Ngā Tae Whatu - Woven Dreams is an exhibition by artists Ani O'Neill and Nephi Tupaea, currently on at Tim Melville Gallery. With both artists being members of the Pacific Sisters artist collective, the exhibition shows five new paintings by Nephi Tupaea, and a suite of Ani O'Neill's crochet paintings in response. In placing O'Neill and Tupaea's practices in conversation with each other – intertwined and weaved together – the space embodies the whanaunatanga that fundamentally underlies the Pacific Sisters' kaupapa. Sof had a kōrero with Ani and Nephi about the show, the Pacific Sisters, and their overall practices.

Tras lo que debería haber sido un parto feliz, Sofía Herrera, (educadora perinatal, instructora de EBB, instructora de Hipnoparto y psicóloga social y clínica) pasó casi 20 años creyendo que padecía depresión posparto, hasta que sus estudios revelaron la verdad: había sufrido un trauma obstétrico. Juan Carlos Ier de Borbón y Borbón est né en exil avant la deuxième guerre mondiale. Son père, Don Juan, héritier du trône, l'envoie à l'âge de dix ans en Espagne afin d'y être formé, alors que le pays subit la dictature du général Franco, adversaire politique de la famille. Après son mariage avec la fille du roi de Grèce Sofía, il traverse de longues années difficiles en attente d'un statut officiel. Tiraillé entre son père, figure de la légitimité bafouée, et son mentor Franco, il est alors perçu comme une marionnette manipulée par ce dernier qui finit par le désigner comme successeur à la tête d'une monarchie qui devra être franquiste. A la mort du Caudillo en 1975, le jeune prince de 37 ans devient donc roi d'Espagne, et à la surprise de tous, rétablit la démocratie, légalise le parti communiste, et défend sans vaciller son régime face à la tentative de coup d'Etat militaire en 1981.
