With the Vuelta a España pausing for its second rest day before the final week resumes on Tuesday, Lionel Birnie and Graham Willgoss get together to recap the 2026 men's Tour of Britain.Five days of racing took the peloton from Lincoln, famous for hosting one of the greatest single-day races on the British calendar, to the Borders of Scotland. We also discuss two riders at opposite ends of their career – Ben Swift, who completed the Tour of Britain in his 18th and final season as a professional rider, and Ben Wiggins, who is aiming for a pro contract and raced very aggressively on the final day to secure a place in the overall top ten for the young Great Britain team. Graham talks to Wiggins, son of the 2013 Tour of Britain champion, Bradley, about his week on the road and aim for the upcoming World Championships, where he will ride the under-23 time trial. Un violento y planificado robo conmocionó a la localidad de Intendente Alvear durante la noche del viernes. Al menos cuatro delincuentes encañonaron, golpearon y maniataron a un reconocido contratista rural y a su empleado, apoderándose de un millonario botín en efectivo. Tras el golpe, los sospechosos incendiaron el vehículo en el que se trasladaban y, según las primeras hipótesis de los investigadores, ya habrían conseguido abandonar la provincia."Creemos en esa hipótesis, que prendieron fuego el auto con el que fueron hasta la casa de la víctima para escaparse en otro auto",explicó Damián Campos en diálogo con Radio5fm.com

El procedimiento se desarrolló durante varias horas en un inmueble de calle Alvear al 3300. Finalmente, cerca del mediodía, efectivos del Grupo de Operaciones Especiales lograron controlar la situación y trasladaron al hombre de 37 años para su internación.

Si bien el motivo exacto de la confrontación es motivo de investigación y aún no ha trascendido, el altercado escaló rápidamente hacia la violencia física.

En esta edición de «En Perspectiva», Mariana García de Alvear entrevista al Padre Luis Escandell, SHM, que nos presenta un documental de Siervos HM Films: «San Francisco de Asís: Icono de la Cruz». Un santo aparentemente muy conocido, es en muchas ocasiones manipulado y malinterpretado, por lo que en este documental se trata de presentar al Francisco histórico, real, al hombre y al santo, conocer los lugares donde vivió y se santificó, desvelar los sentimientos más íntimos de su corazón enamorado de Cristo, y Cristo Crucificado. Debemos aprender del ejemplo de este gran santo, que hizo visible a Cristo no sólo a través de las marcas en su cuerpo sino con su estilo de vida marcado profundamente por la pobreza y la humildad.
En el mundo de hoy Europa sufre las consecuencias de la pérdida de fe y una sociedad cada vez más deshumanizada. La única solución es volver a levantar la cruz. Mariana García de Alvear entrevista a Irene González Fernández sobre su libro: «Salvar Europa». La autora nos presenta los distintos temas que toca en su ensayo político, desde la visión del nuevo orden y formas de poder que contribuyen a la descristianización de Europa, hasta la recuperación de «la verdad y las raíces cristianas de Europa». Es un libro con un mensaje que no nos deja indiferentes. En esta edición de «En Perspectiva», Mariana García de Alvear entrevista a la hna. Emma Haynes, SHM, que nos cuenta su experiencia en la edición del último documental de HM Televisión: «Cristo Rey y su Sagrado Corazón». Este docudrama, realizado con ocasión del centenario de la proclamación de la Solemnidad de Cristo Rey, por el papa Pío XI, nos descubre, entre otras cosas, las raíces bíblicas de la realeza de Cristo, su íntima relación con el Corazón de Jesús y cómo dejar que Él reine en nuestras vidas. Además, a través de escenas dramatizadas, conoceremos la historia de Sor María del Divino Corazón, una emisaria de Cristo Rey.
En esta edición de «En Perspectiva» Mariana García de Alvear entrevista al Padre Francisco Fernández Román, superior general de los «Esclavos de María y de los pobres». En esta ocasión, nos habla sobre el origen y las iniciativas del instituto religioso. Fundado por el siervo de Dios, el padre Leocadio Galán Barrena, justo al terminar la guerra en 1939, los Esclavos continúan hoy en día con la misión de buscar a Cristo en los pobres y más necesitados. Dirigen lo que llaman «Casas de la Misericordia», donde acogen a todo tipo de personas necesitadas o con discapacidad, a quienes cuidan y proveen de un ambiente familiar, según su carisma. Además organizan actividades para jóvenes y niños formándoles en la fe y acercándoles también a la Virgen, Nuestra Madre.
