Welcome everyone, I know it has been a while but now it is time to deliver,Today I invited Berlin resident Danny Satori, whom I met at ADE 2022 at a.t.e.m. music marketing get together, thanks to Kered from Loot recordings. Danny is no stranger to the art of expression, whereby as a professional Pianist, DJ/Producer and Commentator. He has consummated live piano performances on behalf of the Embassy of the United States (BER), DJ'ed at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) for the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM) and is a featured artist on Karmic Power Records (NYC/BER), Soul Gangster Recordings (PRT) and Epoque Music (BCN). His ethos for interculture is engaged as a Commentator on behalf of the Meet US Program, Public Affairs Sectors, U.S. Embassy & Consulates in Germany. His love of music started at the age of four, when he began learning the piano. His training developed whilst attending the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School, under the tutelage of Dr. Irina Tchantceva (Applied Piano) and Roberta Janelle (Music Theory). He further advanced at the University of Rhode Island, under the advisement of Dr. Manabu Takasawa, Chair of the Piano Department, thereby completing his Masters studies in Piano Performance. As a DJ/Producer, he performs multi-faceted styles of Deep House, Disco, House, Funky House, Tech House, Progressive, Techno and Throwbacks. His curated DJ sets immerse dance floors with uplifting soulfulness, industrial- strength revolution and eclipsing transcendence. He has performed hybrid DJ sets as a resident-artist for AcousticaElectronica at Club Oberon, American Repertory Theater (CAM) and House of Yes (NYC). Internationally, he has DJ'ed for Electric Monday at KitKatClub (BER), Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) at Dante K&B (AMS) and Identity Festival for Grün Berlin / KULTURspreePARK (BER). Kyodai means "brothers" in Japanese and that's a good clue for guessing who's behind these two heads, the producers are known under a variety of different names! They started at the end of the 90's their main project called WAGON COOKIN' alongside with their own record label APPETIZERS and the duo gained respect from musical heavyweights like Lauren Garnier, Masters At Work, Jimpster, Gilles Peterson, Rainer Trüby, and they regularly release under a variety of different names for labels such as Compost, Odori, Om, Lovemonk......... Kyodai together with Wagon Cookin have had a strong run of releases since their debut here on Freerange Records Their "Mi Rumba EP" must have impressed a lot of people as they went on to release a follow up EP for Mad Mats blossoming Local Talk label with "Breaking EP", supported by top names, until reaching the top list of the Gilles Peterson's "An All Winners Show", and to be part of the GTA V soundtrack, also have an EP due on Poker Flat called "Never Know". Kerri Chandler dug it enough to include on his RA podcast and it was also picked up for the Cielo Compilation on Nervous, resulting many request for remixes and productions. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the label and their first acclaimed album APPETIZERS both with the same name, they are preparing a bunch of releases restarting the label with the original Album in digital format and new EP's counting for this special occasion with big names from the electronic scene as well. Hi all, Some of you may know I've relocated from Sunny Scotland to a rather damp Sydney, Australia. While trying to get to grips with this new city and the Aussie rate of pace (pretty chilled) I've found this old nugget of a mix I recorded back in 2005. It was a promotional mix I would give away on CD at gigs in Edinburgh (the old way of sharing music and promotion. It's all much easier now with file sharing, podcasts, facebook and what have you. Some big tunes for me back then are included in the mix.
