She told me you want to email or message those Tuna Boot boys. Well you can with the link below. While we're here, your mother thinks you don't phone enough. Having spent time with her, I understand why you would want to keep conversations to a minimum. She's quite a drab, bland and basically hopeless person. You must have ran out of things to say if you've brought up how you'd like to get in touch with a monthly random bollocks podcast. Wish you hadn't wasted that patter already? Don't worry. Just tell her again. Make shit up. She's far too dense to decipher the truth. Trust me.https://linktr.ee/tunaboot Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This is because there are explosions of sound and I didn't want anyone's eardrums to take a hammering. And, it is true, that in previous years I would have painstakingly went through the full edit and tweaked things with such precision that this warning would not be needed. However the thought of doing so now fills me with a dread I dare not name. I have lowered the parts where it goes berserk but it may not be as seamless as it should be. This is Jim typing right now and even after listening to it I'm not quite sure what I was on about. I also keep saying "you're hard" which is annoying. I generally feel like I'm being annoying in these episodes so just a warning. The latter half is generally quieter because things turn into a singing guessing game. We're taking a leaf out of the Three Bean Salad Podcast Format Book this week at Tuna Boot. The boys are primarily discussing exercise, but also any other tangents that should arise. This is part of our Night at the Proms serial. I don't think I've mentioned this Night at the Pods thing before, and I don't know how often we mentioned it in the episodes (if at all); but we've essentially nicked the format of other podcasts as an ode to our favourite shows. The name "Night at the Pods" is in reference to "Night at the Proms". For any of you who don't know what The Proms are: The BBC Proms or Proms, formally named the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts Presented by the BBC, is an eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts and other events held annually, predominantly in the Royal Albert Hall in central London. Prom is short for promenade concert, a term which originally referred to outdoor concerts in London's pleasure gardens, where the audience was free to stroll around while the orchestra was playing. In the context of the BBC Proms, promming refers to the use of the standing areas inside the hall (the Arena and Gallery) for which ticket prices are much lower than for the seating. Proms concert-goers, particularly those who stand, are sometimes referred to as "Prommers" or "Promenaders".The above was lifted straight from Wikipedia.Album Recommendation:Boygenius - the recordSong Recommendation:Boygenius - Leonard CohenQuestion of the week: Which Stallone character and which children's TV show would be the funniest crossover?Let us know here: https://linktr.ee/tunaboot Hosted on Acast. Tune in to hear them discuss Jane Fonda, Liberace, Amarillo and Pearl Harbour in this extended two day recording set at Christmas (It was recorded across two days but isn't two days long, if you get what I mean? A recording that was two days long would be ridiculous in concept. Furthermore, in practice that would most likely be one of the most gruelling experiences any one person could suffer. We're not even getting paid for this, and I sure as hell wouldn't be editing that colossal waste of time. Who would even listen to it? If I walked up to you in the street and asked you to listen to it for a hundred quid, right then and there, would you do it? No, you wouldn't, would you? And not because the average attention span has shrunk to barely hit ten seconds, but because I wouldn't have the time to sit there and wait on you finishing it. I'm a busy person and I have much more important things to do than watch you listen to a two day long podcast, in the street, for a hundred quid. Who do you think I am? Father Time? No, I am in fact the person who writes this drivel, devoid of shame. Dougal loosely plagiarised the format of Big Fat Quiz of the year for the boys this week. I am being very liberal with my use of the word "loosely". Unfortunately, Dougal was also very confused by the passage of time and the notion of years. We've now ended up with a quiz that has questions based on the year of 1992 instead of 2022. Liam and Jim also took it upon themselves to take this quiz very seriously, so get ready for an intense battle of wits.I'm also in my brackets phase now (I don't know if you've noticed). I've been inserting brackets into the titles of each of the last three episodes. Points are flying in this episode, and though they are essentially as worthless as the McDonald's Monopoly tickets with the codes on them, that doesn't stop the boys getting as excited as Jim is when a new Coca-Cola flavour drops. Trust me, you don't want to be around Jim when a new Coca-Cola flavour drops. I once saw him put a dead gecko in a chokehold for no other reason than a new Coca-Cola flavour had just been dropped. It was carnage. Actually it I think it could have been strawberry meringue. The dead gecko's family were contacted, and a statement issued on behalf of Tuna Boot. It was in the papers and everything. We're asking Danny random questions today. It turns out to be quite an odd interview technique but one which illuminates as much as it informs. He's a delight as always. What's his favourite whale fact? What number does he choose (out of all the numbers)? Does he know what a barnacle is? Does he think about metronomes once a month and if not why not?Editor's Note: Jim had a moment when he went off on one about quitting the podcast because he was annoyed that Danny was good on the show. This has been edited out for the sake of Jim's PR because it was more desperate and odd than it was funny. Traces of that still remain within the latter half of the episode so if he's pretending to be in a huff that's the reason. He's not actually sad and he's secure in the knowledge that he is, indeed, the best one out of Tuna Boot.
