This week's episode is 1) the last time I'll be talking about Stardew Valley (I promise) and 2) all about how Stardew Valley has weaseled its way into my top 100 games of all-time.
This week's episode is all about my continued love affair with Stardew Valley, with a little bit of Forza Horizon 6 on the side.
This week's episode is all about Stardew Valley and how it's become my surprising comfort game while I go through a difficult time in my real life.
This week's episode is all about Mixtape, a game I really liked and almost loved because of a shared love of music. What holds it back is the fact that as a game, there's just not much going on, but if that doesn't bother you, you may end up having a wonderful time as one of yesterday's heroes.
It appears that Xbox got sick of the whole weekly negative news cycle schtick and has decided to go in the other direction. Is this week's news truly all that positive? I sincerely depends on how you look at it and nobody will actually know until much later. Asha Sharma has made new additions to her leadership team. Sarah Bond's former team has been replaced by alumni of Meta, Instacart, and CoreAI which all happen to be people that worked with Asha at the same time she led those respective companies. Is this the invasion of AI into Xbox as we initially feared? We get into that, but there's almost zero doubt that Xbox anticipated this because they pulled out quite the plot twist. Copilot for console and mobile is stopped, effective immediately. So, while there is more AI focused leadership than ever in Xbox, they also just axed one of the worst things the brand started rolling out last year. How do the Dukes feel about all of this? Well, that's why you're here, no? Pull up a chair, relax, and let's talk about Xbox some more before Brad returns and ruins it all. Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement.0:00:00 - Intro0:09:13 - Health Is Wealth0:16:28 - Halo 2 & 3 reportedly being remade0:38:22 - New Xbox boot up screen for the first time in 6 years0:42:12 - Jez Corden's latest Xbox exclusivity scoop1:10:20 - GameStop is trying to acquire eBay1:17:06 - Steam Machine pre orders soon?1:21:17 - PS4 and XB1 may finally be on the way out1:27:54 - Bank Of America wants higher priced games1:33:03 - NBA: The Run revealed and arrives June 20261:38:00 - Are content creators heavily influencing the conversation?1:56:15 - Marathon has story plans for the next few years1:59:00 - Looking ahead at May 2026 game releases2:27:17 - What We're Playing3:10:04 - Xbox is giving up Copilot and bringing in a new leadership group Learn more about your ad choices. 🧭 REBEL Rundown 📌 Key Points 💨 HFNC met criteria for non-inferiority to BPAP for preventing intubation or death within 7 days in four of the five ARF subgroups.🧪 Bayesian dynamic borrowing increased power across subgroups but created variable certainty, especially in smaller groups such as COPD.🫁 The immunocompromised hypoxemia subgroup did not meet non-inferiority, leading to early trial stopping for futility.️ Rescue BPAP use, subgroup-specific exclusion criteria, and non-standardized BPAP delivery are important contextual factors that influence how subgroup results should be interpreted. Click here for Direct Download of the Podcast. 📝 Introduction Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BPAP) has long been a foundational modality in the management of acute respiratory failure (ARF), particularly in COPD exacerbations and cardiogenic pulmonary edema, where it can rapidly reduce work of breathing and improve gas exchange. It remains a core tool in our respiratory support arsenal.High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), however, has expanded what we can offer patients by delivering many of the same physiologic benefits through a far more comfortable interface. With high flows, modest PEEP, and effective dead-space washout, HFNC can improve oxygenation and decrease work of breathing while preserving the ability to talk, cough, eat, and interact with staff and family. This combination of physiologic support and tolerability makes HFNC especially attractive in patients where comfort, anxiety, or cardiovascular stability are key considerations, and in settings where prolonged noninvasive support may be needed. Rather than competing with BPAP, HFNC broadens our options in ARF and allows us to better match the modality to the patient and their underlying disease process. The RENOVATE trial set out to answer a high-impact question across five distinct etiologic groups: Is HFNC non-inferior to BPAP (NIV) for preventing intubation or death in acute respiratory failure? 🧾 Paper Azoulay É, et al. This week's episode features my final thoughts on Final Fantasy VII, my first time playing ARC Raiders with a friend, and the surprising nightmare that was Little Kitty, Big City. I appreciate a lot of Final Fantasy VII--the music is great, the story is surprisingly interesting, and I love the way the game transitions from gameplay to cutscene--but I hate playing so much of it. I've never been a turn-based person and the ATB system hasn't done anything to change that, and then there are all the minigames (and boy are there a lot of minigames). Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the game, I just wish I played it when it originally came out instead of now, almost 30 years later. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. After wanting to play it ever since it was first announced, I finally played, beat, and loved Astro Bot; it reminded me of when I used to love PlayStation and those PS2 days that'll always be the best gaming time of my life. But that's not all folks, in addition to Astro Bot, I talk about Stray and CloverPit, beating the former and being done with the latter. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. In this first Attack the Backlog of the new year (and in its different format), I talk about some of the silly things that annoyed me in Cyberpunk 2077, followed by a discussion of the potential games I hope to play in 2026, including what's first on the docket. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. I liked a lot about Cyberpunk 2077--from the side missions to the combat to the visuals and plenty more-- but the character of Johnny Silverhand and the performance of Keanu Reeves was not one of them. This wouldn't have been a big problem if he wasn't such a crucial part of the main story, but he is and can't help but show up all of the time, so I couldn't help but only like Cyberpunk 2077 when I thought I was going to love it. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. This episode is, surprise surprise, all about Undertale, an RPG where you can complete the entire adventure without killing a single soul...or you can kill everyone if that's your fancy. It's up to you (or me in this case) to decide what kind of tale you want to tell. Spoilers: I went the pacifist way. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. This is the ideal. With every Second Runs episode, I hope to find out I not only still love the game I'm playing, but that I love it even more. That was the case with Sleeping Dogs. I remembered liking it a lot the first time I played it, but I adored it the second time. I adored it so much, I made it one of the rare games I 100%-ed, completing every aspect of the game, DLC included. Not only that, but I think I might do it a second time with the original release (which is truly insane if I do it). Long story short, Sleeping Dogs is a fantastic game, one well worth playing if you've never played it before.

This episode is all about Shovel Knight, an action-platformer that takes much inspiration from classic games of the 8-bit era--like DuckTales, Castlevania III, and, most notably, Mega Man--and then uses that inspiration to make itself into a classic of this era. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. (And if you haven't already, or are a listener and not a watcher, please like, subscribe, hit the bell, and all that jazz; it may not seem like much, but it goes a long way in helping support the show and site in general. I would appreciate it greatly.)
This episode is all about Cruis'n Blast, an arcade racer I've been wanting to play for a while that, to my surprise, works more like a time trial racer than a traditional competitive racer.
This episode is all about Revenge of the Savage Planet, the sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet, basically asking you to do most of the same things, but this time with some new abilities and a new perspective.
This episode is all about Journey to the Savage Planet, an action-adventure game where you're sent to a distant planet tasked with finding out if its fit for human life, or maybe a bit too...savage for it.
This episode is all about Mario Kart World, a Mario Kart game that introduces maybe the best mode that's ever been in a Mario Kart game, while also introducing some of the worst changes the series has seen.
This episode is all about Contra: Rogue Corps, a Contra game that doesn't know what it means to be a Contra game.
