Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho might just be one of the most influential films of all time. We do it no justice by talking about it.We also chat about Eminem, video game delays, Alex's new risqué business ventures, and make non-stop jokes about the recent Netflix documentary, Don't F*ck with Cats.Main Event:PsychoTrailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deWPlnlN_DcJacob's Etsy (go give him your support!): https://www.etsy.com/shop/CricketBoxCreationsPodcast Links:FacebookTwitterInstagram
This week, we're starting a dive into the films of Alfred Hitchcock! Our first film in the series is an all-time classic: Psycho. The movie features some amazing performances from Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh. Though, they had some really terrific roles to work with given the script. I confess, I only saw this movie all the through for the first time a year or two ago at our Alamo Drafthouse. It's funny, these movies baked into the zeitgeist, sometimes it feels like we've seen them when we haven't. I'm really looking forward to sharing these movies with Claire, and I anticipate a couple of first time watches for myself. Join us! Fill in some of your cinematic gaps as we venture into what we've dubbed #OperationMasterOfSuspense. This operation name is extremely on the nose. I know. Follow the podcast @BaCEAPodcast on Twitter. Don’t forget to leave a review or comment. And as always, thank you for listening. Let us know, what did your kids think of this one? In an attempt to do their freshman film studies professor justice, Corey and Liam take a look at the (almost) shot-for-shot remake of Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO. Is it a mere novelty? Are we glad that it exists? Do black and white movies truly suck? With the help of Vince Vaughn, all these questions - and many more - will be answered. Titus & Eric Cook discuss Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho--the conflict of innocence & respectability playing out against modern liberation. In post-war prosperity, people get a sense of the horror lying beyond the city--the ancient Biblical-Greek tragedy identification of the home as the place of tragedy & the modern discovery of meaningless crimes of passion. Redemption collapses into justice, justice into a search for truth. Society, the law / the police, & the modern science of psychiatry doom innocence by ignoring the problem of evil. Biblical stories & Renaissance art are in conflict.

Rev. Larry gives us the secret for transforming our lives through changing our beliefs. He's using Ernest Holmes' "It's Up To You" and Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" for inspiration.
Krissy's finally been Hitchcock'd! YES! For our next week in "Directors Month," we watched Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Rear Window (1954), making them the very first Hitchcock movies Krissy has EVER SEEN. Say whaaaaaaat???!?? Thank Jeebus we have this podcast so we could rectify that crazy happenstance. And since we were rollin' late on this episode, we tried to keep it shortish, even using a stopwatch. The timed discussion includes crazy talk 'bout Norman Bates' "nervousity," bad taste AIDS jokes, Janet "Worst Crook of All Time" Leigh, controversial flushing toilets, bad James Stewart impressions, our personal Rear Windows, the flash defense and Supreme Hottie Grace Kelly! It's all PG-ish and totally in TECHNICOLOR!!!!!
Take the title of the podcast in either of two ways. In this edition of the Plastic Podcast, Robert Davis and J. Robert Parks talk about Guy Ritchie's recent adaptation of Sherlock Holmes and about Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Gus Van Sant's intriguing remake. It's our second podcast this month. Don't get used to it.
