Drew Casey and James Decker look back at all the action as Fordham lost a heartbreaker to George Washington on Wednesday night, falling 67-66 as Tyler Cavanaugh knocked down three free throws with less than a second remaining to stun the Rose Hill crowd. The Rams are next in action on Saturday at La Salle before the Atlantic 10 Championship begins next Thursday in Pittsburgh. The Fordham Rams defeated Lehigh 48-27 to give them a 7-1 record on the year, 3-0 in the Patriot League. QB Michael Nebrich threw for 292 yards and a touchdown, but the story of the day was freshman running back Chase Edmonds. Edmonds rushed for almost 200 yards and 5 touchdowns, tying a Fordham and Patriot League record. He almost added a 95-yard kick return to his day, but that was called back by a penalty. Still, the Fordham offense put up over 580 yards and the defense limited Lehigh to just 127 yards to the air.
