In this episode of Partnerships Unraveled, we sit down with Remco van Dijk, Channel Leader for Northern Europe at Varonis. Remco joined Varonis to build the Northern European channel from the ground up.Remco opens with what the scale-up feeling inside a 20-year-old company actually looks like in practice. With no dedicated sales teams across Scandinavia and Finland when he arrived, the first task was building focus: fewer partners, deeper relationships, more business per partner. He explains how the right partner model depends on the product as much as the market. Varonis's data security platform suits a high-touch, co-sell approach. Interceptor, their email security solution, could support a distributor-led model with a far broader reseller base. His advice for any new channel leader: resist the urge to apply a familiar playbook. Start by listening, ask what partners need, and never be the “department of no” when a partner asks for something new.Cultural nuance shapes how that plays out across Northern Europe. In Sweden, partners often act as trusted advisors. If they haven't heard of Varonis, deals could stall before they start. The Netherlands runs more transactionally; Belgium leans on relationship and trust first. Remco's approach across all of them: think like a sales manager, treat your partners as your ears and eyes, and stay genuinely top of mind through consistent contact. Partners who work through a complete sales cycle together build something repeatable, and that depth is what separates a real channel program from a collection of one-off transactions. What holds it all together is simple: partnerships are human relationships first. The organizations that win in the channel show up consistently, navigate friction without panic, and invest genuinely in the people behind their partnerships._________________________Learn more about Channext
Warren Buffett once said it's only when the tide goes out that you discover who's been swimming naked. This week, the tide went out on several fronts simultaneously, and what it revealed was uncomfortable, instructive, and in some cases, long overdue.France opened the week with a breach that should trouble every government running centralised identity infrastructure. Up to 19 million records tied to passports, ID cards, and driver's licenses are now circulating on criminal forums. What makes this worse than a typical data leak is the context: a similar dataset from the same agency surfaced in 2025. This wasn't a surprise attack on a hardened target. It was a recurring failure wearing the face of a solved problem. The Bitwarden supply chain story carried a similar energy. No vaults were cracked, no passwords were stolen, and most users never noticed a thing. But a malicious package briefly moved through npm as part of the Checkmarx campaign, targeting the developers who build the software everyone else depends on. The lesson isn't technical — it's structural. Your security posture now extends to every build pipeline, every dependency, and every automation script upstream of your product. Then came FAST16.SYS, and the week shifted into something darker. This rootkit, which appears to predate Stuxnet, didn't steal data or trigger alarms. It quietly altered precision calculations in memory while leaving every file on disk untouched. Systems looked healthy. Outputs looked reasonable. The only thing wrong was the answer. It is the most patient form of sabotage imaginable, and it reframes what advanced threats are actually capable of when detection, not damage, is the real objective.AI brought its own escalation this week. Researchers are now using AI systems to attack other AI systems at machine speed — probing, learning, and refining exploits far faster than any human team. At the same time, agent browsers like Interceptor are quietly repositioning the browser itself as an autonomous actor, raising legitimate questions about oversight when software is doing the clicking, typing, and deciding on your behalf.Anthropic's Mythos model access story tied several threads together neatly. Contractor credentials, open-source reconnaissance, and data exposed in a third-party breach combined to give a small group access to a restricted model. The intent was curiosity, not sabotage — but the mechanism was a textbook illustration of how third-party access chains create exposure that principal organisations rarely see coming.Apple closed out the privacy section with a rare win, patching a logging bug that had been silently retaining Signal message fragments for up to a month — long after deletion, long after the app was removed. The FBI had already used it in court. The patch is clean and the fix is automatic, but the episode is a pointed reminder that ephemeral and permanent are closer together than most people assume. The week closed on strategy. OpenAI and Microsoft have restructured their foundational partnership, removing exclusivity and capping revenue payments. The AI infrastructure layer is becoming contested ground, and this deal confirms that no single partnership, however dominant it once appeared, is permanent. This week's stories didn't shout. They accumulated. And that, more than anything, is the point.

So we know the US is a prison state but did you know that most of the people in jail are legally innocent? PLUS what does prison abolition really mean?? Meanwhile, Israel is running very low on interceptor missiles at the same time that it's actively trying to sabotage a ceasefire deal with Iran and the US. Back in the US, it's not enough for ICE to have concentration camps, they've got SECRET concentration camps. Day 1,488.Today, after another weekend of so-called peace talks over Russia's war in Ukraine, we search for signs of a diplomatic breakthrough (spoiler: there isn't one). We report on a fresh wave of long-range Ukrainian strikes deep inside Russia that forced at least 15 Russian airports to suspend flight operations and also examine the so-called “Gamechanger” plot – allegations of a plan to stage a fake assassination attempt on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to boost his chances in next month's election. Later, we catch-up with Michael Bohnert at the RAND Corporation, and ask whether Ukraine's Flamingo cruise missiles and interceptor drones are now setting the pace for aerial warfare and military innovation.Contributors:Francis Dearnley (Host on Ukraine: The Latest). @FrancisDearnley on X.Dominic Nicholls (Host on Ukraine: The Latest). @DomNicholls on X.With thanks to Michael Bohnert of RAND.NOW IN FULL VIDEO WITH MAPS & BATTLEFIELD FOOTAGE:Every episode is now available on our YouTube channel shortly after the release of the audio version. This Drive Thru News episode tears through a disappointing slate of Super Bowl car commercials before shifting into a broader roundup of automotive chaos - from Stellantis' $26B EV implosion and Tesla axing the Model S and X, to StopTech and Raybestos abruptly shutting down and Honda's new Prelude landing with a thud. The hosts riff on design misfires, EV fatigue, and shifting EPA rules while weaving in motorsports talk, including the dull Rolex 24, Bathurst's massive crash, and WRC scouting U.S. rally sites. They wrap with GTM project updates, track‑season safety reminders, and a grab‑bag of Florida‑man absurdity and parking‑lot disasters, all delivered with their usual humor and gearhead banter. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00:00 Drive-Through News #65 Kickoff 00:01:27 Olympics Banter: Speed Skating, Biathlon & Curling Controversy 00:02:47 Super Bowl Ads: Were There Any Car Commercials? 00:11:57 Best Super Bowl Car Ads of the Last 20 Years (Top 5 Countdown) 00:14:36 Stellantis' $26B EV Struggle: Charger EV, 4xe Hybrids & What Went Wrong 00:18:01 EPA Rule Swings: Stop-Start, Emissions, and the Return of Big Engines? 00:20:04 Aftermarket Shock: StopTech Stops Making Brakes (and what's next) 00:22:35 Cars on the Chopping Block: Honda Prelude Hate & Tesla S/X Discontinued 00:24:50 The Grand Tour ‘Returns': Throttle House Rumors & Why You Can't Replace the Trio 00:30:19 Legends Lost: Ed Iskenderian Tribute & Robert Duvall Remembered 00:32:35 Porsche ‘Not Dead Yet': EV Cayman/Boxster and the Toyota MR2 Clickbait 00:38:11 Thank God It's Dead: Audi's ‘Pickup Truck' Concept 00:40:50 Audi's ‘Concept C' Design Language: The Ugly EV That Won't Die 00:42:05 BMW's Electric M3 Rumors + The Infamous ‘Special Screw' Repair Nightmare 00:44:47 Season Wrap & Pop Culture Detour! 00:51:04 Ferrari's First EV ‘Luce': Toy-Like Interior, Not-Quite-Ferrari Looks 00:54:52 Are You Faster Than an Interceptor? 01:01:49 Behind the Pit Wall: IndyCar in DC, Daytona 500, and a Boring Rolex 24 01:05:54 Sim Racing Update (Assetto Corsa Evo 0.5) 01:12:00 Bathurst Crash, WRC America Rumors, and the GTM Trackside Lemons Project Update 01:14:52 Safety Gear PSA & Season Finale Thanks, Patreon, and Sponsor Shoutouts ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: Visit Our Website Become a VIP at: Patreon Online Magazine: Gran Touring Follow us on Social: Instagram
My chat with Jeffery H. Haskell was an incredible experience! He's not only driven but also incredibly relatable. As a gifted author, he has achieved remarkable success in his career. Interviewing him was a true privilege! Jeffery is a USA Today bestselling author, a Dragon nominee, and an award-winning journalist who lives and breathes the art of storytelling. Writing has been his passion since childhood—he can't recall a time when he wasn't spinning tales. Now a full-time author, he follows his calling with the support of his wonderful family. The only thing he enjoys as much as writing and sharing his insights on the craft is helping fellow authors thrive. He's committed to writing for life, and who knows? He might just keep going even longer! I can't forget to mention that he is also a podcast host. Dive into Jeffrey's thrilling universe of "Against All Odds: Grimm's War Book One." Meet idealistic Navy Lieutenant Jacob Grimm, who aspires to honor his mother's legacy from the last great war. But when he's compelled to open fire and obliterate a fleet of ships in order to protect his own crew, he believes he's acting like a hero—until he learns that those ships were filled with children. Now disgraced and stripped of his chances for advancement, Jacob's career seems to have reached its end. That is, until the head of ONI calls on him for an unconventional mission. He'll be taking command of the battered destroyer, Interceptor, stationed on the fringe of a chaotic system in turmoil. The kicker? This ship hasn't had a commanding officer in months, and it's in disarray. To make matters worse, Jacob finds himself mired in a corrupt region teetering on the brink of civil war against the Alliance. Get ready for a gripping adventure that tests the limits of loyalty and moral choice! Nobody ever mentioned to Jacob that he was expendable. With pirates, smugglers, and spies from the Caliphate throwing a wrench into the mix, one captain and his aging ship are ill-equipped to uphold the law, much less bring anyone to justice. A groundbreaking revelation is on the verge of reshaping intergalactic politics forever. If Jacob can't find a way to triumph, it won't just spell doom for the Alliance—it could mean the loss of freedom for all of humanity. This thrilling military science fiction saga from USA Today bestselling author Jeffery H. Haskell, reminiscent of Honor Harrington and Star Trek. If you're a fan of brave heroes and starships, join Commander Jacob T. Grimm as he faces impossible odds. Welcome aboard the Navy! You can find the book atAgainst All Odds | Book by Jeffery H. Eugene Stowe explores why specific prayers often go unanswered and refutes "prosperity" theology. He argues that effective prayer must align with God's sovereign will, which humans cannot fully grasp. By linking Philippians, 1 John, and Romans, Stowe posits that the Holy Spirit acts as both an "Intercessor" and "Interceptor." When believers offer "improper" prayers outside God's plan, the Spirit intercepts and corrects them, substituting human desires with divine necessities. This process ensures God always supplies a believer's true needs, allowing them to trust the outcome even when it differs from their original request. VVrkshop founder Paddy Johnson and artist William Powhida dive into their impressions of the 2025 Armory Art Fair in New York. In this episode, we explore how Frieze's new ownership has changed the fair's feel, from stricter security to the notable absence of mega galleries like Hauser & Wirth and Gagosian. We break down the numbers - more than half of 2024's exhibitors didn't return, LA galleries dropped by 26%, and smaller works dominated booths as galleries adapted to market realities. The conversation covers standout pieces that caught our attention, from Nick Farhi's provocative glory hole installation at Europa to Nikita Gale's politically charged "Interceptor" barricade at 56 Henry. We also dig into emerging art trends, including the rise of "art history textbook painting" where artists render historical styles in abstract brushstrokes, and discuss the troubling vacuum in art criticism. The episode touches on the political climate's impact on art-making and whether we're seeing the end of an era for large-scale art fair presentations. Would you like to better understand how a film set works and how actors collaborate with the Second Assistant Director? The 2nd AD is the main point of contact for all actors on set. During pre-production, they break down the script, organise fittings and rehearsals, and arrange transport and facility requirements for cast members. Once filming begins, they prepare the next day's call sheet, ensure actors are ready when needed, and coordinate transport, make-up, and wardrobe schedules. Working closely with the 1st AD, they help keep everything running smoothly. Join Second Assistant Director Nick Hadland and Equity member Monica Main as he shares insights into his role, how he works with actors, and what you need to know about on-set protocols—so you can feel confident and prepared when you step on set. Credits: Nick has worked on a diverse range of film and television productions in the Assistant Director's department including: Heartbreak High, Last King of the Cross, Mr Inbetween, Interceptor, Total Control, Ruby's Choice and more recently Stan's Sunny Nights and the film SOS: Send Help.
We fire up the Interceptor and go full throttle into George Miller's apocalyptic fever dream with Mad Max — the gritty, low-budget Aussie flick that started it all. This week, we ride shotgun with Nick, Elise, Anthony, and Manny as they barrel down Anarchy Road in a whirlwind of chaotic impressions, leather daddies, and saxophone seduction. It's the birth of a cinematic legend, but that doesn't stop us from marveling at the bizarre world-building choices, thirsting over plant-filled apartments, or spiraling into heated debates about fan belts, face loss, and what exactly that biker gang was doing with a mannequin. One minute we're discussing guerrilla filmmaking, the next we're debating if Mel Gibson was too hot to be taken seriously as a man on the edge. We also pay tribute to Goose — the MVP of the movie and the true spiritual ancestor of every doomed best friend in action cinema. His wipeouts are legendary, his charm unmatched, and his demise the moment Max finally puts the “mad” in his name. Come for the guzzaline-fueled car chases, stay for the wildly unhinged takes and all-too-accurate observations about spiders, cops, and the universal appeal of nipple clamps. This one's not just rewatchable — it's damn near road-worthy. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082694/
The episode kicks off with a candid discussion about the rising costs and complications of high-performance driver's education (HPDE) events, the rising expenses in amateur club racing, and share personal experiences at tracks and car events. The team dives into automotive industry news, talking about new electric models like the ID.3 GTX and ID.2 GTI, Alfa Romeo's new Stelvio, and various new concepts from other manufacturers. The episode also features a segment called "Are You Faster Than an Interceptor?" discussing recent policing strategies and crazy incidents involving police interceptors. The hosts share their thoughts on recent Formula 1 races, lamenting Ferrari's struggles and discussing Lewis Hamilton's battles. The episode wraps up with a section on rich people's collectibles, upcoming motorsport events, and lighthearted banter about bizarre news stories, such as a woman leaving a surprise on another person's car during a road rage incident. This month, our host, Dan van der Kooy, records the 50th episode of Catching Up in Kingston, Jamaica, sitting on a fishing boat with Jerome "Cliff" Clifford and Colin "Dean" Palmer. Cliff and Dean are two local fishermen from Seaview Gardens, a neighborhood along Sandy Gully in Kingston, Jamaica. Their neighborhood is directly affected by the trash pouring out of the gully each day. Cliff and Dean share stories of what it was like prior to the pollution and discuss the importance of cleaning it up. They share their pride in being part of a major project like the new Interceptor solution and their desire to leave a better future for the local community, fishermen, and future generations. We also hear about the community's involvement in The Ocean Cleanup's deployments in the area. Their goal is to preserve the environment, ensuring that future generations have somewhere to go fishing, something to eat, and a strong community. Right now, they're making history to make sure there's a future. Kingston, Jamaica, is our first Interceptor city. Learn more about it here: https://theoceancleanup.com/updates/kingston-jamaica-the-first-interceptor-city/ Thank you to all our listeners! This month, we sit down with Tarkessh Mahendran, our Waste Manager in Malaysia, to discuss the vibe in our Kuala Lumpur regional office and the importance of having a team on the ground, physically located in Southeast Asia. Tarkessh speaks about cultural differences between working in Malaysia and Rotterdam, such as the subtler communication styles in Asia compared to more direct approaches in Europe. He also gives an update on the new sorting center being built on the Klang River to improve plastic recycling, and what this will mean for the future of our Interceptor projects on the Klang.
You are Mad Max. You drive your Interceptor through the post-apocalyptic wastelands and fight bandits. The game introduction is the speech from the beginning of the movie Mad Max 2 (a.k.a The Road Warrior), telling you how the world ended and how The Road Warrior, lost everything by "the roar of an engine" and how he in the wastelands "learned to live again". The game is played in a top-down view where you move your car to attack enemy cars and pick up fuel tanks (if you run out of fuel the game is over). Are you curious about how to apply food-as-medicine to your furry friends? Want to know more about the optimal diet for dogs? Looking for information on reducing toxicity when it comes to flea, tick, and heartworm prevention? Tune in to hear us interview Laurie Johnson DVM, Integrative Veterinarian and cover all this and more! In this episode, we pick Dr. Laurie's brain about everything from assessing your pet's constitution to how to transition to a raw or real food diet. I use them most for GI vitamins and allergy screening. Much more affordable than a standard lab. DNA heartworm testing- I've sent to Canada in past- very tricky with customs. Apparently Auburn offers this test. Any vet can set up an account with Auburn's lab to be able to run the test. Ideal when pet parents choose not to use a preventative. Detects living heartworm DNA - positive much sooner than standard testing. Heartworm - Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Animalbiome.com is an excellent company. tons of high quality research on microbiome health in dogs and cats and specific research on gut health with raw fed animals. Pet parents can test their pet's biome. I tend to recommend this with all of my GI cases, chronic skin, immune health cases. Results vary a lot. Some pets have severe e-coli overloads and practically zero beneficial bacteria so they need fecal transplants and specific pre/probiotic and fiber sources. Inulin might be a better fiber source than psyllium in some cases. Some pets don't have pathogenic bacteria but they have no good flora so they will also need fecal transplants. Best to work with a vet when this is needed as most of my patients need more support when they are undergoing fecal transplant. I reach for S boullardi /FOS a lot. This is not found in standard small animal formulas. Their product line is amazing! Vax/Titers: puppy /kitten vaccine protocol with titer testing recommendations from Dr. Jean Dodd's foremost authority on endocrine disease and immunology in small animals. One of her projects is the rabies challenge fund. vaccine protocol | HemopetPuppies and kittens need their vaccine series per the protocol to protect them from deadly diseases. We think of these as core vaccinations. We start them earlier in Texas because of the much higher risk here. These vaccines are extremely effective. I usually run titers when the pet has already had one 3 year vaccine because they tend to be better protected and if they are protected, we can run the titers every 3 years when the vaccine would be due. Rabies is a legal requirement to prevent human exposure to this deadly disease. We have a lot of rabies in Texas! Every year, there is at least one pet dog and multiple kittens or adult cats who test positive for Rabies in Austin. They are tested because of human exposure and they are euthanized so their brain tissue can be tested :( All healthy pets should be vaccinated at least twice before titers are run. Titers can still be run but many clinics won't accept the titers. I am rabies vaccinated because I used to work with wildlife. We tested our titers regularly and when they were low, we got a booster. This is standard practice in the human field and may someday be the standard with small animals. Interceptor dose example: Sharing this with y'all so you can see the calculation for Interceptor (milbemycin oxime) **Please note- the chewable pill cannot be broken because the medication is not evenly distributed** Jax weighs 80 # We convert his weight to kg= 36.4kg 36.4 x 0.1mg/kg = 3.64 mg- this is the bare minimum dose to prevent heartworms. I don't like to have such a narrow margin in case the dog gains weight or there is resistance to the drug and because we can't break the tablet, so I tend to dose at 0.2mg/kg - 0.3 mg/kg (instead of 0.5mg/kg) So, his more appropriate dose is 7.3 mg- we round up to 8mg. The 50- 100# dose is 23mg. The 26-50 # dose is 11.5mg. It's the next size down. 11.5mg divided by 36.4 = 0.3 mg/kg dose so we're good!Note: The lower dose does not protect against hookworms according to the study, so you would need to be aware of this. Any dog with a history of hookworms needs the higher dose until 100% clear on antigen testing.

Welcome to the Living for the Max series. Over the past 45 years, there has been no other film franchise QUITE as inventive nor as consistently exciting as The Mad Max Saga….four films mostly chronicling the post-apocalyptic adventures of lone wolf Max Roxatansky played three times by Mel Gibson and most recently by Tom Hardy. As everyone has been directed by Australian cinematic genius George Miller, they have each reflected his unique vision while also being HUGELY influential on pop culture, more specifically the action genre. So needless to say, new ones don't come around very often and when they do….it MORE than qualifies as a cinematic EVENT. Therefore over the next several months, I will be revisiting EACH entry of this beloved franchise every month leading up to the U.S. release of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga on May 24! And now the SECOND film in this franchise which is considered by many to be the best overall.....well at least was considered to be the best until Mad Max Fury Road came out in 2015. But it's still damn impressive bringing us back to Max who is now a drifter with his own heavily souped up Interceptor wandering around the post-apocalyptic Australian Outback. His character is always on the search for gasoline....as are most others at this point in time which leads to some potential trouble. He finds a massive oil refinery occupied by well-meaning survivors who just want to live in peace. Of course there are more dangerous elements out there who want to take over this oil refinery and they are lead by the evil Lord Humungus played by Kjell Nilsson...and they're not taking any prisoners. :o So here comes Max to try to help them transport their oil to a safer place while avoiding this violent gang which means to overtake them....and what results is a rip-roaring series of action sequences mostly taking place on the open road! Also co-starring are Bruce Spence, Michael Preston, Emil Minty, and Vernon Wells.Host & Editor: Geoff GershonProducer: Marlene Gershon https://livingforthecinema.com/Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/Living-for-the-Cinema-Podcast-101167838847578Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/livingforthecinema/Letterboxd:https://letterboxd.com/Living4Cinema/

Let's kick things off with the original Australian-produced action thriller which was not only the on-screen debut for Mel Gibson but the first feature film to be directed by George Miller. And it's a relatively simple story focusing an ongoing war in headed-towards-dystopia-Australia between a brutal motorcycle gangs of marauders and leather-clad highway patrolmen who are still trying to keep the streets safe. This is where we meet one of those patrolmen....a simple family man Max played by Gibson......BEFORE he gets Mad. :o Host & Editor: Geoff GershonProducer: Marlene Gershon https://livingforthecinema.com/Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/Living-for-the-Cinema-Podcast-101167838847578Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/livingforthecinema/Letterboxd:https://letterboxd.com/Living4Cinema/

Why is it so difficult to name a car? Some vehicle names sound great, like Testarossa, Countach, Viper, Interceptor, Charger, Defender, Gladiator and Raptor. Other names aren't very exciting, and sound way too contrived. The guys battle hybrid choices for Theodōr in Iceland, and address first-world problems for Patrick in LA. Social media questions ask if Caterham has cracked the EV sports car problem with Project V, where's a great place to buy a racing helmet, and which car brand that builds five or more models could simply disappear forever?
