Send Me A Text Message I would love to know where you are listening to me from!!Hello again Golfists, I had a really fun outing at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo California in June of 2024. I had a ball learning more about what it is like to play golf in the wind. It was a pleasant close to the bay type of an outing that really had some brilliant cool breezes that I really enjoyed after a dreadful Friday at work. Anyway I played the Palmer tees and I got to play a US Open type of a par 3 that measured 250 yards. Thanks so much for listening to The Knackered Golfist. I made a video of my golf outing and also got to shoot some video for The Knackered Golfist youtube channel. https://youtu.be/TI0jCchi0eU?si=9v5u23T6qaRKOUSDHappy Father's Day weekend!!Support the Show.#theknackeredgolfistpodcast@theknackeredgolfistCheck out The Knackered Golfist on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/@TheKnackeredGolfistThis episode brought to you by the Forged Golf Club Appreciation page on FacebookOughton's Golf Repairhttps://oughtonsgolf.com/#myscorecardThank a Veteran Today!!https://www.pgareach.org/services/militaryThe Observant Ear Radio Network GOD Bless You!!

When Denise Huskins was kidnapped in 2015, police in Vallejo California were skeptical, convinced she and her boyfriend were carrying out an elaborate hoax. Now, their unbelievable true story is the subject of the Netflix docuseries “American Nightmare,” which details how investigators got it all wrong. Local crime journalist Henry Lee was contacted by the kidnapper Matthew Muller early in the investigation, hoping to use him as a conduit to the press. In today's Headlines, Henry joins Candice to discuss his role in the case, and how he navigated being pulled into the story himself. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Denise Huskins and her boyfriend Aaron Quinn were awoken in the middle of the night to masked intruders demanding that it was a robbery and they needed to comply. Denise and Aaron were then forced to take sedatives, and Denise was given the instruction to tie up her boyfriend, Aaron. Aaron was then escorted down to the couch, and Denise was taken out of the house and loaded into the trunk of the car. When Aaron came to the next day and called the police, the Vallejo, California police did not buy his story. And when Denise Huskins turned up two days later, they deemed the case as California's own version of the Hollywood thriller, Gone Girl. Hello again Fellow Golfists, I was able to play my last round of golf of the summer before Mr Producer goes back to school. I was fortunate enough to be able to finally play Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo California. This was the site of the 2000 through 2002 Samsung World Championship on the LPGA Tour. This golf course was "such good fun" to play with so many Justin Rose-isms of having many "ebbs and flows" and many "peaks and valleys". I struggled with my driver off the tee during my round at Hiddenbrooke but I had a very good day with my Wilson Staff Gooseneck FG 53 irons and my Titleist Bulls Eye putter. These irons continue to impress me on par3's and approaches to par 4's. I indeed have cool hands while swinging these amazing FORGED irons. I also got to get a good practice session in at the Antelope Greens Golf Course and Driving Range in Elverta California. This facility is really a good place to practice shots on a highly maintained all grass tee driving range facility. I never thought having and maintaining an all grass driving range tee at a public golf facility could be possible. This is a place that I will indeed visit again. Thanks for listening to The Knackered Golfist Podcast!! Hello again Fellow Golfists, Just wanted to share my most recent golf outing at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo California. I got to play the West Course recently. I chatted about my most recent golf round, who I played with, how long it took, funny things that happened, playing in older style golf shoes, new but older clubs I picked up, dealing with a herniated putter, my new handicap index, trying to putt with a spanish accent, with a flourish of cooler San Pablo bay breeze to finish the round with. Hoping your next putt is so easy to get in and out of, you know. Thanks for listening to The Knackered Golfist Podcast
Hello again Fellow Golfists, In this episode, I chatted about a new golf course that I got to play going into the last weekend in July 2022. This course had significant changes in elevation which I really like. It reminded me of a course that I used to play when I was in college. I got to play the East Course at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo California. I shot 82 out there and had a good time having Davis Love III swing thoughts. I drove the ball better and putted a bit more consistently. I mentioned a bit of history of the golf course and surrounding golf courses in the area and how I got to play a course a while back that is now closed. Mare Island Golf Course is now closed and I am quite sad about it. It was the golf course that was adjacent to the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo California that closed in April of 1996. It was a gem of a course that I got to play a while ago. It was the oldest course west of the Mississippi River. Anyway I sort of broke down what it was like to play golf in significant wind and how the wind messes with your brain. I adopted a new method of putting that was consistent for this round and I chose a putter from my collection that I actually have never played golf with on an actual golf course. Thanks for listening to The Knackered Golfist Podcast!!
What an opener for Season #7. Marcel and two of his childhood friends (Rico Coleman and Dwayne Jones) share their thoughts on a few Guy Codes. As you dig in and listen, you will begin to feel their nostalgic connection as this topic takes them down memory lane of growing up in Vallejo California. This one is really raw, honest, and something you need to hear. Their laughter will capture you and become contagious. Some of their language, slang and explicit stories will hit you right in the face. This episode was really important for Marcel to record because it took him back home to his beginnings and allowed him to reflect on his growth and how his community played a big role in that. These 3 fellas talk about the codes when it comes to: Dating your friend's sister / Getting with your boy's ex / Dealing with a friend who has a controlling woman / Do you get with your boy's crush / When your boy's significant other begins questioning you about him / Wingman duties and a lot more. Find a quiet space and enjoy. With many of being hit this week with some ungodly cold and snowy weather I figured it was time to bring out the smokin' hot primal Dead.. so here is a good one... this comes to you from February 21, 1969 at the Dream Bowl in Vallejo California.. We only have the second set, but perhaps that is for the best - who knows if I could handle more of this one ;) We start with a great version of 'Good Morning Little Schoolgirl' with Pigpen in fine voice. 'Doin' That Rag' follows - don't be surprised by the wierd and NSFW ending courtesy of Mr. Lesh... We move into the heart of the space, with a long wonderful 'Dark Star, then a short but sweet 'St. Stephen' That moves into a 23 minute jamming classic version of 'The Eleven'. Not to be outdone by all the psychedelia, Pigpen closes the set with a fabulous long 'Lovelight' full of his fabulous raps and Garcia's masterful runs. Not enough yet? Well the boys supply a wonderful 'Morning Dew' encore. Vallejo California, 20. desember 1968. David Faraday og Betty Lou Jensen skulle på sin første ordentlige date. De kjøre ut til Lake Herman Road, et populært sted for unge forelskede. Kim Nicolini. That's a name you should have heard of before now. Kim Nicolini is one of the most talented individuals I know. A mother, poet, artist, photographer- a Renaissance Woman. You should know her name and her work.Kim and I worked together in Concord California back in the early 1990s. Rarely do I get involved with co-workers passions but for some reason I felt there was something about Kim I wanted to experience. One day she invited me to come to one of her poetry readings in Vallejo California. I still remember that evening. Kim's poetry was intense, raw, unapologetic- it bled. I bought two of her books of poetry and wanted to get her on tape. I created a show featuring her and her poetry and the result is "Razor's Edge". You can discover more about this uniquely gifted woman on her website http://kdotdammit.livejournal.com/. But first, experience this woman's passion by listening to the podcast either by clicking on the above title or through iTunes (One Thousand Hertz).Hey Kim- Julian Schnabel has nothing on you.
How are winning Toastmasters speeches created? I asked Christine Robinson, whose speech The Empty Chair won the District 57 Spring Conference May 8, 2010, held at the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo California. In this podcast interview, Christine discusses the original motivation for the theme of the speech and then shares the mechanics of writing and practicing the speech. Her speech is rooted in the passion and conviction for the topic: "It had it's own vitality...it is time, now more than ever, to fill our chairs, to be present for others." Tomorrow, I'll share Part 2 of the interview, where Christine talks about the upcoming contest in Palm Desert. To hear Part 1 of the interview, click on the podcast icon below.
