Hemispheric Strategy (Western Hemisphere Control) Goal: eliminate foreign influence in the Americas Highlights: Anti-cartel operations Maritime drug interdictions Notes large claimed reductions in smuggling activity 9. The situation with Iran is escalating fast — and the stakes could not be higher. In this intense episode of Unleashing Intuition Secrets, Michael Jaco sits down with Sheila Holm to break down what's really happening behind the headlines. From rapid military responses and evacuations to strategic messaging coming from U.S. leadership, Michael and Sheila explore whether the current conflict represents the beginning of a wider global confrontation — or a calculated operation targeting terrorist networks and regional power structures. They examine Iran's long history of involvement in proxy conflicts, the shifting balance of power in the Middle East, and why some analysts believe current events may be part of a much larger strategic play. The conversation also revisits historical moments in U.S.–Iran relations, including the 1979 hostage crisis, and discusses clips of a young Donald Trump speaking about Iran decades ago. Sheila shares her perspective on the strategy she believes may be unfolding today, including rapid military actions, evacuations of Americans from high-risk areas, and broader efforts to dismantle terrorist networks. As the discussion continues, Michael and Sheila explore historical claims connected to secret societies and the controversial letter attributed to Albert Pike, which some researchers believe outlined predictions of three future world wars. They examine how these interpretations intersect with modern geopolitical tensions and long-standing debates about global power structures. The episode also touches on NATO, the United Nations, Russia's historical leadership, and questions from viewers about whether boots on the ground are likely in the current conflict. Michael and Sheila bring a candid and engaging discussion, sharing their perspectives on world events and the deeper historical context that may be shaping them.
The United States has dramatically escalated its use of force against drug trafficking organizations in the Western Hemisphere, many of whom have also been designated as terrorist entities by the Trump administration. At a basic level, this signals a shift in U.S. national security priorities, but it also opens a host of political, legal, and practical questions about the role of military force in the fight against organized crime. In this episode, Rubi Bledsoe sits down with Aileen Teague, Assistant Professor in the Department of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. Together they discuss her recent book, Policing on Drugs: The United States, Mexico, and the Origins of the Modern Drug War, 1969-2000. They also delve into recent U.S. interventions against drug trafficking organizations and where U.S. security policy might evolve from here. Use Discount Code: AUFLY30 for 30 percent off on the book.

AP correspondent Charles de Ledesma reports on Netherlands Terrorism.
After nearly four years of delay, the independent review into the UK's counter-terror programme ‘Prevent' has been published. The highly controversial strategy has been slammed by Muslim groups for creating an environment of fear and suspicion around ordinary citizens, who have been questioned in their workplaces, schools and medical facilities as a result.Instead, the review by William Showcross praises Prevent, highlighting instead the need to counter what he calls ‘bad faith' actors trying to undermine the programme. In this episode of The Big Picture, we sit down with Dr Layla Aitlhadj, the director and lead campaigner of Prevent Watch, a Muslim-led initiative representing those impacted by the Prevent programme, some as young as four years old.Producer & Audio Editing: Houda Fansa JawadiFilming & Recording: Hossam SarhanGFX: Anas Alaa www.middlleeasteye.net We'd love to hear your thoughts on this episode, and any guests you'd like us to have on our show. Defending against terrorism requires more than stopping or catching terrorists. Just as important as military and law-enforcement actions against active terrorists are broader government and community efforts to prevent individuals from adopting extreme ideologies in the first place, and countering the attraction of violent methods for those already radicalized. Counterterror expert Matthew Levitt discusses a new bipartisan report that aims to help the new U.S. administration improve and broaden our efforts to prevent and counter violent extremism (PCVE). Today I talk with filmmaker Greg Barker, who won an Emmy for his HBO documentary MANHUNT: THE UNTOLD STORY BEHIND THE HUNT FOR BIN LADEN, about his new film for HBO called HOMEGROWN: THE COUNTER-TERRORISM DILEMMA. In his latest project, he explores the threat of "self-radicalizing" terrorists right here in America through the eyes of the Deputy Directors of the National Counter Terrorism Center and the FBI's National Security Branch, as well as the family members of the Ft. Hood shooter and other U.S. citizens convicted of providing "material support to terrorism." We talk about the film and the many aspects of the issue of homegrown terrorism including domestic surveillance, 1st Amendment rights, the availability of jihadi propaganda online, and the need for U.S. Muslims to take a more proactive role in combating that propaganda and saving young Muslim-American men from the influence of groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS. Greg Barker's film HOMEGROWN: THE COUNTERTERRORISM DILEMMA premieres Monday, February 8 at 9PM EST on HBO. Please subscribe to KickAss Politics on iTunes and leave us a review.
