He found meaning and relevance in Jesus which caused him much trouble at home. But he says, "it was worth the cost." Bob has worked for Jews for Jesus since 1979, and served as the leader of our work in Washington DC and New York City before moving to Sydney in 1998. Bob and his wife Patty both graduated from the University of Kansas and Fuller Seminary. They have three adult children and four grandsons.

His knowledge and experience in the Orthodox Jewish world has been important to his ministry. He was raised in Europe but was born in Israel, and he speaks English, French, and Hebrew. Yoel has always had the heart of a teacher, and after earning a master's degree in theology and leadership from Western Seminary, he served as trainer for our missionary staff in Israel. He was the first field missionary beginning his service in February 1974. Tuvya continues to serve the Lord, now as the Director of cross-cultural ministry to Jewish-Gentile couples, based out of the Los Angeles office. Tuvya was raised in Northern California in the institutions of American Judaism. During his bar mitzvah at age thirteen, Tuvya read from Isaiah 6:1-8 and declared with the prophet, "Hineni-Here I am, send me!" However, his search for God and spiritual truth didn't come into focus until ten years later, when a Christian colleague encouraged him to seek God in the pursuit of truth.
