Brandon Turnage is spending his final college season back home at Ole Miss. He couldn't be more content. Or confident.Turnage has no regrets about his nomadic career. He's a one-time standout defensive back/wide receiver/quarterback at Lafayette (Mississippi) High School. He left home to first develop under Nick Saban at Alabama. Tennessee, meanwhile, was a needed, multi-year stop with teammates he'll never forget. But Ole Miss is home. And the Rebels are title-chasing in 2024-25. Ole Miss opens against Furman August 31.“What it means to be back home? It kind of means everything,” Turnage said. He's the guest this week on the Ole Miss Spirit's ‘Ivey League' podcast. “I get to play in front of my family day-in and day-out; my people within a 10-minute range from the stadium to see me play. It's awesome.”Our Sponsors:* Check out Mint Mobile: mintmobile.com/tocAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the winner from yesterdays detective work in Isaiah Hamilton from the Houston Cougars who listed Ole Miss in his Top 4 with Missouri Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide and Michigan Wolverines as well. Him potentially joining Trey Amos and Brandon Turnage with Chris Graves and Cedrick Beavers has to make Pete Golding excited. In the second segment of the show we talk about Jacob Bostick a Freshman Wide Receiver from the Iowa Hawkeyes and yes we will make a few jokes about the Iowa Offense but we also tell you how this WR would fit in Ole Miss and their WR Room with the future Rebels included as well. Tre Harris obviously is the 2024 leader and he will have a FREE football camp for kids aged 7-12 in Lafayette, La as well. In our final segment of the day we talk about the Wide Receiver room led by Tre Harris for Lane Kiffin and how this unit has a chance to be the best in College Football this season. Juice Wells and Jordan Watkins have each become elite run after the catch inside receivers and Ole Miss can expect a real boost this May or June from Deion Smith, the JUCO WR from Holmes Community College.
Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the some surprises that the Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin might recruit out of the Transfer Portal and specifically at the Wide Receiver position…Yes you heard that correctly so I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and grabbed a pipe and started looking for clues for directions that Ole Miss and George McDonald and yes Jaxson Dart's instagram played a major role. This team already has Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Juice Wells, Deion Smith and Cayden Lee but they may be looking to grow that room. In the second segment of the show we talk about Isaiah Hamilton from the Houston Cougars and what type of role a Cornerback of this magnitude would have in this lineup that features Trey Amos, Brandon Turnage, Chris Graves and Cedrick Beavers already. And why this would allow John Saunders, Jaden Canady and Yam Banks to stay in the middle of the field for Pete Golding. In our final segment of the day we talk about the Running Back room post spring after the Kedrick Reescano defection. What does Ole Miss have currently with Ulysses Bentley IV, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Henry Parrish Jr right now and how Ole Miss can fill the role of a thumper with personnel and two Tight End formations. Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the South Carolina Gamecocks fan narrative on Juice Wells that has become dominant. That is Juice Wells intentionally didn't play last season even though he was cleared to play because he wanted to transfer and took Carolina NIL money and left. Once he transferred to Ole Miss Rebels he required Jones Fracture surgery and he is currently recovering. Juice said that he likely was shutting it down for spring but is is about to start moving around as normal and it is going well. In the second segment of the show we talk spring football and we talk about Suntarine Perkins and where he is as a second year player in Pete Golding's defensive system and how much weight he wants to gain and how Lane Kiffin and Pete Golding plan on using the young defensive star. Brandon Turnage met the media as well and the Tennessee Volunteer and Alabama Crimson Tide transfer is performing well per Juice Wells. And Tre Harris showed and talked about the young WRs in Cayden Lee and Noreel White and how battling with Trey Amos is helping him. In our final segment of the day we talk about former New York Giants head coach Joe Judge has been hired as an off field analyst by Lane Kiffin for a terrific staff. The USC Trojans have hired Eric Musselman from the Arkansas Razorbacks and all the analysts are saying Chris Beard the Ole Miss Hoops coach will be a candidate and I am not so sure. Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about Ole Miss bringing in Nate Kalepo from Washington Huskies and B.J. Green from the Arizona State Sun Devils as the Transfer Portal window is closing. We look at the way the Ole Miss Rebels have attacked this portal window and how these two players could really positively affect this Ole Miss Roster which is by far the best in my lifetime. In the second segment of the show we talk about the commitments from Trey Amos from the Alabama Crimson Tide and Brandon Turnage from the Tennessee Volunteers and how those two with Amorion Walker from the Michigan Wolverines have made that room good for an Ole Miss defense that thanks to the front seven they have a chance to be really good in 2024. In our final segment of the day we talk about the Basketball game on Saturday between the Auburn Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels from Auburn, Ala. Ole Miss got popped in that game but it is a reminder that this is a process and Ole Miss Hoops has some growing to do. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Tennessee Football lost Brandon Turnage, Jack Luttrell and Mo Clipper Jr. to the transfer portal while offering Texas A&M transfer offensive lineman Remington Strickland. UConn Huskies transfer tight end Justin Joly also entered the portal. However, does Aggies defensive lineman Walter Nolen's entry outweigh all of that? Should the Volunteers open up the NIL checkbook for him?
