Robert started his design career in Atlanta at the age of seventeen with women's accessories, and by age 19 he was designing women's clothing under his own label for a local boutique. Age 23 he moved to New Orleans to launch a small manufacturing venture to produce children's clothing for a local company. This proved to be highly fulfilling personally, as well as professionally. In 1990, Robert moved to New York and launched ‘Robert Bullock Hats'. Within the first few months he, with his millinery line, were featured on the cover of Women's Wear Daily. In 1993, Birnbaum and Bullock, a Couture Collection of Bridal Gowns, was launched with design partner Steven Birnbaum. Robert Bullock Bride was launched in 2009 and continues to grow to this day. Robert has enjoyed every step of his career, the relationships along the way and the joy he brings to countless brides on their most special day. It's the beginning of 2021! As most of you probably know, the holidays are also engagement season and that means that this is the time of year when wedding planning begins in full force. One of the first major things to check off a bride's list is saying "Yes" to the dress. DJ Josh thought it would be the perfect time to talk to Maggie Matthews from Margaret Ellen Bridal, because, admittedly, he doesn't have any experience in bridal gown shopping.Maggie shares her passion for creating the experience for brides she works with, the joy she feels while building relationships with those brides, as well as tips for bridal gown shopping so that you can have the best bridal gown experience, too! Like DJ Josh at Highlight Weddings & Events, she is the sole employee of her company and she relishes being a part of each bride's planning process!Make sure to click that subscribe button, so you don't miss an episode. And if you haven't left a review, DJ Josh would appreciate it! He might even read it on a future podcast! Also, if you have a wedding pro that you think other brides might benefit from working with, send their info to josh@highlightweddingsandevents.com. he'd LOVE to chat with them :)The intro and outro for this Highlight Weddings & Events Podcast were both edited and produced by DropHouse Voiceover Production Studio and Tony Tee Neto, Voiceover Artist & Audio Producer. Michael William Paul Reviews let’s explore the gorgeous wedding photography trends that will make your hair stand up, prom like!
The great thing about having my own podcast is that I get to talk to lots of interesting people - not, necessarily, from within the photographic industry. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my industry, but I think there is much to be learned from outside the industry too and, besides, the world is full of really cool people full stories, experiences and insight that just might (and I stress just might) be useful when it comes to running a photography business. While this interview focusses on Ellie's hugely successful wedding gown boutiques, there are plenty of snippets that are useful from customer care, looking after employees, using data and, most importantly, some top tips when photographing wedding gowns. Ellie's website is worth a look as it is beautifully designed. Much to be learned there too! It can be found at https://elliesanderson.co.uk/ If you enjoy this podcast, please head over to Mastering Portrait Photography where there are articles and videos about this wonderful industry. You can subscribe to this podcast on iTunes, PodBean and Spotify. PLEASE also leave us a review - we'd love to hear what you think! If there are any topics you would like to hear, have questions we could answer or would simply like to come and be interviewed on the podcast, please contact me at paul@paulwilkinsonphotography.co.uk

When Annie Corbin and Kate Applebaum met in gymnastics as 6th graders, there wasn't much talk of owning a bridal boutique on 50th and France. But that's all they could talk about after reconnecting years later. After a decade of experience in marketing and bridal fashion, the two combined their strengths and opened Annika Bridal in Edina. Annika Bridal is a boutique that turns the necessity of finding a wedding dress into an experience that will be one of the highlights of her wedding.
