Summary In this episode of Whistleblowers, Dave and Gary answer questions from listeners. They discuss how to deal with a 'bad egg' in the dressing room, the challenges of the close season for players and managers, and how to create a high-performance environment. Dave shares his best 11 and best squad of players he has worked with. They also discuss the use of medicine and tablets during games and the drug testing process for players. Finally, they give advice to aspiring football managers who haven't had a typical playing career. Takeaways Dealing with a 'bad egg' in the dressing room requires understanding the player's perspective and finding ways to address their frustrations or concerns. The close season can be a busy time for managers, with player contracts and transfers to handle, but it's also important to find time for rest and family. Creating a high-performance environment involves fostering a culture of continuous learning, passion, and a drive to improve. A high-performance environment can exist at any level of football, regardless of resources, if there is a shared goal and a commitment to excellence. Dave's best 11 and best squad include players like Robert Green, Thomas Helveg, Adam Drury, Peter Crouch, and Dion Dublin. Building a successful football team requires a combination of talent, strategy, and teamwork. Tablets given to players during games can provide pain relief or help with stomach issues, but their effects may vary. The drug testing process for players involves random selection and urine samples after the game. Aspiring football managers without a playing career can still succeed by putting in the hours, learning the craft, and finding opportunities in clubs or academies. Passion, dedication, and continuous learning are key to a career in football coaching or management.

On a mom-sponsored shopping trip to the mall, Buffy's errand to pick up clothes from the tailor is interrupted by Lyle Gorch, one of two vampire brothers from the Wild Wild West. Buffy and Lyle fight, but he gets away, cryptically saying, “this ain't over.” The next day in school, Xander and Cordelia continue to keep their relationship secret - at least out loud *suspicious side-eye*. During a sex education class, students are given raw eggs to look after as an exercise in responsibility and parenthood. Because this is Sunnydale, the eggs are not chicken spawn but contain mind-possessing face-hugger creatures taking over the school.Xander avoids being possessed by the simple expedient of boiling his egg to make it easier to look after. Buffy is attacked by her egg late at night but kills it with a pair of scissors. The rest of the gang, including Willow and Cordelia, are possessed and knock out Buffy and Xander, stuffing them in a utility closet. When Buffy and Xander wake up, they learn that there is a giant Bezoar demon under the school, which is laying the eggs. Buffy and Xander fight their way into the chamber where the Bezoar lives, but the Gorch brothers also arrive and fight some of the possessed. The egg-laying demon eats the younger Gorch brother, and Buffy is sucked in, but she soon emerges covered in blood. Lyle Gorch wisely bugs out. The episode closes with Joyce assuring Buffy that she will be grounded for the rest of her life.CreditsHosted by Allie Press & Nick MercerEdited by Allie PressMusic by InflatonCultArtwork by Charlotte Fleming DesignConsultation by Evo TerraConnect with us on social media!Email: tabularasabpod@gmail.comTwitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok: @tabularasabpodConnect with Allie on social media:Twitter, Instagram: @DaughterpickTiktok: @futureblackcatbuymeacoffee.com/AlliePressVenmo: Allie-Press

We've always known Sunnydale is filled with a few “bad eggs” (I mean it's on top of a Hellmouth, what do you expect?), but this week the Scooby Gang is literally dealing with rotten eggs filled with alien-like scorpion creatures for a parenting project in health class. All this talk of parenting and the future has everyone acting extra horny and no one can seem to keep their hands off each other. Angel and Buffy make out non-stop in a graveyard (hot) and Xordelia faces the relationship hurdle of whether or not they even like each other while simultaneously playing ‘Seven Minutes in Heaven' in the janitor's closet (hot x2). And if that wasn't enough to deal with for one week, two vampire brothers from the Wild West named Lyle and Tector show up in Sunnydale with all the intentions of making Buffy's life Hell. Will Buffy have to fight two big bads this week or will these new cowboy vampires (because that's a thing now) help her destroy the mother of these gross gooey egg creatures? Just how many gas leaks can one building have before the government gets involved? In this episode, Raquel and Jennifer explore many facets of change - how to deal with it, whether it's for your greater good, and what it can lead to. They also delve into routine vs. monotony, touchstones and control - and how these relate to change. It's been said that most people don't embrace change. As C.S. Lewis stated, "It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad." After all, "nobody wants to be a bad egg."Let Raquel and Jennifer know what you think about this and other episodes of Madness Cafe on IG @madnesscafepodcast or by email at madnesscafepodcast@gmail.com.And don't forget to rate and review the show wherever you listen! Thanks for listening and responding!
