Nate heads to Western New York for a special edition interview at St. Bonaventure University. He sits down with Jim Crowley, head coach of the Bonnies Women's Basketball program. A Windsor native with deep roots in Section IV, Crowley shares memories of recruiting standout players from small schools near his hometown, including Laycee Drake, Courtney Mattingly, Mariah Ruff, Miranda Drummond and more. He also opens up about his coaching journey and the path that ultimately led him back to WNY, reconnecting with the region that shaped his career. 

St. Bonaventure (1221-1274) continued the legacy of St. Anthony and was the Franciscan counterpart to Aquinas. He's called the second founder of the Franciscans, and the Prince of the Mystics, because he continued the mystical tradition of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, and he preserves for us the mystical spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi, as well as being an important influence on later mystics, such as St. John of the Cross. St. Bonaventure (1221-1274) was the friend and colleague of St. Thomas Aquinas. What Aquinas was to the Dominicans, Bonaventure was to the Franciscans. Join Monsignor Lamorte and the congregation at St. Patrick's Cathedral for a Tuesday Mass held on July 15, 2025, during the 15th week of Ordinary Time. This service commemorates the feast day of St. Bonaventure, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, and includes readings from the Book of Exodus and the Gospel of Matthew. The Mass is offered for the intention of David Molineux and features hymns, prayers, and a homily reflecting on the teachings of Jesus.

This week's episode of @Notevend2 features Melvin Council Jr. Melvin grew up in Rochester where he attended high school at Greece Athena and UPrep. The standout guard committed to play for Monroe Community College for his first two years of college basketball (2021-23). After two years of being recognized as a NJCAA all-american, Council committed to Wagner.At Wagner, Melvin led Wagner to their first conference championship since 2003. Council was named 1st-team All-NEC during a campaign averaging 14.9 points and 5.7 assists. Melvin's name began to buzz after leading Wagner, as a #6 seed, to a conference championship. After winning the NEC, Wagner had to play in the First Four game in the NCAA tournament. Council had a historic performance to lead his team to victory over Howard. In just one season playing in the NEC, the Wagner star entered the transfer portal.The rising senior heard from plenty of high major schools after his run during March Madness. Council ended up committing to St. Bonaventure to play in the A-10.
