This episode is a must-listen for exclusive pumpers, working moms, or just any mom who spends a day or a weekend away from their baby. My question for you is: Do we treat breastmilk like it's too frail or fragile? Right now the recommendation is to only mix breastmilk of the same temperature. That means that freshly pumped milk must be chilled before it can be mixed with other breastmilk. What does the research actually show? This info is going to make your life sooo much easier.Want to read more about the research done by the previous guest Dr. Trill? My guest today, Lisa Goldberg, is a nutritionist with a specific expertise in understanding the mind-body connection to eating. As a weight loss coach, she speaks a lot about emotional eating in her practice. And today, we are really going to unpack the many different facets and features that we need to address if we're going to start to break the cycle of emotional eating.   For people who have experienced diets on and off their entire lives, this interview is entirely for you. Not only do we talk about the mindset pieces that need to be in place to break the pattern of how we are eating and how we are engaging in our relationship with food, but we also start to break down some of the tactics, techniques, and conversation starters as we engage with our family of origin with respect to how we are eating and how we are choosing to honor ourselves going forward.   Lisa's philosophy is really simple: it's not about having a specific diet to lose weight; it's about addressing your relationship with food. If this is something that you've always been curious about, I promise you will not be disappointed in today's conversation!   Key Takeaways: [1:38] About today's episode with Lisa Goldberg! [13:15] How self-worth plays a part in how we eat. [17:20] How does Lisa have conversations with first-time clients? [18:33] Lisa breaks down the connection between self-worth and mindful/intuitive eating. Most people know about the common resources: job aggregation sites like Indeed or LinkedIn, company websites, perhaps some niche job boards for specific industries.  One of the resources available that not everyone utilizes is developing relationships with recruiters. Recruiters, also known as headhunters, are people who help individuals find great jobs in exchange for being paid a “finders fee” by the company. In a lot of ways, recruiters can be a fabulous resource for you in your search, as long as you know exactly what you're looking for and you present like a great candidate for those roles. About Lisa Dregne Lisa Dregne founded Yorkshire Insurance Advisors, LLC after being in the industry for seven years and she saw a need to provide individuals, couples and small businesses with comprehensive insurance planning either directly, or preferably in collaboration with their financial advisor, CPA or attorney. Although all areas of insurance are equally important to Lisa, her passion has been working with individuals/families on their long-term care planning.   Has the ability to purchase insurance online replaced the need for an independent professional? “Definitely not. Um, and that's a common misconception is that insurance is a commodity, that it's the same no matter where you get it.”   Do business cards still have a place in marketing yourself? “Absolutely. And the reason I say that as I've gotten a lot of feedback from, individuals that I've been working with, colleagues that they really like my business card, they actually remembered me.”   Have you used LinkedIn to help you network? “It's actually been my number one resource for networking past those initial people that you already knew.”   Can you share with me your most successful or favorite networking story/experience that you’ve had? “My favorite one, it was actually about a month ago is how it initiated with somebody. I had used to work with an advisor, and we got together for coffee at Starbucks, my favorite place to get together…”   How do you stay in front of or best nurture your network community? “So, as I build my network, I am looking to try and at least keep in touch with the prospects, the best prospects once a month on with a personal touch, whether it's a phone call or an email, just with some tidbit of information I think would be helpful.”   What advice do you have for the professional on growing their network? “I guess leverage the relationships you have and don't be afraid to ask for those names and referrals primarily because if you are passionate about what you do and you believe in what you do, other people will help you.”   Digital networking or traditional networking? “Definitely the traditional networking in my particular space, insurance planning is a very personal thing. I'm also a certified financial planner, meaning that I've got that financial background.”   If you could go back 20 years, what would you tell yourself to do more or less of regarding your career? “That was an easy one. Now that I've found my passion, I really wish I had looked for my passion sooner. I ended up coming back to the state of Wisconsin…”   What book are you reading right now? “I primarily read. There's a journal for long term care insurance specifically in it. It gives a lot of wonderful stories and helpful tips on how to present long term care to clients in a way that doesn't make it sound like you're selling something. Just pure education.”   Any final words of advice for our listeners? “Never stop. Don't be afraid of it. I was in the beginning and now it's just so much fun. I have loved meeting so many different individuals and just networking. It's, it's funny, it ends up being a pretty small world the more you do it.”   You can get in contact with Lisa at: LinkedIn: Click Here Phone: (262) 366-2702 Email: Lisa@yorkshireinsurance.com

As entrepreneurs, we face a litany of mental challenges that can derail our business. Not to mention the external challenges we face. If we’re not battling our own self doubt, loneliness and overwhelm, we’re dealing with non-entrepreneurs who wonder why we don’t just ‘get a job.’ My guest on the podcast this episode has been an entrepreneur for several decades, successfully running a variety of businesses in health, marketing, and now in personal development. She knows these challenges first hand and through the eyes of her clients. But she says, there is one thing that keeps her on track. One thing that can keep any entrepreneur on track, no matter how many challenges they face. In this episode, she reveals how you can develop a practice of inquiry that will lead you to that one thing. Lisa Engels is passionate about helping conscious entrepreneurs find their purpose so that they can serve humanity with their gifts. She is a social evolutionary working toward a new humanity that is free and expansive. In addition to her coaching and mentoring (through InnerStateCoaching.com), she is also the Marketing Directory for the Center for Integral Wisdom and co-hosts a weekly livestream program called Evolutionary Church. In this episode of the Brilliant You Podcast, we dive right into recognizing and overcoming the challenges entrepreneurs face. We explore the dichotomy of the American Dream and the reality of running your own business. Lisa shares her views on how the desire to make a difference can sometimes get lost along the rocky road of entrepreneurism. And, how we can let go of our ego to find our way back to contributing to the greater whole in a way that only we, as individuals, can do. By the end of this episode, you’ll know the one thing you need to discover in order for you to be the entrepreneur you’ve always wanted to be. Plus, how to use the practice of inquiry to discover it. This is how you’ll step into your unique power as a powerhouse woman.
