank, Ex-DWS, Ex-Deka, Ex-Morgan-Stanley. Und als Präsident von Frankfurt Main Finance (das wurde er 2024 ebenfalls) ist er zwar ein gewichtiger Kopf am Finanzplatz, aber gefühlt damals auf dem Weg zum operativen Has-been, zumal man ihn wenige Wochen vorher erst zum AR-Chef der DWS gekürt hatte. Um es kurz zu machen – so kann man sich täuschen! Behrens stürzte sich in seinen neuen Job. Und keine anderthalb Jahre später hat sich die Flatex-Aktie mehr als verdreifacht und steht der Frankfurter Onlinebroker (Börsenwert jetzt >4 Mrd. Euro) so prächtig da wie nie zuvor. De coalitie van D66, VVD en CDA gaan een kabinet formeren, onder leiding van beoogd premier Rob Jetten. Gisteravond laat kreeg hij daarvoor een meerderheid achter zich in de Tweede Kamer. Maar de coalitie heeft geen meerderheid in die Kamer. Daarvoor moeten ze gaan samenwerken met andere partijen. En vooral GroenLinks-PvdA is daarin interessant. Met hun steun zijn voorstellen direct dichtbij een meerderheid. Partijleider Jesse Klaver stond in die Tweede Kamer voor het eerst tegenover de nieuwe coalitie. Politiek duider van Nieuwsuur Nynke de Zoeten vertelt in podcast De Dag welke woorden hij kiest en wat dat zegt over de koers van Klaver. De Zoeten denkt dat de kans groot is dat Klaver het coalitieakkoord nog flink kan verbouwen. Maar hoeveel ruimte hij de coalitie wil geven blijft voorlopig onduidelijk. Oud-partijleider van GroenLinks Bram van Ojik zat in 2013 in hetzelfde schuitje als Jesse Klaver. Toen moest het kabinet Rutte II ook steun vinden voor een meerderheid in de Eerste Kamer. Van Ojik zegt dat Klaver altijd aan tafel moet gaan zitten, maar zit in een lastig parket met de fusie van de partijen en verkiezingen in het vooruitzicht. Public Views About Opioid Overdose and People With Opioid Use Disorder JAMA Network Open This study completed a national web-based survey of 1552 adults in the United States in April 2025 to assess perceptions of opioid overdose deaths and opinions of people who use opioids. Those who responded to the survey primarily identified as female (60.5%) and aged 30-44 (33.7%). Political views varied, with 28.9% conservatives, 39.6% moderates, and 31.5% liberals. Most respondents viewed opioid overdose deaths as serious (88.2%). Respondents felt that people who use opioids (81%) and pharmaceutical companies (72.7%) were most responsible for reducing overdose deaths, with more liberals identifying pharmaceutical companies as responsible while moderates and conservatives more often identified individuals as responsible. 38.3% of respondents reported they were unwilling to have a person with OUD as a neighbor and 58.4% were unwilling to have a person with OUD marry into their family, with higher percentages of conservatives than liberals endorsing these beliefs.   Read this issue of the ASAM Weekly Subscribe to the ASAM Weekly Visit ASAM

Op het eind zet een extra gast, pedagoog Bob Horjus, die gepromoveerd is bij Mischa de Winter op de vreedzame wijk, het vizier op de samenleving.Volgens Ronald ademt een school pas als er onderling en met leerlingen pedagogisch en didactisch gewerkt wordt aan reflectie, avontuur en ontmoeting. Dit idee, dat hij het model Schaefer noemt, baseert hij op drie wetenschappelijke bronnen:  het reflectiedenken van Korthagen, het pedagogisch denken van Biesta en de zelfdeterminatietheorie van Deci en Ryan, zoals pedagoog Luc Stevens die op Ronalds school het Corlaer in Nijkerk meegaf: ik kan het, ik wil het zelf en ik hoor erbij.In het gesprek geeft hij allerlei voorbeelden van hoe je met zijn model reflectie, avontuur en ontmoeting in de school stimuleert. Hij schuwt niet om te prikkelen, zoals door leraren op te roepen meer tijd te steken in de lesvoorbereiding in plaats van het nakijkwerk en liever de koffie te laten staan in plaats van de leerling.Oud-rector Ron Dorreboom is geïnspireerd door Ronalds boek, vooral vanwege de samenhangende vertaling van het denken van Korthagen, Biesta en Stevens naar de school. Dat had hij achteraf in zijn carrière ook wel willen doen. State Laws Banning Prior Authorization For Medications For Opioid Use Disorder Increased Substantially, 2015–23 Health Affairs While medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) is effective treatment, most patients with OUD don't receive it and prior authorization (PA) has been a barrier to access. Researchers looked at state policies trying to address this barrier, specifically for private health insurance, between 2015 and 2022. Some states adopted “full prohibitions” against PAs while others adopted “partial prohibitions” that allowed PA under some circumstances. Overall, the number of states with at least some prohibition increased from 2 in 2015 to 22 in 2023. In addition, 7 states adopted “full prohibitions” initially, while 15 adopted “partial prohibitions”, with 4 of those 15 transitioning to “full prohibitions” later. Over zijn hoofd zit een vuilniszak en zijn handen zijn vastgebonden met tie-wraps. In het hele bedrijf is het een grote puinhoop en alle kasten zijn doorzocht en overhoop gehaald. De politie gaat uit van een roofoverval, maar zodra de forensische opsporing aan het werk gaat, lijken de bewijzen niet te kloppen. States With Substantial Increases In Buprenorphine Uptake Did So With Increased Medicaid Prescribing, 2018–24 Health Affairs Multiple federal policy changes since 2018 intended to increase buprenorphine prescribing in response to a persistent treatment gap for opioid use disorder (OUD) in the US. Anticipated national increases did not occur, but highly variable state-level trends provide important insights. This study used IQVIA data to examine all-payer and per payer prescribing across states during the period 2018–24.  Researchers found that highly disparate state-level changes suggest that federal policy impacts were mediated by state-specific factors.
