For over three decades, retired Colonel Stu Bradin served on the front lines of some of America's most critical Special Operations missions from Central America and the Balkans to Northern Africa and Afghanistan. He led Special Forces teams under fire, built NATO's Special Operations Headquarters from the ground up, and ran multi-national, interagency fusion cells in the heart of combat zones.But in 2014, Stu Bradin saw a different kind of threat emerging: disconnected allies, stovepiped intelligence, and fragmented Special Operations communities. He knew the next fight against cyberattacks, transnational crime, and terrorist networks would require something we didn't yet have: a global SOF network. Claves del nuevo catálogo oficial de señales de tráfico (en vigor el 1 de julio de 2025) • ¿Cuándo entra en vigor y cómo se van a cambiar las señales? o El Real Decreto aprobado por el Consejo de Ministros fija el 1 de julio de 2025 como fecha de aplicación. o Sustitución física progresiva: las administraciones renovarán las placas durante los ciclos habituales de mantenimiento para evitar gastos extraordinarios. o Las señales suprimidas deberán retirarse en un plazo máximo de 12 meses. • ¿Motivos de la reforma? (Es la primera gran revisión desde 2003) o Alinear la señalización con los cambios sociales, tecnológicos y de movilidad (vehículos de movilidad personal, infraestructuras “humanizadas”, movilidad eléctrica, etc.). o Simplificar y clarificar el mensaje ante la sobrecarga informativa que recibe hoy el conductor (paneles LED, navegadores, ADAS). o Modernizar el lenguaje gráfico: pictogramas más legibles, sin connotaciones de género y compatibles con las recomendaciones de la Convención de Viena. • ¿Hay nuevas señales y pictogramas? o Indicadores específicos para VMP (patinete eléctrico), carriles bici segregados y zonas de prioridad peatonal. o Señales de “carreteras 2+1” y de “radares en tramo” más explícitas. o Placas de alerta por fauna salvaje actualizadas (lobo, corzo y oso) y pictogramas de ferrocarril sustituidos por diseños de alta velocidad. o Nuevas señales de punto de recarga eléctrica y de estaciones de servicio con tipología de combustibles (E10, B7, H2, etc.). • ¿Hay Señales modificadas o eliminadas? o Rediseño del “Stop” (letra más ancha y mayor contraste) y de los paneles de “rotonda” para resaltar prioridades. o Ajuste de tamaños y bordes reflectantes para mejorar la visibilidad nocturna y reducir el consumo de aluminio. o Supresión de pictogramas obsoletos (paso a nivel con barreras abatibles, cruce con tranvía en calzadas donde ya no existen). • Y para los que se examinan, ¿Hay ya libros? o Las nuevas señales NO se preguntarán en los test teóricos hasta, al menos, octubre 2025 (tres meses de adaptación editorial). o Autoescuelas y editores de manuales disponen de ese plazo para actualizar materiales didácticos. • ¿Objetivos de este cambio de señales? o Mejorar la comprensión universal de la señalización y reducir la siniestralidad asociada a errores de interpretación. o Hacer más coherente y sostenible la fabricación y el mantenimiento del parque de señales. o Asegurar que el sistema semiótico español evolucione al ritmo de la nueva movilidad y del espacio público inclusivo.
