In Hour 1… (2:55) Mike Golic Jr. and Mike Golic Sr. lead off the week with some of the biggest news out of the NBA, starting with Joel Embiid's newest knee injury. At the beginning of the 2024-25 season, it was already stated Embiid would be rolling back the amount of minutes he would be playing in hopes of remaining healthy for a playoff run. Come almost four months later, Embiid is once again down with another injury to his knee. Is this going to be the turning point for Philadelphia on how they handle Embiid after 10+ seasons in the Association? (11:54) The guys then transition into another NBA legend sidelined, this time with San Antonio Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich. Pop, who has been with the franchise since 1996. Following a health issue, later reported as a “mild stroke,” Popovich has been away from the team since November 2nd, and it came out this week he is unlikely to return to the sidelines this season. Is this the last we've seen of the five-time World Champion Head Coach, or does Pop have one more in him? The guys hit on everything surrounding the current situation, as well as what Popovich has meant to the game of basketball over the last 30+ years. (19:27) The NBA All-Star Game was poorly received by fans this year, but the media members had their revenge following the All-Star matchup in the Bay Area. The Golic's discuss how some media members were vindicated this week following the mid-season exhibition. (25:07) The guys then transition to Sunday's slate of NBA Games, headlined by the New York Knicks traveling to Boston to take on the defending World-Champion Celtics. The Celtics showed New York why they were defending champs, defeating them by a score of 118-105. They discuss if Boston is still the team to beat in the East, and then talk about some of the other games that caught fans attention on Sunday. (34:22) The NFL Combine begins this week in Indianapolis, and Colorado's Star QB, Shedeur Sanders, won't be throwing at this year's event. This isn't an unprecedented move, as many top picks over the past few years have elected not to throw, and the guys discuss if this is a good or bad move for Sanders, who is projected to go in the Top-5 of April's NFL Draft. They also discuss some of the players who will be running the 40-yard dash, as well as some of the intricacies that hold more value than they should at the combine. (49:28) Finally, Jessie Coffield gives a brief overview of some eye-popping stat lines during Sunday's NBA Slate - particularly with players such as Miami's Tyler Herro and Detroit's Cade Cunningham. Thelma Unleashed: June Squibb and Richard Roundtree's Epic Final Ride – A Tale of Grit, Humor, and Defiance at 93, Interview with “Thelma” writer-director Josh Margolin The Not Old Better Show Interview Series Welcome to a special episode of the Not Old Better Show, sponsored by MDHearing and Prolon. where we dive into the poignant action-comedy film that is taking audiences by storm: "Thelma." This feature film directorial debut from our guest today Josh Margolin and showcases the incredible talents of veteran Oscar® nominee June Squibb, in her first leading role, and the legendary Richard Roundtree, in his final performance. "Thelma" is not just a film; it's a celebration of resilience, humor, and the unyielding spirit of the elderly. Thelma opens world wide on June 21 In "Thelma," June Squibb brings to life a feisty 93-year-old grandmother, Thelma Post, who finds herself the victim of a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, played by Fred Hechinger from "The White Lotus." Refusing to be seen as helpless, Thelma embarks on a treacherous quest across Los Angeles to reclaim her stolen $10,000. Her journey is hilariously action-packed and heartwarming, as she enlists the help of her old friend Ben, portrayed by the iconic Richard Roundtree. Together, they navigate the city on a motorized scooter, facing obstacles that would challenge even the likes of Ethan Hunt from "Mission: Impossible." This film, inspired by a real-life incident involving Margolin's own grandmother, cleverly adapts action tropes to highlight the strength and agency of its elderly protagonist. Margolin's script resonates with infectious humor and a touching narrative, earning rave reviews at this year's Sundance Film Festival for its fresh take on familiar genres and its sensitive portrayal of aging. June Squibb's portrayal of Thelma is nothing short of remarkable. Known for her early career as a dancer and singer, Squibb embraced the physicality of the role, performing most of her own stunts—including high-speed scooter chases and rolling across beds with a gun in hand—all while channeling the fierce determination of her character. Her connection to Thelma's sense of justice is deeply personal, shaped by her lifelong ethos of right and wrong, and her late husband's belief that she could have made an excellent cop. The chemistry between Squibb and Roundtree is palpable, bringing to life a story filled with laughter, grit, and a profound sense of companionship. Margolin's casting choice was driven by Squibb's perfect blend of strength and vulnerability, humor and understatement—qualities that mirror his own grandmother's indomitable spirit. As we explore this extraordinary film, we also ponder the possibilities of a sequel. After all, every great action hero deserves a franchise. Join us as we delve into the making of "Thelma," the remarkable performances of its cast, and the inspiring messages it conveys about aging with dignity and determination.

This week, we're looking at attractions that deserve that final ride. We ask the question, What attraction would you drop everything to go experience one last time. Will you go to the Magic Kingdom for a last ride on Haunted Mansion? Would you run for Epcot if they closed Frozen Ever After? Or how about If they were shutting down Rock n Roller Coaster with Aerosmith? We also go on a couple of tangents. One about the Disney College Program and one about the history of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Westcot. We even get into the ill-fated Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. On this week's solo episode, we're recapping what we saw at the Daytona 500. How did the race play out? How did our bets do? All of those questions are looked at, and more. Then we focus our attention towards Fontana, California and Auto Club Speedway. It's the last time NASCAR will be racing on this 2.0 mile track, so we better make the most (money) of it. We start with the track stats and data sets used this week. Then it's time to call out picks to win the race. We're looking at two guys who are in the 11 to 1 area and a longer shot that seems popular this week. Then we move to the Finishing Position segment where we have a couple top 10s worth a second look, and a Group Bet that is too good to avoid. We also are calling out a pick for our Toolhangerz.com One and Done pool, for anyone who plays those pools. Finally, we break down some Head to Head matchups including one where you can get on either side as an underdog! It's not goodbye, its cya later Auto Club!

First of all, The Taste Buds say goodbye to a SHSSStaple, when Wy, Way, Haught, and Doc mosey on that dusty trail. Finally, some monsters came to the Ghost River Triangle that Wynonna couldn't handle, namely budgetary concerns and COVID. But that doesn't mean we can't be appreciative of four hilarious, gay-as-hell seasons. Will Waverly and Nicole get married? Will Wynonna and Doc end up with each other? How much time will Cassie and the Boys spend discussing the actor's real voices, featured on the BTS short at the end of the episode? Then, Conor and Josh from iFanboy drop by to discuss podcasting through quarantine, the state of comic book TV today, being best friends forever, and who their first fictional crush was! If you want to hear more from the iFanboys, make sure to download the Pick of the Week Podcast, and go to patreon.com/ifanboy!!! Hulk Hogan finally dropped the "Hollywood" moniker, started donning the red & yellow, and became a good guy again. After that, Kevin Nash agreed to put his career on the line for a shot at Hogan's WCW Title. How can it get any better (he asks, sarcastically)? It all took place on a hot August night at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This was the final time WCW would hold a show at the famous bike gathering, and this was a mercy killing. The Insane Clown Posse were in the opening match, Dennis Rodman battled it out with the Macho Man, and almost every single match on this show was awful.
