Santosh Kaveti, founder and CEO of ProArch, discusses the critical steps organizations must take to operationalize AI effectively. His company specializes in helping clients across various sectors, including power, manufacturing, and healthcare, bridge the gap between IT and operational technology systems. Kaveti emphasizes the importance of data readiness as a prerequisite for AI readiness, arguing that without proper data governance, organizations cannot successfully implement AI solutions. He outlines a structured approach to AI adoption, starting with individual user empowerment and progressing through workflows and custom AI applications.Data governance is a central theme in Kaveti's discussion, where he clarifies that it does not necessarily require perfectly structured data but rather a solid understanding of data risks and access controls. He notes that many organizations, particularly small and mid-sized businesses, are often unprepared for the data governance necessary to support AI initiatives. Kaveti suggests that organizations can achieve significant improvements by implementing basic data classification and access controls, which can lead to a more effective AI journey.Kaveti also highlights the differences in AI adoption across industries, noting that compliance drives many organizations in healthcare, while critical infrastructure sectors often mistakenly believe that their locked-down environments ensure security. He points out that a lack of understanding of data risks can lead to vulnerabilities, regardless of the perceived security measures in place. This misconception is prevalent among SMBs, which often overlook the importance of data hygiene and governance. Finally, Kaveti shares real-world examples of how ProArch has successfully implemented AI solutions for clients, illustrating the tangible benefits of AI in improving operational efficiency. He emphasizes that AI should not be confused with mere automation, as true AI applications can enhance productivity and decision-making. By focusing on the integration of AI tools and ensuring they work cohesively, organizations can unlock the full potential of AI to drive business transformation. Sign up for our weekly newsletter here! In this episode of the Fueling Creativity in Education podcast, hosts Matthew Worwood and Cyndi Burnett are joined by Santosh Zachariah, an educator with a rich background in STEM fields and a passion for fostering creativity in his students. Santosh shares insights from his journey from civil engineering and software development to teaching and educational technology coordination. He underscores the importance of intrinsic motivation and the power of removing grades to cultivate meaningful learning experiences. The conversation delves into the challenges and strategies of creating grade-free environments, emphasizing student reflection and metacognition as tools to fuel curiosity and creativity. Santosh offers practical examples from his experience at the Evergreen School, where intrinsic motivation is prioritized to help students explore their interests and develop skills rather than simply achieving grades. The episode explores broader themes around how educators can nurture creativity by promoting metacognitive strategies and fostering engagement through meaning-driven tasks. Santosh reflects on the challenges of assessing process over product and the importance of scaffolding learning to support creativity in any content area. The discussion touches on examples of real-world creativity, such as the innovative responses of teachers during the pandemic and the impact of a professional development experience at Western Kentucky University that emphasized creativity in teaching. Santosh's insights highlight the ongoing need for educators to adapt their approaches to inspire meaningful learning and creativity in the classroom. Listeners are encouraged to reflect on how these strategies might be applied in their own educational settings to enrich teaching and learning experiences. About Santosh Zachariah: Santosh Zachariah has happily found himself in late elementary and middle school STEM classrooms at The Evergreen School for the past 15 years, having first meandered from Civil Engineering to clincal Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to Biomechanics research to software engineering. At The Evergreen School, he is involved in their Strategic Growth Initiative whose goal is "To educate students to develop the competence of Creativity."  Eager to bring more creativity into your school district? Long before they can speak, babies are brilliant communicators and all that those who care for them have to do is to listen to them, to be curious about them and to be ready to discover who they are, and everything else will fall into place. That's what child psychotherapist and mother of four Marie Derome has written about in her book for new parents - What Your Baby Wants You To Know. She joins Nuala McGovern.Kirsty Coventry has been elected as the first female and African president of the International Olympic Committee. She beat six male candidates including Britain's Sebastian Coe. The 41-year-old former swimmer will replace Thomas Bach on the 23 June and will be the youngest president in the organisation's 130-year history. The BBC's Sport Editor Dan Roan tells us more. We're hearing more misogynistic lyrics in music, and some of it is from female artists themselves. Is this a good way to reclaim the language or is it women being derogatory about themselves? India McTaggart, entertainment correspondent at The Telegraph, discusses.Santosh, which was the UK's official entry into the Oscar's International Feature Film category for 2025, is set to be released in UK cinemas on 21 March. The Hindi language film follows the title character who, through a government scheme, takes on her deceased husband's role as a police officer in North India and is quickly embroiled in the murder investigation of a young girl. The film was written and directed by documentarian Sandhya Suri in her narrative feature film debut and she received a Bafta nomination for her efforts. Sandhya is in the Woman's Hour studio to discuss the film.Work has started on a home extension and renovation that is being built and designed entirely by women. In an industry facing huge labour shortages, women remain a minority in construction, only making up 15% of the industry, and only 1% of those in manual, skilled roles. We hear from the project's lead, Kat Parsons and builder, Yas Poole.Presenter: Nuala McGovern Producer: Kirsty Starkey Editor: Karen Dalziel

Welcome to cutting-edge approach to Breast Reconstruction: "The Nerve Sparing DIEP flap"A "Nerve sparing DIEP flap" refers to a surgical technique used in breast reconstruction where the surgeon carefully dissects and preserves the nerves that supply the rectus abdominis muscle when harvesting tissue from the lower abdomen using the deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap, minimizing potential complications like abdominal weakness or bulging at the donor site by avoiding damage to these motor nerves; essentially, it prioritizes preserving the function of the abdominal muscles while taking the necessary tissue for breast reconstruction. Key points about nerve sparing DIEP flap:•Muscle preservation: Unlike older techniques like the TRAM flap, a DIEP flap aims to completely spare the rectus abdominis muscle, only taking the skin, fat, and blood vessels supplied by the perforating vessels from the deep inferior epigastric artery. •Nerve identification: During surgery, the surgeon carefully identifies and dissects around the nerves that innervate the rectus muscle to minimize their damage. •Benefits: By preserving the nerves, a nerve-sparing DIEP flap can help maintain abdominal wall strength, reduce the risk of hernias, and improve post-operative function and body contour. Connect with Midwest Breast on Instagram: Instagram: Instagram: @MWBreastStay Connected with Dr. Deepa Halaharvi:TikTok: @breastdoctorInstagram: @drdhalaharviTBCP Instagram: @thebreastcancerpodcastWebsite: https://drdeepahalaharvi.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@deepahalaharvi5917Instagram: @thebreastcancerpodcast
