The Beyond Limits class is a scriptural journey into embracing supernatural possibilities with Jason Villanueva, meeting on Wednesdays from October 7, 2020 to November 11, 2020. The class will now run for 6 weeks and will meet IN PERSON and also on ZOOM. We’ll have worship for 30 minutes before the teaching portion of the meeting begins. In John 1, we see that Jesus is referred to as the Word. He was with God, in the beginning, and became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus left and sent the Spirit, and it is by that Spirit that we now give word, the expressing of the thoughts of God to the world. In order to receive treatment for illnesses, one must submit themselves to a doctor's care, and be open to treatment. It takes time, it's not an overnight process. The church, we Christians should be willing to receive the broken and care for them in their brokenness as God has cared for us in ours. We must also be as vulnerable to allow others in to our lives to help us through that very healing. Jesus receives the broken not with judgement or condemnation, but gives people what they need when they need it. Listen in! What have we believed about who we are in Christ? What thoughts do we have toward ourselves? Our abilities Our inadequacies Our lack?We need to bring our thoughts under the judgement of the word. Hebrews 4:12-13For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.Division of Soul & Spirit - Is this me, or is this God? Is this the mind of Jason, of is this the Mind of Christ!? How am I thinking? Am I setting my mind on the flesh ( soul ) or am I setting my mind on the Spirit? JUDGE MY THOUGHTS LORDSubmit your thoughts and attitudes to God for judgment. Lord, here’s how I’m feeling. Here’s what I’m thinking. Here’t the current attitude of my heart. Give your judgement, Lord. Is this Soul? Is this Spirit? Are we SOUL thinking or are we SPIRIT thinking? Romans 8:6-8For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Stepping into spiritual authority. Prodigal son was given a ring, sandals, a robe and a meal with the Father .... A ring on our finger signifying authority we’ve not earnedSandals on our feet showing Status we’ve not strived to attain , living in sonship and freedom. The Father's robe, clothing us in his righteousness, giving us his appearance, walking in his likeness. Eating at a table in intimacy, consuming food and having our fill of that which will never leave us empty.
