In this intense and eye-opening edition of Unleashing Intuition Secrets, Michael Jaco is joined by world-renowned author and investigative researcher Leo Zagami (Leo Leon) to expose the shadowy world of secret societies, religious subversion, and global power structures. The conversation unravels the hidden influence of the Jesuits and Sabbatean-Frankists and their deep ties to modern geopolitics and elite power networks. From the intrigues within the Vatican and the papacy of Leo XIV to the strategic manipulations of global leaders, Michael and Leo shed light on the unseen forces shaping world events today. This episode uncovers the disturbing connections between Jeffrey Epstein's blackmail network, Vatican finances, and the Black Nobility's financial power, providing unprecedented insight into the systemic corruption that spans governments, banks, and religious institutions. It touches on how mind control and psychological operations are used for mass influence, how the collapse of civilizations is often orchestrated by elite powers, and how emerging technologies like AI are reshaping the future of humanity. Michael and Leo also explore the lasting impact of historical events such as Pearl Harbor, the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East, the manipulations behind global politics, and the disillusionment many feel toward Trump and other leaders. This is an unflinching and thought-provoking conversation for anyone who wants to understand the intricate web of power and control operating just beyond the public eye.   00:00 Introduction and Guest Welcome 00:48 Leo's Latest Book and Papal Commentary 02:18 Papal Politics and Church Dynamics 09:12 Epstein, Maxwell, and Vatican Connections 14:23 Historical Context and Secret Societies 21:31 The Influence of Sabbatean Frankism 32:59 Modern Implications and Political Connections 37:19 Epstein's Network and Global Influence 53:36 The Collapse of Civilization 54:04 Antisemitism and the Elite 54:59 Pearl Harbor and Historical Secrets 55:54 Jeffrey Epstein and Elite Connections 57:02 Disillusionment with Trump 01:01:41 Mind Control and Psychological Operations 01:09:49 The Threat of AI 01:28:14 Middle East Conflicts and Power Dynamics 01:33:33 Final Thoughts and Reflections LANDING PAGE for people to get a "FREE" precious metals consultation with Dr. Kirk Elliott: https://www.kepm.com/jaco/ Affordable Cell Activation Technology with LifeWave: Experience miracles with a deep discount as a Brand Partner https://www.lifewave.com/michaeljaco https://michaelkjaco.com/liveyoungerwithmj/ Power of the Patch Information Resource: Go to: https://liveyounger.com/ AGE REVERSAL WITH GHK-Cu Copper Peptides contained in X-39 and X-49 https://copperpeptidebreakthrough.com Join us every week for Michael Jaco's Miracle Monday Meeting at 6:00 PM EST for Product Testimonials & Questions This 50 Minute Meeting Will Teach You Everything You Need To Know About Phototherapy & LifeWave!! ~ Great for Guests, Customers & Brand Partners ~ ⏬ Click the link below for Meeting access ⏬ Join Zoom Meeting https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87949021063 JoinMichaels Business Builder Webinar ~ Friday 6:00 EST Tune in weekly to Michael Jaco's LifeWave Business Builder Webinars feature LifeWave's top leaders sharing proven strategies, business tips, and real-world success stories to help you grow your organization and achieve lasting financial success. ⏬ Click the link below for Webinar access ⏬ https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86714931635?pwd=WQ8UTQc8o95A1g5q7bOAnRW79mPJep.1 Shop Intuitive Wellness Products to reverse the devastating effects of the vaccine impacts on cardiovascular, reproduction and greater potential for death at any time in history. This week Seth Paridon and co-host Jon Parshall welcome their good buddy Rich Frank back to the show to continue last week's conversation on the diplomatic road to Pearl Harbor. The guys pick up where they left off and begin with Rich's key steps to the oil embargo of July 1941. The discussion is fascinating as the trio waxes poetic on the world view situation as looked at by the Roosevelt administration, speaking on topics ranging from the Eastern Front and Operation TYPHOON, to the Japanese quest for oil and the American's action to shut off the spigots--all which lead to the inevitable in December. Then the guys get into the weeds regarding Japanese diplomats Nomura and Kurusu and their last-minute "attempts" to ward off the war that everyone knew was coming. A truly fascinating discussion that is worth your time as we continue our build-up to the Japanese attack and US involvement in World War II in this, our second episode, of the Pearl Harbor series.  #wwiihistory #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #essex #halsey #taskforce38 #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #mastersoftheair #8thairforce #mightyeighth #100thbombgroup #bloodyhundredth #b17 #boeing #airforce wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #oldbreed #1stMarineDivision #thepacific #Peleliu #army #marines #marinecorps #worldwar2 #worldwar #worldwarii #leytegulf #battleofleytegulf #rodserling #twilightzone #liberation #blacksheep #power #prisoner #prisonerofwar #typhoon #hurricane #weather #iwojima#bullhalsey #ace #p47 #p38 #fighter #fighterpilot #b29 #strategicstudying #tokyo #boeing #incendiary #usa #franklin #okinawa #yamato #kamikaze #Q&A #questions #questionsandanswers #history #jaws #atomicbomb #nuclear #nationalarchives #nara #johnford #hollywood #fdr #president #roosevelt #doolittle #doolittleraid #pearlharbor

We may know about Pearl Harbor and how the war against Japan ended with the US atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But in popular memory, what happened in between is less well-known. Marking the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, we hear of how defeat turned to victory, from epic battles in jungles, to one that played out on a tennis court and saved the British Empire, through remarkable testimonies from British, Indian, and Japanese soldiers who were there, as well as former prisoners of war and civilian internees. Plus we speak to descendants across Britain who are uncovering a family member's story of heroism, imprisonment, and survival.

After my last lecture series with Sarah Paine ended, I still had so many questions. I knew we'd only scratched the surface of Sarah's scholarship, so I immediately invited her back for another series: she graciously agreed, and we'll be releasing the results online over the coming weeks and months! This first lecture is focused on the balance of power in East Asia at the turn of the 20th century. Specifically, how did Japan (population 47M) defeat China (400M) and Russia (130M) to become Asia's dominant power? For me, the most interesting thing was that Japan's surprise attack on Port Arthur at the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War (1904) helps us understand why Japan might have thought Pearl Harbor would work.Watch on YouTube; listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.Sponsors* Google's Veo 3 helps us visualize the hypothetical scenarios that often come up during our interviews. This is Summer of Trinity - a daily description of events in the summer of 1945, touching points around the world but centered (as that summer was) on the Trinity nuclear test.  This episode has daily events for the week ending Saturday July 21th, 1945.   Sunday, July 15,1945 - 1 Day Before Trinity 12th Army Situation Map (Germany and surrounding areas) https://www.osti.gov/opennet/manhattan-project-history/Events/1945/trinity_evaluations.htm The American contingent arrives at Potsdam. The imminent start of the conference was a major reason the Trinity test had been planned of this week. Returning from his one-day shakedown cruise for the USS Indianapolis, Captain McVay meets with Captain William Parsons of Project Alberta and Admiral William R. Purnell - one of the chief military advisors for the Manhattan Project. They don't mention these connections to McVay, who is informed only that his ship has been chosen for an important mission: He is to proceed with all possible speed across the Pacific, first to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and then to the Marianas, on the edge of the Philippine sea. There he will deliver his cargo to the air base on the island of Tinian.  He is assured that every day saved delivering the cargo is a day closer to the end of the war. He is to safeguard the cargo at all costs - ALL costs. If the ship is lost, his first priority will be saving this cargo - if necessary, a lifeboat is to be used to ensure it is undamaged. McVay will not, however, be told what the cargo actually is.     There are some clues, however. There are two Army officers who will accompany the cargo and see it safely ashore at Tinian: Major Robert Furman, and Capt. James Nolan. While they are presented as “artillerymen,” McVay eventually learns from Captain Nolan that he is actually a doctor, with the implication that there are some health concerns about the cargo. Nolan assures McVay that there is no actual danger to the crew of the Indianapolis. Nolan does not mention that he is one of two medical doctors at Los Alamos - not that McVay would have know where that was - nor that he is the doctor who put together the safety plan to ensure the health of those attending the upcoming Trinity test. But McVay knows that there are not a lot of materials that are both relatively small and enough of a health concern to merit the attendance of a doctor. https://ahf.nuclearmuseum.org/ahf/profile/james-f-nolan/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_B._McVay_III https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Indianapolis_(CA-35)   Monday, July 16,1945 - Trinity Yoko Moriwaki's diary is available through online and other booksellers, and in some libraries. https://www.amazon.com/Yokos-Diary-Paul-Ham/dp/0733331173/r https://www.dearfolksies.com/wabern-germany-july-10-august-23-1945/6/ https://www.trumanlibrary.gov/node/400674   Tuesday, July 17,1945 - 1 Day After Trinity The Potsdam Conference began in Potsdam, occupied Germany. This week Seth Paridon and Jon Parshall welcome their good friend, the "Grand Poo-Bah" of Pacific war historians, Rich Frank to the show to discuss the actions of Japan and the United States between the years 1938 and early 1941. Incidents such as the sinking of the USS Panay, FDR moving the fleet to Pearl Harbor, the Japanese move into Indochina, as well as, the Japanese siding with Hitler and Germany by signing the Tripartite Pact all equally led down the road to Pearl Harbor. The guys discuss each specific episode deeply and relay how they weigh in on the eventual decision by Japan to attack the United States at Pearl Harbor. The string of events that led to Pearl Harbor are all fascinating and of vital importance to the overall history of the Pacific War. This episode is the first in a series of several episodes where we trace the route from negotiations, through the attack and all the way to its aftermath. This is the beginning of THE ULTIMATE Pearl Harbor history series available anywhere.  #wwiihistory #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #essex #halsey #taskforce38 #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #mastersoftheair #8thairforce #mightyeighth #100thbombgroup #bloodyhundredth #b17 #boeing #airforce wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #oldbreed #1stMarineDivision #thepacific #Peleliu #army #marines #marinecorps #worldwar2 #worldwar #worldwarii #leytegulf #battleofleytegulf #rodserling #twilightzone #liberation #blacksheep #power #prisoner #prisonerofwar #typhoon #hurricane #weather #iwojima#bullhalsey #ace #p47 #p38 #fighter #fighterpilot #b29 #strategicstudying #tokyo #boeing #incendiary #usa #franklin #okinawa #yamato #kamikaze #Q&A #questions #questionsandanswers #history #jaws #atomicbomb #nuclear #nationalarchives #nara #johnford #hollywood #fdr #president #roosevelt #doolittle #doolittleraid #pearlharbor

Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/786 Presented By: Fish The Fly, Stonefly Nets, On DeMark Lodge, Visit Idaho.  BoneFishing in Hawaii might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of saltwater adventures, but for Marine veteran Mike Bressler, it's become both a calling and a way of life. In this episode, we head to the island of Oahu to uncover what makes Hawaii's flats fishery so unique—and so challenging. From bonefish (known locally as ō‘io) to golden trevally, Mike shares what it's like to guide in one of the Pacific's toughest but most rewarding destinations. Whether you're planning a DIY trip or dreaming of landing a 10+ pound bone, his insights are packed with practical value. We talk about everything from how to master casting in Hawaii's relentless trade winds to how moon phases affect bonefish behavior.  Mike also opens up about building his homegrown “Bone Lodge” for guests, the cultural realities of fishing in local waters, and why he takes veterans out monthly for healing on the flats. This episode is more than a fishing guide—it's about patience, local respect, and finding purpose through saltwater fly fishing. Notes with Mike Bressler on Bonefishing Hawaii 2:03 - Mike Bressler explains that while bonefish are active year-round in Hawaii, spring and summer bring peak action. The largest fish stay on the flats during the winter spawning season, starting around November's full moon. Still, Hawaii is a tough fishery—constant trade winds and challenging conditions make it a true test for any angler. As Mike puts it, “If you can get good out here, you can be good anywhere.” 3:15 - Mike Bressler is based on the island of Oahu, Hawaii's most visited island, known for its iconic Waikiki, but also home to quieter country towns like Hau‘ula, where Mike lives. He explains that bonefish—locally called ‘ō‘io (pronounced "oyo")—can be found all around the island, from beaches to flats. While flats fishing is preferred, Mike notes he has even spotted bonefish from the shoreline. In addition to bonefish, the waters also host various trevally species, including bluefin, golden, and the rare giant trevally, though bonefish remain the main attraction for visiting anglers. Click here for more information. 5:46 - Retired Marine Mike Bressler discovered Oahu's bonefish flats during a COVID quarantine on Ford Island. Now based in Hauʻula, he guides anglers year-round, with peak season from October to December. Windy conditions and remote flats make boat access and strong casting skills essential. 09:06 - Mike Bressler emphasizes that handling Hawaii's wind starts with mastering the double haul and sidearm cast. He recommends aiming for at least a 40-foot cast under the wind and leading the bonefish, not landing the fly on their head. Sometimes, a short flip of the fly is all that's needed, as long as it's placed ahead of the fish's path. 9:49 - Mike Bressler explains that Hawaii's largest bonefish are most active from October to December, as they begin their deep-water spawning cycle around full moons. He advises avoiding fishing three days before and after a full moon since fewer fish are found on the flats during that time. 12:29 - Mike Bressler and his wife host guests at their private rental, the Bone Lodge, a freestanding Airbnb-style unit that comfortably accommodates couples, small families, or fishing buddies. He offers customizable half-day and full-day guided trips, often using his 18-foot Kayo Boatworks skiff—weather permitting—to pole clients across the flats in search of bonefish. Click here to learn more. 16:36 - Mike Bressler explains that while fall offers peak conditions, big bonefish are still catchable in May. These “home guard” fish are older, resident fish that tend to stay shallow and fight with brute weight rather than long runs. Hawaii's bonefish can reach impressive sizes—Mike has landed 12-pounders and knows of fish near 14, with the state record sitting at 15.7 lbs on conventional tackle. He also notes rumors of even larger bonefish—up to 20 pounds—coming from remote areas like New Caledonia. 18:17 - Mike Bressler shares that while bonefish populations are improving globally, Hawaii faces unique conservation challenges. Bonefish are considered a local delicacy, and with no regulations against harvesting them, locals often use nets or hook-and-line to catch them. Although enforcement is limited due to resource constraints, Mike hopes increased awareness will lead to better stewardship of the fishery. 20:51 - Mike Bressler starts most guided trips around 6:30–7:00 AM, timing for sunlight to spot fish while walking the flats and watching for signs of life like turtles or goatfish that indicate bonefish are nearby. Rather than tailing fish, anglers are taught to look for “Heineken backs”—a green shimmer just under the surface as bonefish move in with the incoming tide to feed. 24:31 - Mike Bressler shares that many first-time anglers struggle to spot bonefish, as their green shimmer is often mistaken for similarly colored reef fish. He recommends multi-day trips to learn proper sight-fishing technique—walking slowly, pausing often, and watching for subtle signs like nervous water, much like stalking prey in a hunt. 26:40 - Mike Bressler explains that while guiding, he positions himself based on the angler's casting hand and wind direction, often spotting bonefish 10 to 50 feet—or even 50 yards—away. He coaches clients to observe the fish's movement like a grazing animal, place the cast ahead of it, and use a slow strip to trigger a bite, reminding them never to trout set, but to keep stripping steadily for a clean hookup. 29:16 - Mike Bressler explains that a trout set often pulls the fly out of a bonefish's mouth, while a strip set keeps the fly in the zone, allowing the fish to hook itself through steady tension. He adds that Papio, or juvenile trevally, sometimes rush in and steal the fly mid-strip, earning their nickname as “thieves” on the flats. 31:24 - Mike Bressler shares that while bonefish are the main target, golden trevally are considered the “unicorn” of Hawaiian flats—rare, elusive, and highly prized. Unlike their aggressive GT cousins, golden trevally feed on crabs, mantis shrimp, and baby octopus, making them a challenging and exciting catch that can grow to over 15 pounds. 32:53 - Mike Bressler emphasizes using a slow, smooth two-foot strip to keep the fly close to the bottom, imitating natural prey like crabs and mantis shrimp. He teaches anglers to let the fly sink fully, clear slack for direct connection, and make gentle, quiet adjustments—since bonefish, like snipers, will spook if prey behaves unnaturally or the line is moved too aggressively. 37:00 - Mike Bressler prefers a 12–14-foot leader built from 40-30-20 pound sections, finishing with a Rapala loop knot and adjusting to 16-pound tippet on calm days to reduce visibility. For gear, he recommends a 9-foot 8-weight rod paired with a sealed drag reel, 150 yards of backing, and Cortland's Redfish Tropical fly line, which he trusts for its durability against coral-heavy flats. 39:46 - Mike Bressler prefers natural, flash-free flies for Hawaii's bonefish, favoring subtle patterns like his variation of the “Spam and Eggs” fly, heavier Crazy Charlies, and shrimp-style flies made from materials like Arctic fox, raccoon, and EP fibers. He believes the key to success is imitating local prey like mantis shrimp and crabs, which have no reflective qualities, reinforcing his philosophy that “less is more” when it comes to fly materials. Watch this for more information. 43:08 - Mike Bressler shares that the most effective fly colors for Hawaiian bonefish are browns, tans, blacks, and occasionally a translucent orange, matching the natural hues of local mantis shrimp on the flats. While some mantis shrimp in other regions show vibrant rainbow-like colors, Mike notes that the shrimp in Hawaii's flats are smaller, subtler, and adapted to their muted, sandy environment, reinforcing the importance of natural tones when fly tying. 44:59 - Mike Bressler advises that while Oahu is ideal for DIY bonefishing with walkable flats and public shoreline access, islands like Moloka‘i should be approached cautiously due to cultural sensitivities—locals may challenge visitors fishing near their homes. For Maui or Kaua‘i, DIY anglers should use satellite imagery to identify promising flats and focus on incoming tides, which provide better access and more time on the water without needing a boat. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Moloka‘i. 48:35 - Mike Bressler notes that while bonefish are present on the Big Island, it's the one place in Hawaii he hasn't personally landed one, and he primarily guides out of Oahu, where conditions and access are more reliable. He encourages anglers to book at least a half-day with a guide—not just for learning spots, but to understand the local waters, tides, and fishery culture—emphasizing that for him, guiding is a passion rather than a livelihood, unlike many full-time guides who depend on it to make ends meet. 51:21 - Mike Bressler highlights a major step forward in Hawaiian conservation with the new non-resident fishing license requirement, which began in April and helps fund efforts like coral restoration through DLNR. While no major bonefish-specific conservation group currently operates in Hawaii, Mike stresses the importance of ethical fish handling, reef awareness, and hopes for future support from organizations like Bonefish & Tarpon Trust to expand research and protection efforts in the islands. Get more information here. 55:04 - Mike Bressler reflects on the historical weight of living and guiding near Pearl Harbor, noting its deep connection to his 24 years of service in the Marine Corps. As part of giving back, he offers free monthly guided fly fishing trips to fellow veterans, believing strongly in the mental clarity and healing that comes from time on the water—something he says benefits anyone going through stress, not just those who've served. 59:20 - As the episode wraps up, Mike Bressler offers heartfelt encouragement to new and seasoned anglers alike, reminding them that the real reward in Hawaii isn't just the bonefish but the experience of being on the water in such a stunning place. He expresses support for Project Healing Waters, offers to help veterans get out and fish, and leaves listeners with a simple message: come out, enjoy the island, and if you catch a fish, that's just the bonus. You can find Mike Bressler on Instagram and visit their Website here. Top 8 Bonefishing Tips from Hawaii Guide Mike Bressler 1.  Hawaii's constant trade winds make it essential to learn the double haul and sidearm casting techniques to effectively reach bonefish in tough conditions. 2.  Approach the flats like a hunter—move slowly, pause often, and avoid sudden steps that could alert fish via vibrations in the water. 3. Bonefish in Hawaii often appear as a glowing green shape, like a Heineken bottle, moving through the water. Training your eyes to spot them is key. 4. Mike recommends fly patterns with no flash, using natural materials like Arctic fox, raccoon, and EP fibers to mimic mantis shrimp and crabs. 5. Strip Set—Never Trout Set. When a bonefish eats, maintain a steady, long strip to hook the fish. Lifting the rod (a trout set) often pulls the fly right out of their mouth. 6. Mike's go-to leader build includes 40-30-20 pound sections, prioritizing strength to manage coral-heavy flats and powerful runs from big fish. Bonefishing Hawaii Videos Noted in the Show Conclusion with Mike Bressler on Bonefishing Hawaii Mike Bressler's journey is more than one of saltwater success—it's about service, purpose, and patience on the flats. Through the relentless wind, subtle bites, and shimmering backs of elusive fish, he teaches us what it means to listen to the ocean, move with intention, and respect the waters that feed our souls. Nazi Germany occupied most of the European continent, while in Asia, the Second Sino-Japanese War had turned China into a battleground. A riveting account of the five most crucial days in twentieth-century diplomatic history: from Pearl Harbor to Hitler's declaration of war on the United States. By early December 1941, war had changed much of the world beyond recognition. Nazi Germany occupied most of the European continent, while in Asia, the Second Sino-Japanese War had turned China into a battleground. But these conflicts were not yet inextricably linked--and the United States remained at peace. Hitler's American Gamble recounts the five days that upended everything: December 7 to 11.   Mr. X (Donald Sutherland) in the movie JFK by Oliver Stone was based off of the military career of Col. L. Fletcher Prouty. Prouty's military career started before Pearl Harbour, where he was assigned as a Horse Cavalryman. After horses were replaced with tanks in 1941, Prouty joined the Tank Corps under General Creighton Abrams. Abrams went on to be the Senior Military officer in Vietnam during the Vietnam War from 1968-1972. Already a licensed pilot in the Tank Corp, the Air Force recruited Prouty; he transferred quickly to flight school in Africa. Prouty served in the Africa Middle East wing of the Air Transport Command. Prouty being sent to the Cairo Conference in 1943 was the start of Prouty's career with clandestine operations. The Cairo Conference was attended by Churchill, Roosevelt & Chiang Kai-Shek from China. From there, Prouty was sent directly to the Tehran Conference between Churchill, Roosevelt & Stalin met for the 1st time. Why haven't historians been told that Chiang Kai-Shek was ALSO at the Tehran Conference? Prouty knows Chiang Kai-Shek attended the Tehran Conference because he was the pilot that flew him there. A friend of Prouty's was the pilot who flew Elliot Roosevelt to the same Tehran Conference in 1943. After the conferences Prouty was sent to Pacific, flying heavy transport, mostly patients to the hospital, until the war ended. The unit Prouty was flying in was asked to fly immediately into Japan once the war was over in August 1945. The only air base that the US hadn't bombed in anticipation of invading was the major underground Japanese base at Atsugi. The CIA utilized the Atsugi base, where men like Lee Harvey Oswald were later stationed. When Prouty flew back to Okinawa he noticed a huge stockpile of military equipment being loaded onto US ships. The Harbour Master told Prouty the equipment was being sent to Vietnam and Korea. Who had given the orders for the relocation of the military equipment? How early were plans made to invade Vietnam? Prouty was ordered by the Army to report to Yale University to help start a new aviation program. Prouty taught at Yale for three years before being sent to NY to write a text book on Aeronautics for the US Army. After publishing the first text book, Prouty was asked to write another book on rockets and missiles. Given full authority by the government to go anywhere, and interview anyone, Prouty interviewed Werner Von Braun. Von Braun explained to Prouty in 1949 how he would land a rocket on the moon. After helping to set up the NORAD operation in Colorado Springs, after a year Prouty was sent to Tokyo. While the US was an occupation force in Japan, the US military ran the country while Japan was rebuilt. Tokyo had been completely devastated. Prouty was installed as the airport manager for the International Tokyo Airport. Prouty had never seen anywhere as destroyed as Tokyo was by the end of the war. In the Korean war period, after the airport was given back to the Japanese, Prouty helped fly supplies to Lansdale. In 1952-1953 CIA's Edward G. Lansdale built up a covert army in the Philippines under the leadership of Ramon Magsaysay. President Quirino had been the leader of the Philippine government before Magsaysay was installed in 1953. In 1955 Prouty was sent back to US to attend the Armed Forces Staff College run by the Joints Chiefs of Staff. Prouty was then brought into the Pentagon. In 1955 under Eisenhower, CIA would get assistance and funds from military conduits to support their covert operations. In order to enable this plan, an office and system had to be created to handle this global operation. As Chief of Special Operations for the Air Force, Prouty was given the task of heading and creating the office and system. Lansdale was also in the Pentagon at this time, developing programs which later turned into the Special Forces.

Host: Carol MacAllister Guest: Richard Masayoshi Ikeda Description: On 2/21/1934, it was Richard's 8th birthday when his father was taken away by the FBI. In the wake of the attack on Pearl Harbor, 12/7/1941, the emotional hysteria that followed led the government to label all citizens of Japanese ancestry “enemy aliens.” Most lived on the West Coast and were American citizens. With no due process, they were incarcerated in 10 “relocation” centers throughout the West. In all, 110,000 people lost everything and were housed in horse stables and tarpaper shacks on land unfit for human habitation. Richard's father went to Santa Fe, NM, while the rest of the family joined 9,000 others in Jerome, Arkansas. Richard recounts his life there and the mindset that enabled them all to make the best of their circumstances, all the while proving their loyalty to America by excelling in all they did. From picking beans for $ 0.35 a bushel to an illustrious 40-year career as a polymer physicist at DuPont, Richard's tale is one of pragmatic intelligence, resilience, and determination.

Louis Bourgault was 16 years old when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor - too young to formally join the military. After his father rejected a teenage plot to go join the Canadian forces, Bourgault enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps when he turned 17. After grueling basic training at Parris Island, Bourgault was tapped as a message runner. He was soon off to San Diego and then shipped to New Zealand. After spending time loading and unloading ships at Guadalcanal, it was soon time to enter the fighting. In this edition of Veterans Chronicles, Bourgault gives an unvarnished look at basic training and how it prepared new Marines for war. He also describes a Japanese torpedo attack at Guadalcanal. From there, he takes into the combat on Bougainville, where Bourgault and many others fought both the Japanese and tropical ailments.Bourgault then shares his vivid memories of the difficulties in getting onto the beach at Iwo Jima, what he saw there, and being medicially evacuated a short time later. He also remembers seeing the U.S. flag atop Mt. Suribachi and what it was like to hear the war had ended several months later.Lastly, Mr. Bourgault shares how much it means to him that so many Americans make a point of thanking him for his service.

Eunice was a confident hard working woman, that loved God, her country and her family. She was proud of her accomplishments and rightfully so.  Chef Dennis is a successful classically trained chef, now retired and a very popular travel and food blogger. He prefers to cook for others rather than cook a meal for himself. His grandmother taught him a lot about food and cooking and she passed down "the joy of cooking." And now Dennis is sharing the 'joy of it' with all of his readers. You can find out more at https://www.askchefdennis.com/ Dennis's maternal grandparents were originally from Mexico and both were highly educated. His grandmother was a  teacher and his grandfather  a minister.  Eunice and her nine siblings were also all educated starting at a young age. All the children were born and raised in Texas and bilingual from an early age. Littley says of his mother's family "they were an all American family-all my uncles served in the Armed Forces and an uncle was at Pearl Harbor."  Because Eunice was always studying and/or working, she never really had too much time to cook.  She often worked nights so she could be home to see  Dennis before and after school. Chef Dennis says that his mom, who he adored dearly, "influenced him and his love for cooking in an offhanded way." "Her lack of cooking skills and my love of food and her encouragement really helped push me in the right direction.  She was the reason I really started cooking and went int this field." says Littley.  Dennis loved to cook for his mom and says  "I was never pressured into being a doctor or lawyer, my mother just wanted me to be happy."  But he took care of his mom as well. At a young age, he would collect recyclable bottles and cans, ride his bike to the supermarket and buy food with the money he made to cook for his mom because she didn't have time to cook for herself.  Dennis agrees that he gave his parents a hard time, a bit rambunctious, but he was named after the  'Dennis the Menace' tv character, after all.My guest, got his first full time job at 12 years old and became manager of a burger place, flipping burgers at 13 in Atlantic City, New Jersey right on the ocean. When asked what meal he'd cook for his mom if she were here today, Dennis reminisces about the rice, pepper, onion, bacon and cheddar cheese casserole his mom and he loved to eat till the dish was empty and everyone was happy.  Later on in life, once Eunice had retired from nursing, she was able to embrace her time in the kitchen with her friends and found the ‘joy of cooking'. On December 8th, 1941, Japanese forces attacked Wake Island. The Americans were outmanned and out gunned, but fought hard for 15 days before surrendering. Sgt. Pearsall and his fellow Marines were taken as prisoners of war, and spent 3 ½ years at a prison camp in China during WWII.  Sergeant John Edward ‘Swede' Pearsall served in the Marines as a part of the 1st Defense Battalion, D Battery on Wake Island in 1941.  Wake Island is located 2,458 miles west of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. The U.S. knew a Japanese attack was coming, so men were stationed on the island to protect it.  On December 8th, 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese attacked Wake Island. The Battle of Wake Island lasted for a little over two weeks until American forces surrendered in order to protect civilian lives.  After the surrender, Sgt. Pearsall and his fellow Marines were almost executed before the Japanese decided to take them as prisoners. They would eventually be taken on a prison ship to Yokohama Harbor, and then transported to Wusong China, where they would spend three and a half years in a prison camp.  At the camp, conditions were brutal. They had little water to drink or bathe with, were beaten often, were not adequately fed, and were forced to do physical labor. During the interview, Pearsall had this to say about the camps: “Starvation, I found, was the toughest thing. The beatings you took. Almost daily, you took beatings from the Japanese, but you kind of became punch-drunk, so to speak. You expected them and you lived with them. But starvation you don't live with. When you're hungry, you're hungry 24 hours a day. You go to sleep hungry. You wake up during the night hungry, and you're hungry all day. Starvation is one of the toughest things we found to face. The work and labor that they made us do was tough, but the food was totally inadequate for the work and to sustain life. Myself, I went from a 200 pound Marine. When the war ended, I weighed somewhere around 85 pounds, so that when the war finally came to end, there wasn't much left of us. We couldn't have sustained life, under the food we were getting, much longer.” Finally on Easter Sunday, 1945, American forces arrived and liberated the camp, saving Sgt. Pearsall and his fellow prisoners. Upon arriving home, Pearsall was awarded the Purple Heart. To learn more about J. Edward Pearsall and the Battle of Wake Island, check out Son of Wake Island. This week Seth Paridon and Jon Parshall take a look at some really, really cool National Archives archival footage. The guys dig into the records of Hollywood director John Ford's Field Photographic Unit that operated on Oahu, mainly at Kaneohe and Pearl Harbor from February-May 1942. In a startling, but super cool, discovery, the guys find footage of VB6's SBD B-15 in flight, one of two SBDs still in Yorktown's hangar to this day. A major portion of this episode focuses on footage that Ford shot of the resurrection, repair, and refloating of the US Navy's battleships at Pearl Harbor. USS California (BB-44), USS West Virginia (BB-48) and USS Nevada (BB-35) are all shown in various stages of having water pumped out, refloated, repaired and put in dry dock. The shots of West Virginia's torpedo damage is stark to say the least. Views of USS Arizona (BB-39), as well as the Big E, USS Enterprise (CV-6) in all her glory are also seen. Give this one a view--you won't be disappointed. National Archives Reel Numbers: 428npc47614, 47615, 47616, and 47617 428npc47620, 47621 428npc47623 428npc47625, 47626, 47627, 47628, and 47629 428npc47631 428npc47634, 47635, 47636 All NARA footage shown is public domain.  #wwiihistory #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #essex #halsey #taskforce38 #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #mastersoftheair #8thairforce #mightyeighth #100thbombgroup #bloodyhundredth #b17 #boeing #airforce wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #oldbreed #1stMarineDivision #thepacific #Peleliu #army #marines #marinecorps #worldwar2 #worldwar #worldwarii #leytegulf #battleofleytegulf #rodserling #twilightzone #liberation #blacksheep #power #prisoner #prisonerofwar #typhoon #hurricane #weather #iwojima#bullhalsey #ace #p47 #p38 #fighter #fighterpilot #b29 #strategicstudying #tokyo #boeing #incendiary #usa #franklin #okinawa #yamato #kamikaze #Q&A #questions #questionsandanswers #history #jaws #atomicbomb #nuclear #nationalarchives #nara #johnford #hollywood

This question ignites a powerful message from Pastor Jeff as he dives into the heart of 1 Thessalonians 5, exploring the transformative truth of Christ's second coming. With vivid historical references, from Pearl Harbor to the Resurrection, Pastor Jeff illustrates how pivotal moments shape our lives—not just in history, but in our spiritual journeys as well. He emphasizes that we are called to respond to God's warnings with urgency, refusing spiritual complacency, and resting in His divine rescue plan. In a world that often embraces apathy, Pastor Jeff encourages listeners to reject complacency and rally together in hope, as they keep their eyes on the promise of Christ's return. Empire Abroad, Autocracy at Home: Col. Wilkerson on the U.S.-Israel Attack on Iran

Former Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, joins Paul Jay and condemns the Israeli attack on Iran as an unprovoked violation of international law—and a dangerous step toward full-scale regional war. Wilkerson argues that the U.S. is complicit, acting through Israel as a proxy.  Wilkerson analyzes the use of the military in L.A. and doesn't mince words: the Empire is collapsing into autocracy and militarism, and the consequences could be catastrophic. TranscriptListenDonateSubscribeGuestMusic Paul JayHi, welcome to theAnalysis.news. I'm Paul Jay. In just a few seconds, we'll be back with Colonel Larry Wilkerson to discuss the Israeli attack on Iran.Prime Minister of Israel, Netanyahu, who says this is not an attack on the Iranian people. It's an attack on the Iranian regime. But in fact, it's exactly that, an attack on the Iranian people. The sovereignty of a country is not the sovereignty of a government. It's the sovereignty of the people, and it's the sovereignty of Iran that has been illegally attacked by every piece of the UN charter and international law, an unprovoked attack on the people's sovereignty. Now, I've been very critical over the years of the Iranian government. I'm not going to call it a regime. I don't know why it's more of a regime than most of the other governments or states that call themselves governments. My guest and I, Larry Wilkerson, who will be here in just a few seconds, we've both been very critical of the Iranian government and its repression of people and opposition movements in Iran. That has nothing to do with what's going on here. This is an out-and-out, unprovoked attack on Iran. We're going to talk about the reasons for that, but let me just add one other small thing, which we'll talk about. It's maybe not that small.Critiquing this Israeli attack is not anti-Semitism. In fact, this is just like the Cold War. When people condemned the Vietnam War, they were called communists. They're being soft on communists. Well, now, if you critique the crimes of the Israeli government, and now this unprovoked war, and of course, the genocide in Gaza, the bombings in Lebanon, now you're an anti-Semite. It's being thrown around just the way it was, the anti-communist rhetoric of the Cold War.Now, joining us to talk about this current conflict is Larry Wilkerson. Thanks for joining us, Larry.Col. Lawrence WilkersonGood to be with you, Paul. Long time.Paul JayFor people who don't know, Larry was the Chief of Staff for Colin Powell, both at the Joint Chiefs and at the State Department. So, let me start by asking you, Larry, what do you make of the way the media is covering this? I was a little surprised over the last year that there were at least some reports on how Gaza was being devastated. You saw quite a few pictures of the killing of children, and there was a glimmer of legitimate reporting for a while. Now, this is so one-sided. I watch CNN, and guest after guest is essentially from the Israeli government or the Israeli ambassador, and the fact that this is a complete violation of international law is not even mentioned.Col. Lawrence WilkersonWell, this is truly a disgusting display of the Empire's degradation and profound slippage from world leadership. There's no question about that. Not only have we violated international law, consistently, we have ignored even those or punished even those who didn't want to ignore it or were trying to do something about it, like South Africa and their application to the court with regard to the genocide in Gaza. I think it's appalling that we did a Yamamoto. We did a Pearl Harbor. We did a Saddam Hussein on Kuwait attack on Iran. We, not Israel, the United States of America, using Israel as its foremost in the frontline proxy, if you will, just like we're doing with Ukraine. We said, diplomacy was going to continue. We achieved tactical surprise, an enormous advantage for an Air Force attacking,
