The Hairbrained Conversations podcast is by far one of my favorite hair podcasts. Hosted by Gordon Miller, this podcast brings the best in the industry together and offers listeners a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. What sets this podcast apart is not only the incredible guests that Miller interviews, but also his own kindness, empathy, and wisdom that shine through in each episode. Listening to an episode on my way to the salon gets me ready for work and reminds me that I am not alone in my journey as a hairstylist.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the variety of guests that Miller brings on. From renowned hairstylists like Garren and Daniel Mason-Jones to industry insiders and influencers, each episode offers unique insights into the hair industry. The conversations are not only informative but also inspiring, giving listeners a sense of comfort and motivation to strive for their maximum potential. The two series with Garren and Daniel Mason-Jones especially stand out as exceptional episodes that deserve recognition.

One of the most emotionally charged aspects of hairdressing is pricing. Look at almost any hair transformation video on @hairbrained_official, and there's usually a "How much would you charge for this?" question. Fear of losing clients, vague "charge your worth" advice and lack of pricing transparency all play a role. On top of that, hairdressers often emotionally discount, may not have consistent pricing or flat out don't know how to price their services. In this episode, Miki Wright (@mikiwright), pricing strategist and founder of www.beautysuperstars.com, joins us to dispel the confusion around pricing. She shares the best steps to set up a pricing strategy, explains why old-school ways are no longer relevant, and the importance of why creating experiences for your clients plays a huge role in pricing.
