But hey, it's free, so can you really complain? At the end of the day, I don't think the impact of Chat GPT and similar AI on real estate is going to be too earth shattering.     Creating the Action Plans to Meet Goals

    In last week's episode, we we talked about setting big picture goals and chunking them down into smaller, manageable goals. But with every great idea (aka goal) - you need a great execution. And to execute - we simply need to know what you're going to do (actually going to do) to make them happen. To refresh you - last time we talked about setting an annual goal of $10m in production. And our example had an average sales price of $300,000 - so we need 33.3 sales to hit that goal, or 9 sales per quarter, or 3 sales per month. But knowing where those sales are going to come from is the real trick! In this episode we're going to talk through the process of creating the execution plan.     The Social Media Reminder I Needed

    This week I needed, and received, a little nudge from the universe. You see, I was feeling down about a lot of work stuff including the time and effort I apply to my social media channels. I was thinking - why do I even bother? Maybe I should just stop posting anything - what's the worst that can happen? Anyway, the nudge from the universe came the very next day. I'm sitting at my desk, looking at my parking lot for a podcast idea. (The parking lot is one of my hacks which you can hear about here.) And the very first idea that popped out at me was something I had written months ago. Months! Essentially, it was a reminder that while it doesn't SEEM like social media works - you should keep doing it. My note actually said, "This is not about you. Sorry. Stop worrying about if people like your posts. The thing about this is - you gotta have some faith." My past self must have known that my future self would really appreciate that reminder one day. So this episode is dedicated to why you should continue to have faith in your social media - even if it feels like it's not working. A lot of people would tell you to "fake it 'til you make it!" when it comes to confidence. Personally, I think it's more powerful to MAKE IT. Make your confidence. So my answer to the question "How can I appear confident when I don't feel confident?" is another question: "What would make you feel confident?"     In this episode we're talking about always improving! Evaluating your performance on the job and taking lessons from that to make future improvements. Recently, we had a crazy closing - it was so stressful and we thought it wasn't going to close at all. It did close, but after the fact I evaluated our performance - was there anything we could have done to make it less crazy? Sure, working with less difficult people is an option.
