Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this episode, I'm joined by Lurch, and we review the released 2024 Harley-Davidson Models. We also give our predictions about what may or may not be released on January 24, 2024. Harley is doing a virtual launch event on the 24th at 10 AM CST. You can sign up for the event HERE. We will put out a video and podcast following the virtual launch on the 24th. Harley released some of the 2024 models via the website recently. These are the bikes that are carryovers from 2023. Our belief is they did this to keep dealers stocked with new bikes. You see, in 2023 there were a couple of production shutdowns. One was related to a defective brake line from a third-party provider and the other was due to a parts shortage. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE Missing models (as of the date of this recording) from the 2024 lineup are the Fat Bob 114, all CVO models, all Street Glide models, all Road Glide models except the Limited, and the Pan America standard model. So, one can infer there is going to be something new with the touring models and perhaps the Fat Bob 114. Ryan predicts the 107 Milwaukee 8 motor will be no more after this year. He believes the 114" VVT motor will be in the special models along with the new dash and fairings. He believes the standards will have the older Boom Box GTS unit and a smaller motor. Ryan also believes that Harley will come out with a King of the Bagger model that is more track-ready than the ST models. Lurch and Ryan predict that there will be a mid-sized Pan America. Lastly, Ryan predicts that the long-awaited Bronx Street Fighter will come out sometime in 2024. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! Lurch predicts the standard models of the Street Glide and Road Glide may be cut. Last year there were many models of the Glides including the standard, specials, limited, STs, and CVOs. That is a lot of models and in his opinion, the higher-level models are more coveted. The standard glides not being a part of the pre-launch spurred Lurch's prediction. Harley removed the surcharge imposed on new motorcycle sales. The surcharge was instituted in July 2021 to combat production and shipping costs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the surcharge cancellation, a couple of models were slightly reduced in price; those being the Nightster and the Nightster Special. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com On January 18, 2023, the Harley-Davidson New 2023 Models were released. This included seven anniversary models, two new models, and the return of one model. In this episode, we wrapped up everything we learned and put it into a nice package for you. See our video on the topic! Anniversary Models The first six of the seven total anniversary models share a unique paint scheme described as Heirloom Red with a Midnight Crimson Fade and highlighted powertrain components. These models will have oxblood-colored inserts on the seats. And, the Anniversary models sharing this paint scheme are the Ultra Limited, Tri Glide Ultra, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, Fat Boy, and Heritage Classic. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE The seventh Anniversary Model is the CVO Road Glide Limited, being the only anniversary model with the larger 117 Cubic Inch M8 engine. Its paint is a bit different and can be described as Anniversary Black and Midnight Crimson fade. And when viewed in the sun there is a red highlight to the black. A subdued eagle split up between the fairing, tank, and bags. Generally speaking, only about 3,000 to 1100 of each anniversary model will be released and they'll all have serialized consoles. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! NEW MODELS The Breakout is returning to the lineup with that beautiful Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine. This bike will have a very wide rear tire, coming in at 240mm, a 5-gallon gas tank, and a 36-degree front rake, which makes it a long, low, wide, modern cruiser. The Nightster Special is the next new model for 2023. What's so “Special” about this new Nightster? To start, it has a passenger pillion and footpegs to allow two-up riding. The handlebars and risers move the bars up and back for a more commanding rider position. It has a four-inch round TFT display, replacing the analog speedometer and segmented LCD indicators, allowing for BlueTooth connectivity and navigation. The Nightster Special is coming standard with cruise control, USB charging port, and you can add heated grips. This new model is going to be a surprise for some. And for many out there, it is a long time coming. It is the all-new Road Glide 3 Trike. I'm going to say right up front that even if you've never been interested in trikes, this one is sure to turn your head a bit. Many riders have requested a Road Gide trike for years now and it looks like Harley made it happen. A lot of engineering went into making the first Harley trike with a frame-mounted fairing including things like the placement of the fairing to accommodate the long rake and steering dampening of the trike. Help support us please if you appreciate what we're doing to help bikers. Neti Pot mentioned by Lurch in this episode NEW FREE VIDEO RELEASED: How To Remove The Forks On A Harley-Davidson Touring Motorcycle-DIY Video RIDER SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS Traction Control Systems will be offered as a new option for the Breakout, Low Rider S, and Low Rider ST models in 2023. Electronic cruise control will be a standard feature for the Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Breakout, and Low Rider S models. It remains standard on the Low Rider ST, Heritage Classic, and Sport Glide models. 120th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION The Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration Event is scheduled for July 13-16, 2023, in Milwaukee. Harley informed us that this will become an annual event in Milwaukee. Homecoming events will take place at venues across the Milwaukee area facilities and who knows, maybe we'll see ya all there. It’s the sweet sixteen episode of Living Off THE LAND! So let’s cut to the chase -- this episode is bittersweet. We have some really excited news, and some sad news. The good news is we will have a website with written content very soon. Jordan is working this weekend with our friend Mike on setting that up. We’ll also soon have business cards to distribute...more on that soon. Now for the sad news: our food expert and chef member, Paul, will be leaving the podcast after this episode. There is no bad beef or hard feelings; this is simply a decision Paul made in response to some other projects he’s working on in his life. We’ll all certainly miss him, but he also expects to be a guest in future episodes. After these announcements, we hop into the never-ending spiral that is the LeBron free agency talk. So many things come into play to determine where he goes: What happens with Kawhii? Are the Cavs’ still in on Kemba? Is there any possibility for Boogie Cousins? Collin Sexton’s role...the list goes on and on. We try to make sense of the chaos and we make our predictions if he’s staying or going. Once the dust from the LeBron talk settles, we move onto the Tribe, who are heating up after a 7-game win streak. Kipnis is hot again, we got Beiber fever, and how about J-Ram? Could he be an AL MVP candidate? Next up is our restaurant and bar reviews. We tackle the ever-growing Market Garden Brewery in Ohio City, with it’s awesome Cleveland Guardian’s logo and their delicious brews. Do they have one of the best beers of all time? Check in to find out. Next we briefly discuss an upscale joint in Lakewood that has a 5-star patio. But is it worth your time? For pizza, Dan gives us the scoop on Fat Bob’s Pizza -- which just might have one of the better crusts in The Land. We wrap things up with event previews of World Cup watch parties at Old Angle Tavern, a free Jazz Festival (http://www.tri-c.edu/jazzfest/index.html), Fairview Park Summerfest (https://fairviewsummerfest.com/) and a roundup of the best Independence Day firework shows.

CLICK HERE FOR THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER WEBISTE PODCAST-So, we ask the question what is going happen to you when you die? Do you have plans and have you told your loved ones what your wishes are as a motorcycle enthusiast? Do you want to be cremated or better yet; buried on you beloved Harley Davidson? We discuss an Ohio man whose wishes were to be buried on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Well, his wishes came true and I must say it might not be politically correct in some eyes. We say good for him and he rode his Harley through those pearly gates as he wished. Is it weird or creepy? You make the call on this one. This episode is packed with a ton of other topics and emails, so you best listen up. MECHANICSBURG, Ohio — An Ohio man got his wish last week – to be buried upright on his 1967 motorcycle. Billy Standley can be seen on his bike in a plexiglass casket. He started planning the burial 18 years ago. It took five embalmers, three extra burial plots and wood steel reinforcements to make it happen. Standley also wanted an outdoor funeral so his biker friends could see him off. His children said the motorcycle helped him keep a sense of adventure after he settled down to raise four kids. The Law Abiding Biker/Motorcycle Podcast & Media will be celebrating our one year anniversary on our next episode, so stay tuned! The first Law Abiding Biker Podcast episode was aired on March 16, 2013. We will be releasing a celebratory episode on March 16, 2014! You won't want to miss this one for certain! We have grown and it is due to all our loyal listeners, supporters, & bikeaholics out there. We could not have done it without you. The BRAND NEW "Complete Harley Davidson Ride Planner & GPS Guide" tutorial video is out sooner than anticipated! You must listen to the episode and sign up for the FREE Law Abiding Biker Email Club to get special discount codes and be the first to know about all the FREE videos we put out. We go over several emails we have received: .1) In reference to the FREE video at: www.LawAbidingBiker.com/TwinSlashRounds From Joe: "Am I reading this right? You ALREADY had the cat removed and new headers installed BEFORE you swapped out the mufflers?? Im asking because I’d like to change the sound of my 2013 ultra classic but do not want to put in the headers right now. The Slash rounds sound great on your sg but I'm thinking that's due mainly to the opened headers?? I’d love to get rid of the sewing machine sound on the stock pipes but not at the cost of re-mapping right now." Response: "Joe; Having the cats out will improve sound some. The significant change is getting rid of the stock muffler. Having the cats benefits performance more than sound. I hope that answered your question. I’ve heard the Twin Slash Rounds on Harleys with cats still in. They sound much better than the stock pipes. They really suffocate the bike with those stock mufflers. Ride Safe!" 2.) Thanks to all the Europe listeners and supporters! From Rick of Europe: "Hey Guy's, I just wanted to Thank You for the great videos... I bought my first Harley(fat bob) a while back and love it..great ride. I'm originally from Western Washington but now live over in Europe..your videos are very popular on this end!!. Just wanted to tell ya Thank you once again and keep up the great work." 3.) In response to 2 FREE videos: The Review blog and video on the Vance and Hines Dresser Twin Slash Duals we did. (headphones required to truly evaluate pipe sounds). http://lawabidingbiker.com/twinslashrounds/ The review blog and video we did on the 2014 Harley Street Glide Special: www.LawAbidingBiker.com/2014StreetGlideSpecial From Michael Allen: "First of all, good job on the Street Glide Special videos. I am picking mine up in June and your videos are awesome. I have a Fat Bob with Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2. I love the sound of them. I am looking for a pipe combination for my new street glide and am looking at the Vance and Hines power duals in Black. I am also looking at the Vance and Hines Blackout Rounds or the Rhinhart 4 inch rounds. Do you have any experience with this combination? I am looking for stereo compatible pipes that do not sacrifice much of the loud pipe design like that of the Big Radius. Would like the Big Shot Duals, but they do not offer it in black for the 2014 touring models. Thanks for your time." Response: "Thanks for the feedback brother! I ran V&H True Duals on my 2011 Harley Street Glide and had no problems hearing my stereo, as the exhaust sound was behind me. Now, the guys riding behind me weren't all that thrilled about my pipes, but heck I heard my stereo fine....LOL. I also ran the V&H Big Radius on my Harley Wide Glide and I absolutely loved their look and sound, but I did not have a stereo. I'm super stoked that you are getting a new SGS!! You are absolutely going to love it bro. My opinion is that you will be fine with the V&H Big Shot Duals or V&H black out Rounds or the Rhinhart 4 inch Rounds. Point is that the sound will be behind you from my experience and it won't affect you in hearing your stereo." 4.) Don't complain if you live in the United States: From John O Keeffe of Ireland: "Just listened to your latest podcast! Great show. Just a little info for you.
