The Max Blumenthal podcast is an eye-opening and thought-provoking show that delves into important issues often overlooked by mainstream media. Max Blumenthal, along with his crew of investigative reporters, brings a refreshing and honest perspective to topics such as war, global politics, and social justice. As someone who has read some of Max's books and followed his work closely, I can say without a doubt that he is a true hero for exposing the lies perpetuated by both right-wing and left-wing propaganda.

One of the best aspects of The Max Blumenthal podcast is its ability to cut through the noise and present the truth. Max and his guests tackle issues that many Americans are oblivious to, like the Palestinian genocide, shedding light on the atrocities being funded by US tax dollars. The podcast also addresses the influence of AIPAC in American politics, highlighting how both Democrats and Republicans have been influenced by this powerful lobbying group. By discussing these topics openly and honestly, Max provides listeners with a deeper understanding of the world around them.

However, it's important to note that The Max Blumenthal podcast may not be for everyone. Some listeners may find the content challenging or uncomfortable, especially if they hold conservative or right-wing beliefs. The podcast presents a predominantly left-wing perspective, which can be polarizing for those with differing political views. Additionally, while Max provides well-researched insights into various issues, some listeners may perceive a bias in his reporting.

In conclusion, The Max Blumenthal podcast is an invaluable source of information for those seeking an alternative perspective on global events. It fills a void left by mainstream media outlets that often ignore or downplay important stories. Despite its potential biases, this podcast serves as a reminder to think critically about the information presented to us and seek out diverse viewpoints. With its dedication to exposing corruption and advocating for justice, The Max Blumenthal podcast stands as one of the few sources of true investigative journalism in today's media landscape.

The new President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, aka Mohammed al-Jolani, is in New York for what is widely being described as the first visit by a sitting Syrian president to the US in nearly six decades. But even more significant is another fact: it's also the first state visit to the US by a leading veteran of Al Qaeda and ISIS.Just last year, al-Sharra/al-Jolani – the founding leader of Al Qaeda in Syria and a former deputy leader of ISIS -- was on the US terrorism list with a $10 million reward for his arrest. But after leading the overthrow of Syrian president Basher al-Assad, the US has removed that designation and welcomed Jolani's ruling Al Qaeda offshoot government. After all, as Jake Sullivan put it at the outset of the dirty war in early, 2012, “Al Qaeda is on our side in Syria.”Because the US is on Al Qaeda's side in Syria, that also means overlooking atrocities under its founding leader's watch. Since al-Sharaa/al-Jolani took power, government forces have committed sectarian violence against Syria's minority groups. In March, hundreds – possibly thousands – of Alawite civilians were massacred in Syria's coastal regions. In July, hundreds more, mostly Druze civilians, were killed in Syria's Suweida region. The Grayzone's Aaron Maté speaks to members of two Syrian minority communities about the ongoing sectarian violence at the hands of a ruling Al Qaeda offshoot that the US and allies helped put in power.Guests:Dr. Morhaf Ibrahim, head of the Alawite Association of the United States.Hibbah Jarmakani, a Druze Syrian-American originally from Suweida province in Syria.

He confronts the enduring silence of both the liberal Zionist establishment and the Arab world, dissecting how propaganda, reputational attacks, and shifting political movements in the United States work to shield Israel from accountability. In a conversation that asks hard questions about identity, solidarity, and the future of democracy, Blumenthal not only discusses the impossibility of the two-state solution but also examines how the very definition of Jewish statehood is intrinsically tied to dispossession. The episode challenges audiences to reckon with uncomfortable truths and to question the narratives that define mainstream discussion of Israel–Palestine, American foreign policy, and the limits of dissent.

He traces the origins of Russiagate to the Clinton campaign's funding of the Steele dossier and CrowdStrike's unverified claims of Russian hacking, which were amplified by media and political figures to deflect blame for Trump's 2016 victory. Maté highlights how the scandal distracted from substantive opposition to Trump's policies and created a perverse incentive for Trump to adopt hawkish stances toward Russia to disprove allegations of collusion. This, in turn, escalated tensions with Russia, undermined peace efforts in Ukraine, and prolonged the conflict there. Maté critiques the elite "protection racket" that scapegoated Russia instead of addressing domestic failures, polarizing discourse and fostering contempt for ordinary voters. Ultimately, he frames Russiagate as a disinformation campaign with far-reaching, destructive consequences for U.S. politics and global stability.

Caution: This report contains depictions of simulated violence that may upset some viewers. Max Blumenthal tours one of the most disturbing museums on the planet. Set in Tehran's former Ebrat Prison run by the anti-sabotage unit of Shah Reza Pahlavi's Savak intelligence services, the museum is filled with shockingly graphic exhibits featuring lifelike mannequins recreating the hideous torture tactics deployed to repress dissidents rebelling against Iran's monarchy. Many mannequins on display represent notorious torturers who either fled or were executed after the Islamic revolution in 1979, while others are modeled after famous prisoners locked away in Ebrat like the current Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamanei.Watch on Substack
