What's this? A game about Enoch Powell the British politician from the 70's? Or is it about the blind guy Denzel Washington played who was really into the bible? or is it about the many breasted one? I'm afraid the answer is 'none of the above', but strap yourselves in for the fever dream that is El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron!

This week, I share my thoughts on Byleth being announced as the final Smash Bros DLC character (for now at least), touch on the greatness that is Witcher 3 on the Switch, and I'm finally playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Oh yeah, and Mark McCue and I talk about a bear that keeps a bird trapped in his backpack. If you just want to hear about that, skip to 14:50. And toss us a follow, pleeeease? We'll follow you back! Twitter - @memberthegame Instagram - @memberthegame I missed out on Banjo-Kazooie back in the Nintendo 64 days. As I've (infamously) made clear on the show, I'm not a huge fan of old-school 3D platformers, and it just never jumped out at me back in the day. I always thought it looks colourful and nice, but I never really had a crazy urge to play it. Luckily, I have a friend named Mark McCue that wouldn't stop badgering me to give Banjo a shot, and for the sake of this show, I finally did. And it was absolutely delightful. I can't even explain how impressed I was with Banjo-Kazooie, although I'll give it a shot on the podcast this week. To be fair, I did play the Xbox Arcade remastered version and not the original Nintendo 64 release, but from what I've been told, that's the way to go. The game SCREAMS retro gaming, from the graphics, to the music, to the gameplay, it took everything Mario 64 did and did it better. And that's from a life long Mario fanboy. This game is fucking awesome, and if you haven't played it, you really should. We'll tell you why on the show this week. Mark McCue is a Banjo-Kazooie super fan, and I'm a junkie in training, and if you're not already one of those things, we're gonna change your mind over the next hour or so. Enjoy the podcast!

Show host Chris ORegan talks to Craig Howard, the Creative Director of Lucid Studios the creators of Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions about how the game came into being as well as a clutch of other topics including making games on old mobile phones and ultra rare Dreamcast shoot-em-ups. When the Xbox 360 first appeared in 2006 it came with the Xbox Arcade, which was a new platform to deliver smaller games. One of those games was Geometry Wars, which rapidly became one of the most popular games on the system. With the demise of Bizarre Creations, the creators of the Geometry Wars games, the hope that a new title in the franchise were dashed. That is until Activision resurrected the Sierra label and decided to publish Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions on practically every current platform. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/sausage/TSF_Episode45.mp3 The Sausage Factory 45 was edited by Chris O'Regan

After digesting the E3 Conference, the guys return with Chris’ pick for the show. Not many have heard of this game, but it critically did receive positive reviews. Chris had a lot of enthusiasm when he initially picked the game due its “Metroid” like nature, but he expresses a slightly different “tune” when it comes to this game. Plus, Mike and Ben (the polarity bros) “tackled” Outland in co-op mode (no pun intended). Prior to the main feature, Josh talks about his experience at E3. It’s the big year for next gen consoles and games! Can you feel the excitement?! We hope so! Enjoy!

by gamehounds@gmail.com (Cooper Hawkes and Edie Sellers)We are delusional, and don't a single one of you point it out to us! This week, Holy Goalie and Edie Sellers are joined by a very, very sane Tony of The Rumble Pack to review news of the week. On the other side of the table, Goalie and Edie are raving, barking mad. Want proof, just listen. In their lucid moments, topics include:Screenshots of the supposedly leaked new Xbox Dashboard appeared (titled the Berlin dashboard), and then disappeared, on the internet. How real are they? The world may never know. Activistion Publishing (not Activision Blizzard) got a new CEO this week, and he's the brains behind the Kevin Butler campaign for Sony. Sony updates its Terms of Service, which now includes a disclaimer for a host of symptoms attributable to extended exposure to 3D. Microsoft releases Game Pack 007 for Game Room. Yawn. A Lionhead producer says that there will be nearly a half million lines of dialogue in the new Fable 3. Amazon Germany posts pre-orders for a new Xbox Arcade bundle, priced at 149 Euros. Wal-Mart posts pre-orders for a Kinect bundle (with one game) for $200. Driver San Francisco delayed to 2011. I created a topic on a forum stating how cool it would be if Xbox Arcade recreated the NES game - Blaster Master. While YouTubing I came across a lot of videos that featured the for this game and it brought back memories on the hours I used to spend playing this classic. Out of the blue I decided to remix the intro music for this game. I hope that you like it! YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI7x0rwLFmc
