There are already PS6 rumors gaining momentum. Does this further prove that PS5 has been sort of a dud? I don't know. And we aren't going into how true or possible this rumor is: just talking about what it would take to be a success. Plus, I share more YoVG deep lore. correction I misspeak about Marathon: I have only seen the official gameplay trailer and I say "when you watch the influencer/content creator gameplay it is much faster/more interesting." BUT I meant their videos TALKING about their gameplay. As far as I have seen, no content creator has released footage of themselves actually playing. Just thoughts on their playtest experience which gives me hope that it will be good.

In today's Daily Fix:Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet doesn't have an official release date, but according to Bloomberg, the game may not make it out until 2027 at the earliest. That would make it seven years into the life of the PlayStation 5, and there's a good chance Sony will have already announced the PS6. Could Intergalactic be withheld from the current-gen PS5 and be a launch title for the PS6? And would that mean Naughty Dog has missed the PS5 generation entirely, outside of remakes and remasters? Speaking of release dates, CD Projekt has confirmed that the upcoming The Witcher 4 will not be released earlier by the end of 2026, which means another 2027 release date at the earliest. Although we didn't intentionally mean to take a week off, things fell in a way that forced us to, but at least it was only one week. At this time, Sony has made a few announcements and moves that may make for an interesting 2025 and probably beyond. Sean and Marc have quite a bit to talk about from the last few weeks.Sony has sent a letter of intent to Kadokawa Corporation for possible acquisition. If the acquisition actually happens, Sony would become the majority owner of the company and, by extension, a majority owner of From Software, Spike Chunsoft, Acquire on the video game side, several anime, manga, and light novel production houses, and a whole bunch of other stuff as well. Will this actually happen? Will From Software become the next PlayStation Studio? Or is this more of a Bungie situation? There are also reports via Bloomberg about Sony developing their own native handheld that could potentially play PS5 games. Effectively countering Microsoft's Phil Spencer announcement from the week before, but also equaling the context that its "years away." Will we actually see this handheld? What makes it different than having a separate lower res SKU like Xbox Series S? And will it play PS6 games?
