Pierwsze pieniądze zarobił, gdy sprzedał wiaderko własnoręcznie zebranych wiśni i czereśni. Miał wtedy około 10 lat. Odkąd pamięta ciągnęło go do samodzielności i możliwości decydowania o sobie.

Good morning from Pharma and Biotech daily: the podcast that gives you only what's important to hear in Pharma e Biotech world. Bayer has recently opened a new plant in California to produce cell therapies, specifically a Parkinson's disease treatment being tested by its subsidiary Bluerock. This is a significant step forward in the field of cell therapy development.Meanwhile, Sana, another cell therapy developer, is implementing cost-saving measures, including layoffs and delaying certain research projects. These actions are aimed at ensuring the company's financial stability. In the world of biotech, Crispr gene editing technology is gaining increasing importance. Many companies in this field are led by former students of the pioneering scientists in the Crispr field. This shows the significant impact and potential of this technology. After a slow summer, there has been an uptick in biotech M&A activity. One notable acquisition is that of Orchard Therapeutics. This indicates the growing interest and investment in the biotech industry. In regulatory news, Pepgen has received clearance from the FDA to begin a study of its muscular dystrophy drug. This is an important milestone for the company, and we can expect to see the first results of this study next year.On the other hand, Alnylam has faced a setback as the FDA denied expanded approval for its RNA drug for a rare heart condition. This decision has set back the company's plans, highlighting the challenges faced by pharmaceutical companies in gaining regulatory approval for their products.Moving on to other news, Alvotech, a biopharmaceutical company, has received another rejection from the FDA for its biosimilar of Stelara. The FDA cited "deficiencies" at Alvotech's manufacturing plant as the reason for the rejection. This marks the fourth FDA rejection for Alvotech since last year.In a recent acquisition, Biogen has announced layoffs at Reata Pharmaceuticals, which it acquired for $7 billion. These layoffs will impact approximately one-third of Reata's workforce. In regulatory news, the European Commission has ordered Illumina to divest its subsidiary Grail. This decision comes after years of regulatory challenges and investigations. In clinical trial updates, Eli Lilly's mirikizumab has shown promising results in a Phase III trial for Crohn's disease. Over 54% of patients treated with mirikizumab achieved clinical remission at 52 weeks. Eli Lilly plans to submit a marketing application for mirikizumab in Crohn's disease to the FDA in 2024.Overall, these developments highlight the challenges faced by pharmaceutical companies in gaining regulatory approval for their products and the impact of acquisitions on workforce restructuring. The recent rejection by the FDA of a label expansion for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals' drug Onpattro to treat a rare heart condition has caused disappointment for the company. However, CEO Yvonne Greenstreet has outlined the company's future plans. This rejection sheds light on the challenges faced by drugmakers in gaining approval for their treatments. There is a delicate balance between patients and drugmakers wanting more liberal approval processes, while the medical community aims to ensure that drugs provide significant benefits compared to the risks. The FDA has been working towards bridging this gap through programs like Accelerating Rare Disease Cures (ARC). ARC aims to provide education campaigns and resources for developers to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.Alnylam's rejection serves as a reminder that surprises can still arise in the drug development and regulatory arenas. It also highlights the need for continuous innovation and adaptation in this field.Looking ahead, gene editing technology, particularly CRISPR-based therapies, holds great promise and could soon receive US approval. Many startups and scientists are actively working on advancements in this gene editing revolution. In summary, Alnylam's disap
Reading Kenny's website www.bluerockvineyard.com, you will learn that the night he met his wife it was love ar first sight...for him. Tongue tied the rest of the night, the story ends well with solid marriage; lets face it, it would have to be if she stuck around through the creation of a winery. The story behind Blue Rock winery is storied. You gon't just buy a delapidated farmhouse with a collapsed roof on land that many might have said will never work..but sometimes ignorance is bliss and the Kahn's bought it regardless. You might think that Kenny and his wife were Californians who had anticipated this lifestyle all along, no, they are from memphis (the hot bed of the American wine trade) and knew little more that barbecue...but had a hankering of fine food. Have a listen and you too will be mesmorized and inspired by the story.

Bin Lu has been the executive chef of The Restaurant at Blue Rock in Washington, Va., about a two-hour drive from Washington, D.C., in the bucolic Virginia countryside, since it opened in October of 2021. A year-and-a-half in he continues to delight guests with a constantly evolving prix-fixe menu.Lu was born in Shanghai, China, but immigrated to the United States when he was 2 or 3 years old. He was drawn to cooking in college, where he didn't particularly care for the food that was available on campus and figured he could do better on his own. However, he didn't know anything about cooking, and this was long before any recipe or technique could be looked up online. But he did research and got the hang of it and realized that he was spending a lot more time learning to cook than paying attention to school. So upon graduation he started working at restaurants, including CityZen in D.C., under executive chef Eric Ziebold, and at Pineapple and Pearls, also in D.C., where he worked his way up the ranks and ended up as executive chef.He recently shared his approach to cooking and his experimentation in bringing out different flavors in his dishes.

Hello again Fellow Golfists, Just wanted to share my most recent golf outing at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo California. I got to play the West Course recently. I chatted about my most recent golf round, who I played with, how long it took, funny things that happened, playing in older style golf shoes, new but older clubs I picked up, dealing with a herniated putter, my new handicap index, trying to putt with a spanish accent, with a flourish of cooler San Pablo bay breeze to finish the round with. Hoping your next putt is so easy to get in and out of, you know. Thanks for listening to The Knackered Golfist Podcast

Welcome to our serial killer podcast. For fans of the true crime podcast genre. In this new episode of our serial killer podcast, we take a trip to the San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, 5 days before Xmas 1968. The teenage couple of David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen go on their first date, and find themselves in a lover's lane, in Benicia, on a pitch dark night. An unknown car parks beside them. Within a matter of minutes the pair have been gunned down in cold blood. Join us in this serial killer podcast several months later, Independence Day 1969, Darlene Ferrin and Mike Mageau take a trip out to Blue Rock Springs Park, only a couple of miles from Benicia, to enjoy some quality time with each other. After a few moments the young couple find themselves the victims of a horrific attack, being shot multiple times at point blank range. Is it possible that these two crimes were the work of a serial killer? Moments after the pair have been left for dead, an anonymous call is made to the Vallejo Police Department. The caller reports the double shooting and informs the call dispatcher that he was the guilty party. He then mocks the dispatcher as he hangs up. Although the authorities never realized it, the hunt for the Zodiac Killer was only just beginning. Listen to this serial killer podcast to find out what happened next.
