This week on the Going Deep podcast, Brandon Angelo and Matt Waldman discuss George Pickens in Dallas, an RB whose talent is rotting on the vine, a QB talent imprisoned in a run-heavy offense, and late-round/UDFA rookie receivers making a good first impression in camps. https://youtu.be/QYJROOSAgww Going Deep will feature podcasts twice a month. You can either watch/listen on YouTube, listen from the player at the bottom of the page, or download the podcast at most outlets, including Google, Spotify, and iTunes Note: If you have difficulty playing the podcast, download it. Topics George Pickens' fit and fantasy value in Dallas. Dak Prescott's likely value with the Pickens addition. A massive RB talent who will rot on the vine with his team. A team that should trade for this RB talent and the WR they should give in return. A rookie TE we expect to earn a starter-caliber fantasy season. A quarterback whose fantasy value won't live up to his NFL value for as long as the current regime is in power. Jimmy Horn, Konata Mumpfield, Dont'e Thornton, Jordan Watkins, and Isaiah Neyor have all made strong first impressions in OTAs. Whose rising value is more than superficial? Now entering its 20th season, learn more about Matt Waldman's RSP — the most in-depth analysis of offensive skill position players available (QB, RB, WR, and TE). Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview Georgia's trip to Ole Miss. That game can be seen on ABC at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon. BetOnline has Georgia as a 3-point favorite. Topics include: Georgia's Carson Beck has got to be better; he's thrown eight interceptions the last three games. The Bulldogs' Trevor Etienne will be key in this game, which comes against one of America's best rushing defenses. The Rebels had an amazing performance from Jaxson Dart and Jordan Watkins in a dismantling of Arkansas last week as the Rebels also found Dae'Quan Wright often. Will All-American Tre Harris play in this one after missing last week? Georgia's talented front could present problems for a Rebel offensive line that's struggled, and also been banged up. Ole Miss has lit up the scoreboard against weaker opponents, but struggled against the SEC. But was last week's dominant performance representative of what the Rebels (a top-5 team nationally in the computers) will be going forward? Lane Kiffin has struggled to win big games, while Kirby Smart has been about as good as it gets in this spot. How much does that matter here? No. 19 Ole Miss improved to 7-2 (3-2 SEC) on the season with a 63-31 shellacking of Arkansas (5-4, 3-3) on Saturday. The Rebels claimed just their third win all-time in Fayetteville and first since 2008.History was made everywhere. Third-year Rebel quarterback Jaxson Dart was 25 for 31 for 515 yards (a single-game school record), six touchdowns and no interceptions. His 562 yards of total offense are a national record. Dart passed Ole Miss legend Archie Manning, who'd held it for 40 years.“A really good performance,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said. “Obviously there's a couple individuals with record-breaking performances, but I thought the team played really well.“I'd like to single-out (Ole Miss offensive coordinator) Charlie Weis. He's taken a lot of criticism. I thought he had a great game plan today. You saw guys not just making plays but wide open. A lot of credit to the players and offensive coaches.”Senior wide receiver Jordan Watkins set new Ole Miss records for receiving yards (254) and receiving touchdowns (5). The Rebel defense had eight sacks and 13 tackles for loss. Up next is Georgia in a showdown that could determine Ole Miss' College Football Playoff fate. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview and share their predictions for Kentucky's trip to Ole Miss and analyze the matchup. Thoughts include: We get a matchup of strength on strength with Ole Miss's offense and Kentucky's defense. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is putting up Heisman Trophy-level numbers--and so is wide receiver Tre Harris. The Rebels have a bunch of other offensive weapons in Henry Parrish, Caden Prieskhorn, Juice Wells and Jordan Watkins. Kentucky's defense is paced on the front end by Deone Walker and the back end by Maxwell Hairston, with a ton of good defenders like JJ Weaver and D'Eryk Jackson in between. Ole Miss's defense has been stout against the run and the pass rush has been one of the country's best. Did Kentucky's passing game, featuring quarterback Brock Vandagrilff and receivers Ja'Mori Maclin, Dane Key and Barrion Brown, get on track last week against Ohio?

Ole Miss last week landed Houston cornerback Isaiah Hamilton. Hamilton replaces Michigan's Amorion Walker. Walker transferred in during the winter and went through spring practices. However, he's since transferred back to Michigan. Walker was more potential than proven production. Hamilton, meanwhile, is a plug-and-play piece for the Rebels opposite Tre Amos. Amos transferred to Ole Miss from Alabama.Hamilton has an 86.9 PFF Grade since 2021. He's also compiled 12 interceptions, 18 pass break-ups, a 70.2 passer rating allowed and a 90.8 coverage grade over that span.More specifically, he addresses the final need for Ole Miss, which will remain active in the portal. Lane Kiffin and Co. are still offering wide receivers despite the returns of Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins and transfers of Juice Wells, Deion Smith and Marquis Willis.Actually, with Hamilton, the Rebels have one of college football's most enviable rosters, as Zach Berry and Ben Garrett of the Ole Miss Spirit explain in this edition of ‘The Flagship,' powered by College Corner. Our Sponsors:* Check out PXG: PXG.com/toc* Check out Tecovas: www.tecovas.com* Check out visit eufyofficial.com/videolock.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the some surprises that the Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin might recruit out of the Transfer Portal and specifically at the Wide Receiver position…Yes you heard that correctly so I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and grabbed a pipe and started looking for clues for directions that Ole Miss and George McDonald and yes Jaxson Dart's instagram played a major role. This team already has Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Juice Wells, Deion Smith and Cayden Lee but they may be looking to grow that room. In the second segment of the show we talk about Isaiah Hamilton from the Houston Cougars and what type of role a Cornerback of this magnitude would have in this lineup that features Trey Amos, Brandon Turnage, Chris Graves and Cedrick Beavers already. And why this would allow John Saunders, Jaden Canady and Yam Banks to stay in the middle of the field for Pete Golding. In our final segment of the day we talk about the Running Back room post spring after the Kedrick Reescano defection. What does Ole Miss have currently with Ulysses Bentley IV, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Henry Parrish Jr right now and how Ole Miss can fill the role of a thumper with personnel and two Tight End formations. Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the importance of Nick Saban on this Ole Miss Rebels football team for Lane Kiffin. It is a team with Jaxson Dart and Walter Nolen that will have plenty of expectations and Kiffin is leaning on his Saban lessons and building up those points with assistant coaches that have Alabama and Nick Saban backgrounds. Wes Neighbors, Pete Golding and Joe Cox join Lane Kiffin as on the field coaches with an Alabama Crimson Tide background but Charlie Weis Jr and William Vlachos also spent time in that building. In the second segment of the show we talk Cayden Lee as the WR Story of spring practice so far and he is someone that has gotten the upperclassmen attention and new WR coach George McDonald is even starting to move this guy around on the field. This is impressive for a guy that is competing with Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins and Ayden Williams and Juice Wells and Deion Smith will be coming soon. In our final segment of the day we talk about College Football 2.0 and whether or not you like it it appears to be here and the Rise of Personnel departments will be the next wave of college football and Ole Miss Rebels just hired a Personnel guy with 20 years NFL experience with the San Francisco 49ers and St Louis Rams to their personnel department that is becoming quite varied.
