Originally from Germany, Sabrina is a well-travelled rider who lives and breathes Royal Enfields. During a sojourn in Mumbai, where Sabrina rode a Royal Enfield for the first time, she met a South African Enfield rider. An idea quickly sprouted to build a motorcycle rental and touring company based in Cape Town, South Africa. They named that business RETZA (Royal Enfield Tours South Africa). Since then, she has led many tours around South Africa and in the Himalayas. Sabrina believes the Classic, with its unmistakable old-school charm, is a sure-fire conversation starter and has helped her make some great friends on the road. In his twenty years of riding, he's had five different motorcycles and always found them feeling like machines till he laid his hands on the Classic and discovered that this motorcycle had a 'personality. The form and silhouette of the motorcycle had enchanted her for a long time and she gave in to that temptation eventually. This was the first Royal Enfield he ever saw and was so smitten by it the first time he saw it in pictures, that he ended up picking it up without even a attest ride or even seeing the motorcycle in chrome and metal. The first time he rode out on the motorcycle he had the widest grin ever and this motorcycle has been his love and pride for 11 years now. One of his most memorable rides has been one where he rode down from Canada to Milwaukee for the opening of the Royal Enfield North America Headquarters 750 odd kilometres from his home. Jeremy Pendergast - Iowa-based Jeremy manages Baxter Cycles which is credited with having restored numerous Redditch make Royal Enfield motorcycles. Having got the bug of motorcycle riding from his father he actually bought a Chennai-made Royal Enfield Bullet as his first motorcycle. Some of his prized possessions however are some of the best maintained and running Royal Enfield twins including some rare Vax Interceptors and also a few Enfield engined Indians. He also has a few Classic 500's with him which he regularly uses for riding around and loves the way it gives him the feel of a big British single and its graceful form and casquette that never goes of style. Seeing the pictures of the Royal Enfield motorcycles riding through the snow walls of Baralacha Pass and the beautiful Himalayan landscape - she was sold on the trip to India, as this was right up her alley being such an adventurist soul. She invested in a Royal Enfield Classic as preparation for the trip to the Himalayas, and eventually fell in love with her Royal Enfield Classic and to this day still enjoys riding and around the countryside on her motorcycle! Tania lives for adventure and freedom, and (in her own words) for her “time becomes timeless” when she's riding her Royal Enfield Classic. A very cool mom to her two lovely kids, she enjoys riding with them and her husband. Herman Martinus - He can be generally spotted zipping around Cape Town, or winding down the coast on his Royal Enfield Classic 500. He decided to buy his Classic after spending some time riding one in the Himalayas all over Nepal. Being surrounded by Royal Enfield motorcycles all around during that adventure certainly added to the nudge. After returning back to South Africa he managed to land himself a Desert Storm and has been loving the overall feel and the thump of the machine. He has been working on planning a long adventure road trip through Africa on his Classic. Elias Basson: Hailing from Stellenbosch, one of the old heritage towns in South Africa, known for its natural beauty and oak-lined avenues, Cape Dutch architecture, history and culture and wine routes, Elias instantly connected with the timeless charm that the Classic stood for and matched well with his city. As an engineer, he was awed by the simplistic design and the proven mechanicals of the motorcycle and that prompted him to fall in love with it.
