Welcome back to the Heart of the Dominion and season 2 of my Ironsworn: Sundered Isles series. After a brief conversation with Quon, the clockwork contact for the Ebb, about freeing an important prisoner in Deepwater Harbor's dungeons, Cassidy rushes to fulfill her iron vow to Church of the Enduring Servant's Inquisitor Azriel Stirling to protect the crew of the Enduring Blade as they claim it for resources. However, when the Revenant arrives before any others, Cassidy investigates the sky island and experiences a horrible prophecy in the mists... One that quickly comes true as the Bloodsworn descend on the sky island. Rene goes through the campaign creation steps to adjust some of the Truths from season 1 to reflect for the new part of the world this story takes place in, creates his character for the game - Cassidy McCabe, a Haunted Cutthroat Spy - and makes a map of the Myriads we'll be exploring in this season! Welcome back to more Koriko: A Magical Year by Jack Harrison & Mousehole Press! Genie's Magical Year has come to an end, and the last few weeks of the year mean she faces the big decision - does she stay in Koriko? Return home to her mentor? Or move on and go somewhere new? I don't think anyone will be surprised by the answer, but there are some really nice moments in this episode to close out our time in Koriko. What an incredible experience and I hope that you all enjoyed it. Oh, and listen to Yvette Young's incredible song Always (and the Fireside Version, too!). "Am I a fool for laughing at the memories? Rainy days spent watching time slip through my fingertips. And I'll pull away. I'll tell myself it's better. Maybe now is not our time to be but I can't deny that always - I will love you always." ----more---- Friend of the show Raso & I just released a game called MECH, a Carved by RUNE hack of GilaRPGs' incredible RUNE & REAP games, which I've played on this channel. It's a solo TTRPG with tactical combat where you pilot a MECH against Dormants - apocalyptic threats to humanity. Can you remember the Promise and pledge it or beat back the kaiju to buy the city more time? More will be coming out for MECH in 2025! Welcome back to more Koriko: A Magical Year by Jack Harrison & Mousehole Press! Winter comes to Koriko, and Genie is coming up on the end of her Magical Year. She spends time with her Confidants, even meeting a few new ones, and pushes her limits as the city's witch. She steps a bit outside of her comfort zone, but sometimes that's the only way to grow. The season ends with a heartfelt gathering and gift from her friends. I made a Ko-Fi if you feel absurdly generous and want to help cover podcast hosting costs & all the upkeep. Welcome, brave adventurers, to Heroes Rise. This is the 252nd and final entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday November 18th 2023, and released Wednesday November 22nd 2023 over at heroesrisepodcast.com.Alas, after 252 episodes, our campaign is coming to an end, but we'll always be around to lend you a helping hand. With over 250 episodes and almost as many Adventurer's Pack picks and Rests both Short and Long, we know that we've created a wealth of information that's not only applicable to D&D 5e, but to TTRPGs as a whole. Over the coming weeks, we will be reshuffling the website to place a focus on the written content, along with a full audio archive, both on the current RSS feeds as well as a public repository so future access to the existing show catalogue is guaranteed. Also, Lennon and Mikey will have copies of everything (seriously, they treat external hard drives like Ryu treats browser tabs), so if you're ever after something in particular you can always drop us a message and we'll be happy to help! Also, the Heroes Rise Discord server won't be going anywhere! We love the community we've built here, and although the show will be gone, this band of brave adventurers will march on! Though, naturally, there will be a couple of changes. Firstly, everyone who was a Patron will get an exclusive Moneylender role, as a small way of saying thanks for your support over the years. The Super Secret Patron Lounge will become read-only, and it'll still only be accessible to those who were Moneylenders, because we recognise the Eldritch Pacts we've made. Secondly, the show staff will be given the role of Moderators, because someone's gotta stop the Pungeon from leaking. But there's still one last adventure to go, so in this week's Adventurer's Pack, we take a look back at some of our favourite tools from the past six years:AnyDiceDice EnvyOwlbear RodeoNext we check out some D&D News as we take a look at the latest hardcover release, The Book of Many ThingsAnd finally, we head on over to the Scrying Pool to see what you [all] have to say.Dice Envy One does not simply use dice as a mere game tool. This is the 246th entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday August 26th 2023, and released Wednesday August 30th 2023 over at heroesrisepodcast.com.In this week's Adventurer's Pack… OK, Lennon just wrote a bunch of 1980s slang in this, and I wasn't comfortable saying it in the 80s, so there's no way I'm saying it 40 years later.
