A big announcement was expected during the HALO Championship Series, and it certainly delivered, as one of the worst-kept secrets in gaming finally became real: the HALO Combat Evolved remake has evolved into HALO Campaign Evolved. Where all of the story levels are remade in Unreal Engine, a new set of prequel levels is added with Sgt Johnson and Master Chief, and it is also coming to PlayStation 5. Set to make its series debut on the console at some point in 2026. Does Sean feel anything for this? Also, Sarah Bond echoes the sentiments of console exclusives being old hat, but Sony and Nintendo would beg to differ, as they continue to pump them out for their consoles. But will it really make a difference for the "Premium" console/hybrid that Microsoft is planning as the next and perhaps final "Xbox"? Marc certainly has some thoughts here. Parece que Xbox da más novedades a la semana que jugadores concurrentes tiene su último lanzamiento en Steam. Después de unos días en los que el tema estrella fueron los cambios a Game Pass, ahora nos toca hablar de otra de subida de precio; aunque en esta ocasión no afectará a los consumidores de forma directa... Y puede acabar siendo tanto o más perjudicial. Hablamos de la subida de precio de los devkits en un 33%, justo cuando uno de los juegos sorpresa del año como Absolum reconoció no haber pensado siquiera en lanzar una versión para Xbox. Y para redondear la semana, además de confirmar que tendremos nueva generación (a pesar de los rumores de que estaba sobre la mesa la posibilidad de que no), la presidenta de Xbox, Sarah Bond, ha dado los primeros detalles y parece que será muy cara. En cuanto a los juegos de la semana en el GG, yo mismo traeré uno de los fenómenos del año como es el hit indie Megabonk. In today's Daily Fix:Hot off the heels of their ASUS collab, the ROG Xbox Ally X, Xbox president Sarah Bond has said that the next Xbox will be a 'premium' console/PC hybrid with a 'very high-end, curated experience.' This has lead many to speculate that the next Xbox following the Series X and S will be considerably more expensive, akin to high-end gaming PCs (a mid-range gaming PC already costs upwards of a thousand dollars). In related news, the price of Xbox development kits has gone up, but considerably more compared to retail consoles. Series X and S dev kits are now selling for $2,000, up 25% from $1,500. And finally, Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 for October has been revealed, and The Outer Worlds 2 leads the pack.

Contraband was announced back in 2021. Since then, we've seen just about nothing from the game. No messaging beats, no trailers, and even the Xbox executives didn't yap about this one! After four years of development, this collaboration between Xbox and Avalanche has come to a close. Adding it to the list of canceled Xbox titles, this one feels different to Dependable Cog and Choco Matty.
