Can you imagine a Rakshasa elevating Ramas's character. Yes, Maricha explains to Ravana that Rama is the embodiment of righteousness, he is an equable person with truthfulness as his valour, and as with Indra to all gods he is the king of entire world. How we can practically live like rama? What's the essence of the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Upanishads.?

Welcome, brave adventurers, to Heroes Rise. This is the 246th entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday August 26th 2023, and released Wednesday August 30th 2023 over at heroesrisepodcast.com.In this week's Adventurer's Pack… OK, Lennon just wrote a bunch of 1980s slang in this, and I wasn't comfortable saying it in the 80s, so there's no way I'm saying it 40 years later. So ignoring all of that, we're left with “Dungeons, Laser, Dragon, Terrain, Minis”. Next we check out some D&D News as we take a sneak peek at the Planescape box set (and a couple of monsters you'll encounter), as well as getting our first look at Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. After that we'll take a Short Rest and head into the Archives of Candlekeep to learn all about the Rakshasa; before finally heading into the Scrying Pool to see what you [all] have to say.Community QuestionsSo first we had the castle of tentacles in the giant resource, and now there's more wriggling otherworldly oddness coming in Phandelver. How do you feel about the eldritch horror creeping into D&D? Tentacled cows, flying jellied d4s with eyes, and a dragon about to kill Bambi's family. What did you think was the oddest thing from the Phandelver videos? Why are you all fired up about Planescape? Were you a fan of the videogame? Did you play modules from older editions? Or are you just feeding off the hype from everyone else? Dice Envy One does not simply use dice as a mere game tool. In this episode, we see how the brothers fight back hard against Viraadha to rescue Sita, only to realize that Viraadha was not a Rakshasa. Several sages and rishis begin to move out of Chitrakoota, fearing asuras and rakshas. With Bharata gone, Rama felt low and seeing the sages leave, he decided to move into denser forests. The group meets Sage Atri and his wife Anasuya on this journey, and spend time with them before departing the next morning. As they travel, they encounter a Rakshasa named Viradha, which abducts Sita. Despite Rama and Lakshmana's best efforts, the rakshasa overwhelms them. While the brothers lay on the ground, Sita is still in the clutches of Viraadha shouting for help. Listen to the podcast to find out what happens next.. Ramakatha Rasavahini Audio Book (Ramayana) - Stream of Sacred Sweetness Ramayana by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba (Translated into English by Sri N. Kasturi) Rama is the Indweller in every body. He is the Atma-Rama, the Rama (Source of Bliss) in every individual. His blessings upsurging from that inner spring can confer peace and bliss. He is the very embodiment of dharma, of all the codes of morality that hold mankind together in love and unity. The Ramayana, the Rama story, teaches two lessons: the value of detachment and the need to become aware of the Divine in every being. Faith in God and detachment from objective pursuits are the keys for human liberation. Give up sense objects, and you gain Rama. Sita gave up the luxuries of Ayodhya so she could be with Rama, in the period of “exile”. When she cast longing eyes on the golden deer and craved for it, she lost the presence of Rama. Renunciation leads to joy; attachment brings about grief. Be in the world, but not of it. Each brother, comrade, companion, and collaborator of Rama is an example of a person saturated with dharma. Dasaratha is the representative of the merely physical, with the ten senses. The three qualities (gunas) —serenity, activity, and ignorance (sathwa, rajas, thamas)— are the three queens. The four goals of life, the pu- rusharthas —i.e. righteousness, riches, fulfilment, and liberation— are the four sons. Lakshmana is the intellect; Sugriva is discrimination (viveka); Vali is despair; and Hanuman is the embodiment of courage. The bridge is built over the ocean of delusion. The three Rakshasa chiefs, Ravana, Kumbhakarna, and Vib- hishana, are personifications of the active (rajasic), ignorant (thamasic), and pure (sathwic) qualities. Sita is the Awareness of the Universal Divinity (Brahma-jnana), which the individual must acquire and regain while under- going travails in the crucible of life. Make your heart pure and strong, contemplating the grandeur of the Ramayana. Be established in the faith that Rama is the Reality of your existence. - Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
