The Rebels secured their third 10-win season in four years. Third-year star quarterback Jaxson Dart went out fittingly with a record-breaking performance. Arguably the greatest modern-era Ole Miss defense terrorized one last opposing offense. And yet it all came against the backdrop of what could have been — if not SHOULD HAVE been — for the Rebels this season. The Rebels have won five of their last four meetings with the Bulldogs. Ole Miss awaits its College Football Playoff fate. All the while the Rebels are looking to put the finishing touches on their 2025 high-school recruiting class. The first of two signing days is Wednesday (December 4). The transfer portal is already churning, too. Georgia CB Julian Humphrey is in. Kentucky wide receiver Barion Brown is rumored to be considering a jump, too. Ben Garrett and Zach Berry of the Ole Miss Spirit (OMSpirit.com) set the stage for Ole Miss' final push to the first of two National Signing Days in this edition of ‘Talk of Champions,' powered by RiverLand Roofing.Ole Miss flipped five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham from Alabama and four-star offensive lineman Devin Harper from LSU last week. Who's next to commit to the Rebels? And where could Ole Miss turn first in the NCAA Transfer Portal? “If you made me pick a name, very close to a flip, RPM pick for Tyler Miller,” Berry said. “Still waiting to talk to a couple people this week. I know there's a lot of buzz there, a lot of momentum. But LSU's done a hell of a job his entire recruitment. His mom has been all-in on LSU and what they have planned for him. They love the offensive line coach there.“But Ole Miss just continues to chip away — pretty much at all of the remaining targets. But Tyler Miller, in particular, is one I think could be next. Not saying he is going to be, but if you made me choose one out of the remaining targets, I would say it's Tyler Miller.”‘Talk of Champions' is always powered by RiverLand Roofing. Ben Garrett and Zach Berry of the Ole Miss Spirit (OMSpirit.com) come together for this Monday (November 11, 2024) edition of Talk of Champions to perform a temperature check on a number of Ole Miss football recruiting targets. The Rebels (8-2, 4-2 SEC) hosted a number of top-ranked prospects for their 28-10 beatdown of Georgia (7-2, 5-2) on Saturday. Among them was Caleb Cunningham — a five-star wide receiver ranked as the No. 1 player in Mississippi for the 2025 class. Could Ole Miss be on the verge of flipping Cunningham from Alabama? Deuce Knight, the five-star in-state quarterback, was in town, too. Where do the Rebels stand with the long-time target and current Auburn commitment?Even more, Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding sent out a shark emoji on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, not long after the final horn of the historic win. Ben and Zach have some ideas of who Golding was possibly referencing. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said Sunday he expects the next 48 hours to be quite fruitful for the Rebels on the trail. The guys tell you why. Talk of Champions is always powered by RiverLand Roofing. No one is doing more for Ole Miss football in the NIL space than RiverLand Roofing.
