Two friends having casual conversation about the things of eternity. We invite you into that conversation.
The Restored Gospel Podcast has been an incredible source of inspiration and fellowship for me, especially during a time when I am living far away from my church family. As I am returning to my faith after many years, these conversations have been a true blessing. The podcast provides a unique perspective on theology, coming from a different angle than mine, which I find both informative and enriching.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its conversational approach. The hosts engage in intimate discussions that make you feel like you are sitting in on two friends talking together. This style creates a sense of connection and relatability, making it easy to keep coming back and re-listening to episodes. It's amazing how each time I revisit an episode, I discover new gems that resonate with me on a deeper level. The podcast also excels at discussing the gospel in a real-world context, addressing practical issues where "the rubber meets the road." This approach adds authenticity and relevance to the discussions, making them relatable to everyday life.
While there are many positive aspects to this podcast, one potential drawback could be that its theology may differ from some listeners' own interpretations or beliefs. However, I believe that this diversity of perspectives can actually be beneficial as it allows for open-mindedness and encourages growth in understanding. Even though their theology may not align perfectly with mine, I appreciate the opportunity to broaden my horizons and gain insights from different viewpoints.
In conclusion, I highly recommend The Restored Gospel Podcast for anyone seeking theological discussions grounded in the restored gospel. This podcast offers excellent food for thought and provides valuable insights into various aspects of faith and spirituality. The time invested by the hosts into creating this ministry shines through every episode, making it a valuable resource for those looking to deepen their relationship with God and engage in meaningful conversations about the gospel.

Send us a textVIDEO PODCAST HEREPOWER POINT NOTESIn this episode we talk about the difference of Christ's attitude in the Book of Mormon vs. the Doctrine & Covenants and even the Bible in relation to going to the cross. What caused Him to sweat drops of blood in the Garden? Was it fear of pain and the tribulation he was heading towards, asking if he could get out of it? Or was it something else? We look at a preponderance of evidence showing that Jesus was the very eternal God and planned from the beginning to die for us. Many of the prophets testify of this in the Book of Mormon. Send us a textVIDEO PODCAST HEREPOWERPOINT HEREWe discuss a couple important discrepancies in RLDS/LDS/Restoration doctrine. We ask the question "what is our foundation"? Many different beliefs occur among current and ex LDS, RLDS, Community of Christ, and all factions of the "Restoration", but why? It comes down to foundations. What do we go to as the standard when beliefs diverge? Freemasonry, the Book of Enoch, the Inspired version or (Joseph Smith's new translation), the Doctrine and Covenants, the Book of Mormon, the Bible? How much does truth matter and what is the source of that truth? The Book of Mormon states we will be judged according to it's words and the knowledge it plainly restored about Christ's simple doctrine and gospel. How much do we value this great gift given to us in these last days? Are we willing to embrace its teaching at the expense of giving up our past traditions and beliefs when they conflict? In other countries different congregations won't fellowship with each other due to differences in who has true priesthood authority. Send us a textVIDEO PODCAST HEREWe begin a series on Baptism as taught in the Book of Mormon. There are many questions today among those who have left the established "churches" that have sprung forth since 1830. Many already having different doctrines and teachings. Man added to the simple doctrine of Christ just as He warned us not to. We want to see what the Book of Mormon teaches. Who has authority to baptize? When should we be baptized? Is there anyone today that has "authority" to do so? What does authority mean? When Jesus came to America He established His doctrine. It is interesting that he told the more righteous that were preserved during the destruction and three days of darkness to stop contending over his doctrine. This means that it wasn't just the ones that were "right" that were preserved. They were however the ones that showed charity towards those that were destroyed. This is a clue we believe into the hearts of men and what is required. Jesus discussed baptism and how it should be done to do away with their contentions. He also shared His doctrine and told all to not add to it. Unfortunately men have not listened. The handwritten account by Joseph Smith himself was cut out and removed from his journal book, hidden in a safe for years, kept from the people. But why? Perhaps because it changes the very nature of "Who is Jesus" to agree with the Book of Mormon and not our own church traditions regarding the nature of God. This also effects our traditions of teaching on the afterlife and different glories in heaven. What was the purpose? Was this referencing the book of Enoch? Were the spirits to leave prison? There is a much different plan of salvation taught in revelations that came after the Book of Mormon. It involves charts and graphs and different levels of glories as well as places people are housed until they can be resurrected. Teaching alludes to the ability to possibly repent on the other side of the vail and receive some kind of glory, maybe being with the Father, of maybe "just" the Son or the Holy Spirit. What kind of baggage has been added to this word over the last 200 years and can we step out of our culture and look at this idea that permeates our church? People refuse to speak with other people based on the curch sign on their door ,which goes back to authority. Serving as bishop for a number of years he pastored his local ward. Hear testimonies of healings, a mysterious Book of Mormon that appeared at just the right time, the faith and miracles of his grandmother, his deep love for the people he served, and his undeniable testimony from the Book of Mormon . His leaving the traditions of the LDS for the gospel in the Book of Mormon is a very recent thing and as we see, the Holy Spirit has led him to many of the same conclusions others have been finding by returning to the Word. Have we in the restoration fallen into the pattern repeated through time where we take God's truth and Word and begin adding man's works and additions? Have we in a sense created our own restoration "laws of Moses"? Have we added doctrines and teachings of men that we hold onto with a tightened fist, enslaving ourselves again? Have we taken the old ways that were made new by Christ and transgressed his simple doctrine by adding to it making it essentially ineffective? Have we done what the pharisees did and become worshippers of our own teachings and culture to prove our own righteousness?
