Brent Axe and Chris Carlson react to the news that SU WR Trebor Pena is entering the transfer portal. The news Pena went into the portal is a big surprise even in the transfer portal/NIL era of college sports where it seems we are less and less shocked by players transactions.  Chris and Brent analyze the impact of Pena's departure, he was SU's leading WR with 84 catches, 941 yards and nine touchdowns last season. Brent Axe and Chris Carlson discuss the news that Adrian Autry will return for a third season as Syracuse basketball head coach on a live Thursday edition of Syracuse Sports.  While not a surprise that Autry is back for a third year, Brent and Chris discussed the immense pressure that will be on him to prove he's the guy for Syracuse basketball. Syracuse held a 16-point lead over Pitt but were out-scored 46-28 in the 2nd half with yet another defensive meltdown. Brent Axe recaps a wild 95-86 win for Syracuse basketball over Boston College in triple-overtime at the JMA Dome. It certainly wasn't the prettiest game in the world. In fact, one might call it the "best worst game ever," but Syracuse got the win in its first game to go to three overtimes since the famous 6OT game against UConn in the 2009 Big East Tournament.  JJ Starling led Syracuse with 28 points. Eddie Lampkin played 49 minutes, giving Syracuse a strong 14 points and 18 rebounds.  Brent discusses how the game won't be remembered with reverence, but was a reminder of the curveball sports likes to toss at us once in awhile. Wednesday's 29-point win by Duke over Syracuse, its 10th straight win over the Orange, shows the gap has never been wider between the two ACC programs. Brent Axe breaks down Syracuse basketball's 70-61 loss to Stanford. The Orange dug itself way too deep of a hole to escape in trailing Stanford 25-2 in the first-half. While SU did cut the lead down to six points late in the game, it couldn't do enough to overcome Stanford, who never trailed against Syracuse.  Axe broke down SU's poor starts and the other stat that keeps sinking games for SU, points off turnovers. Brent Axe recaps Syracuse basketball's 77-73 loss to Pittsburgh at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday afternoon. Brent Axe recaps Syracuse basketball's 86-72 loss to Clemson on Wednesday night. SU's first-half struggles continued at Clemson as the Tigers out-scored SU 28-10 in the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half.
