Welcome to another episode of Fit Chic for Life! Today, Natalie talks with Val Voboril. Val is a CrossFit Games athlete who is able to balance it all: fitness, work, family, and fun. She explains more about her life and routine and how her goals have evolved: fitness for her used to feel like super hard work and almost like a “chore”, today Val handles the gym with much more grace and fun. She also talks about important aspects that make fitness happen for her: not obsessing over food and maintaining a healthy but very enjoyable diet, respecting her body and knowing when it's time to level up and when it's time to let go, being smart with her training sessions even when she doesn't feel like training at all, and trying not to compare herself with other professionals. When we are trying to adopt new habits and create new actions that will help us achieve our goals, the first thing we try to do is DO the thing. Overnight and all of a sudden, we try to eat healthier, not obsess about our bodies anymore, start reading, start drinking more water, or whatever it is we want to start doing. It just doesn't work that way: we first need to recognize what prevented us to change in the first place. In this new episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie dives deep into what we can do to identify these ‘limiting beliefs' and ‘attachments' and how to effectively break them. By getting rid of these patterns, it's going to be easier to become a new and more aligned version of yourself, and the goals will be easily met as well. Tune in! “If we continue to do what we have always done, we will get what we have always gotten. Nothing will change. So we must be willing to fundamentally allow everything that we know to change, and that is scary.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! Diet culture has so many of us feeling like we have a complicated relationship with food. So many people have been dealing with eating disorders for many years, and they got to a point where ‘struggling' and ‘suffering' have became their identity. This mentality makes it hard to change, which makes you stay in the same place, which turns into a cycle. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie welcomes Molly Carmel. Molly is a food addiction therapist and author of ‘Breaking Up with Sugar'. She has been devoting her time to helping people to break up their disruptive relationships with food. Having gone through eating disorders herself, Molly shares in this episode the ‘guidelines' and the necessary self-development work that one has to do to get free from vicious patterns with food. “If you have been harming yourself with food or with an unhealthy relationship with food for a really long time, it might mean that it takes, not a really long time, but some time to come out of that.” – Molly Carmel Connect with Molly! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie connects with Emily Abbott. Emily has an incredible background with CrossFit and has a lot of knowledge about nutrition, mindset, and how to stay fit with freedom and balance. Being an athlete doesn't always mean you need to be extremely strict with diet and exercise. Emily is living proof that you can achieve your goals without sacrificing everything. Emily also shares how she has been reconnecting with her feminine side recently. Ever since she has rediscovered this other side of her, she has been feeling more at ease: enjoying her free time, relaxing in the moment, grounding herself more frequently, and learning everything she can about her mind and body. Emily runs several retreats for other women looking to do the same. Tune in to learn more! “Anything you go through, it's all unfolding as it should. Welcome to another episode of FitChic for Life. Today, Natalie shares special tips and strategies to achieve your fitness goals from a place of intuition, instead of an obsession. It's really common for people who want to take better care of their health to get caught up with tracking calories, tracking steps, and obsessing over exercise. But, it doesn't need to be that way. In fact, it can lead to anxiety and feelings of overwhelm. “Surrender” is the keyword to be able to do this, and Natalie explains that is not happening overnight and it's not going to be easy. The body and the mind are too used to following all the rules. Wouldn't it be better to pursue your goals with ease and only because it feels good? Sit with yourself, ask yourself this question, and try to visualize your goals from a different perspective! “To get to that place where we want to be, we're going to have to let go of that attachment, to that false sense of safety. And when we do that, it's going to feel scary, and wrong, and uncomfortable because our impulse is going to call us to want to follow the diet plan, the gym plan, or whatever used to work for us.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie shares with the listeners the greatest exercises to do when it comes to belly fat burn. We all know – and Natalie shares this a lot on this podcast – that some factors like stress and sleep quality, impact fat loss. However, we can't forget about the exercise portion of it. Especially for women over 35: the activities that once worked, don't work anymore but that can be reversed. Natalie also dives deep into two very important topics: 1) Working harder doesn't mean working smarter and the “go go go” mentality can be stressful and delay your results. 2) Stress and food can get you in a lopping state that is hard to get out from. When we feel stressed, we seek out food and when we binge on food, we get into a stressed state. Tune in to learn more! “Stress is the thing that is blocking women from seeing results in the gym or seeing results from their diet, so you can be eating well and working out perfectly but none of that will work if the body is stressed out, whether it be physically or mentally.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie shares the best tips and strategies – as well as a very thorough explanation behind them – on how to get rid of belly fat. Especially for women, the way we lose fat, lose weight, and change our bodies, transforms over time. The practices that once worked, sometimes don't work anymore and that's completely normal: the same way we age, our body ages as well. Natalie explains that despite being a crucial part of the weight loss journey, counting macros and focusing on calories might not be enough to get results. It's also important to pay attention to a few other things: managing stress throughout the day, getting good nights of sleep, hydrating, and, most importantly, hormones. Hormonal imbalance is a huge component of this and Natalie debriefs this topic today. Tune in! “If you learn how to control your nervous system and you learn how to direct your mind, instead of letting your mind and your nervous system control you […] all of a sudden your body naturally starts to let go of the weight that is clinging to.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! 90% of our thoughts are the same thoughts as the day prior. This data is impressive: if we have the same thoughts, we end up having the same behaviors, and the same actions, with the same results. This constant is what makes our life get into a routine. Although routines are very important in terms of organization and structure, how can we do some things differently and eventually bring more joy into our lives? In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie dives deep into this concept of ‘breaking routines, finding freedom, and enjoying life no matter what. When we think about our daily tasks, the work we need to do, the food we need to eat, the people we need to meet, or even the workout we need to get done, it's easy to think negatively about those things – we've done it over and over, right? At this moment, ask yourself the question: ‘How can I do this same thing in a more fun, refreshing, and joyful way?' “If we find ourselves stuck in that routine, that mundane existence of life, just getting through the day, going through the motion… to me that's death. That is a slow decline. That's when we are not going through life as though we are living it anymore” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! Instagram: @natalie.newhart Work with me: calendly.com/natalienewhart/workwithme Website: fitaddictednutrition.com
Self-sabotage is the feeling that comes to the surface when we don't ‘stick to the plan'. But it's important to analyze this feeling from a different angle: is there such a thing as self-sabotage? Surely, we don't avoid doing things that are good for us because we want to. We don't skip the gym, eat the chocolate, and skip meditation because we want to. There's a more powerful force behind these decisions: our mind. In this episode, Natalie dives deep into this concept, explaining that our mind sometimes plays trick on us and make us do things that – deep down – we don't want to be doing. Natalie explains that it's almost like a game of battling our minds and our emotions and forcing ourselves to ‘stick to the plan'. Self-sabotage then becomes an unreal idea, by practicing self-mastery we will start showing our minds who is the boss. Tune in! “Regardless of that goal that you have, in terms of motivating yourself to action, do you think it's going to be more supportive to be on the lower spectrum of those emotional states or on the higher spectrum of those emotional states?” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie interviews Monk Shi Miao Hai at the Shaolin Temple. They talk about many important concepts to create a high level of consciousness in our lives. We achieve this level by being aware of our thoughts, actions, and behaviors. The more we spend time in our heads, worrying and thinking thoughts that will lead us to places we don't want to go, the harder it will be to change. Another aspect of the conversation is about ‘repeating patterns'. The idea that ‘nothing changes if you don't change' is very well spread nowadays and people don't have a hard time understanding the theory, but in practice the story is different. Monk Shi Miao Hai highlights how fundamental it is to stop reproducing old patterns because the first step to changing your reality is changing your personality. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie interviews Ema Rocket who is a student at Shaolin Temple. Ema talks about many concepts with a special focus on the importance of "just be". According to Ema, we all need to try a little more to just enjoy the moment and quit the mentality that everything has to have an end goal. Her own journey at the temple has no goal and she tells us she is just learning, observing, and being. With a background on movement, Ema also explains that a relaxation state helps with body function too. The secret to having a body with no pain is relaxing into the movement even if you move every day. This idea applies to someone who works out a lot, for example. In addition, Ema talks about nutrition and how good it is to eat food that makes us good – even foods that are not considered "healthy". “There is a fine line between trying to become the best you can become and judging yourself constantly.” – Ema Rocket Episode Resources Contact Ema at journeyintooneself@gmail.com Follow Shaolin Temple Europe on Instagram: @shaolintempleeurope Learn more about Shaolin Temple Europe: www.shaolintemple.eu Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie interviews Monk Shen Dojo. As a follow-up to the previous episode, they talk about enlightenment, the importance of staying present at the current moment, and how the mind tricks us into thinking about something else rather than what we are experiencing. Monk Shen also speaks about his background and the reasons that inspired him to become a monk. With a past in martial arts and fitness, Shen explains that life in a monastery has made him more focused on the important things and less stressed about life because now he has more structure – which sometimes can ease the body and the mind. According to Shen, the biggest lesson of this experience is seeing everything changing – he finally let go of control. In this special episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie interviews Shi Miao Qing who is a monk at the Shaolin Temple in Europe. In this conversation, Shi Miao speaks about the importance of balancing work and rest, observing the mind, and creating the practice of training the mind to help the body perform better. He also sheds some light on resting. Resting is a fundamental key to relaxing the mind and living a better life. In terms of training, Shi Miao explains that during a training routine when the body is burning and almost giving up, the mind can come into place and help the body to unblock its limitations and do more. You will also learn the concept of self-mastery (not listening to the mind and being a master over your thoughts). Shi Miao also speaks briefly about his past with anxiety and panic attacks and how he overcame them. “Don't fight the mind. If you fight the mind you're already locked in, and then you'll give up. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie talks about the idea of putting ourselves on the top of our to-do lists. It's really easy to feel overwhelmed with several tasks and activities that we think need to be done by the end of the day. It's also easy not to know which one we should prioritize and taking care of ourselves can really be dragged down to the bottom of the list. Why don't we choose ourselves first? Natalie shares her morning routine and which tasks are non-negotiable for her to feel her best, have energy throughout the day, and be productive personally and with business. If you are feeling the need to take a breath, stop for a moment, and reenergize somehow, don't feel guilty about it. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie talks about how fundamental it is to be aware and pay attention to the way we talk to ourselves and to the words we use to think about things. Using the gym as an example, you might think about the workout as something draining, super hard, and a part of the day you just want to ‘get over with'. If you use these words when thinking about the workout, there's absolutely zero chance that it will actually be an enjoyable experience, right? We can apply this concept to many areas of life like work, relationships, house tasks… but the main focus here is health. Also, the way we think about diet on a daily basis can be improved with the right self-talk. We can view foods as a source of nourishment and wellness or as a source of stress and restriction. Approaching things with the right talk, the right descriptions, and the right mentality is key to living a stress-free lifestyle. “The person that is working out every single day and actually enjoying it, they have a particular way of thinking about the gym, thinking about the body, they have a particular conversation that's going on inside them. Likewise, the person that is compassionate with the people in their life and has really meaningful relationships, that person shows up a particular way… not just because that shows who they are, but because they've trained themselves – whether knowingly or unknowingly – to think a certain way.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie helps you train your mind to live in the present moment and stop worrying about future things. Focusing on what we're doing in this moment, enjoying whatever is happening right now, paying attention to the details of where we are, and actually being with the people that are with us are all things we can do to be fully present, and it gets easier with practice. Natalie also makes a parallel between the weather inside of us and the weather outside of us. Just like the stormy clouds and the grey sky cover the sun, the sadness, anxiety, and depression cover the true and bright feelings that exist in our core: happiness, gratitude, and joy. The majority of the time we feel these inferior feelings because a) we are worrying about what's coming next; b) we are not savoring the present, and c) we are not even aware of it. Let's practice awareness! “When the mind is still and we're connected to the present moment, there's going to be that sense of peace. There's going to be our natural state. Just like you go above the clouds, and the sun is always there.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, you will listen to some techniques and mindset shifts you can implement today to get rid of attachments. When we are attached to something or to a certain ‘way' of how things should be done, we become enslaved to this thing or to this way. In terms of fitness, food, and health, these attachments can exist on a large scale and on a daily basis – which makes living life really hard. Besides the notion of attachments and how they can be the root of a lot of suffering, Natalie also sheds light on the difference between attachment and connection. While the former can make us tired and drained with so many ‘to dos', the latter is a healthier and easier type of bond. If you're finding yourself ‘having to' train super hard every day or track food every day, maybe it's time to go easy on yourself. “It's a good thing when it feels good and we have that freedom inside of it, but as soon as we feel it has to be done a certain way and it's creating more destruction, then it's leading to suffering.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie talks about the most important component that women need to take into account when aiming for fat loss. This one thing is the most crucial thing and people should be paying more attention to it, but no one is doing it. There's no doubt that a well balanced diet and a training routine play a major role on this process, but this specific thing makes all the difference. A well balanced diet, enriched with nutrients and micronutrients is fundamental for fat loss. As well as being active. But the #1 factor that prevents women over 35 – and is probably preventing you too if you're reading this – is not something people speak a lot about. In this episode, Natalie also explains the science behind the fact that weight loss gets harder with time and why the habits that made you lose fat in the past, might not be working today. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie highlights the importance of feeling “gratitude”. At all times and for no reason, the action of feeling gratitude for the big things and for the small things is a big component to take better care of our health. When we feel gratitude, we let go of feelings of stress, fear, and anxiety… and getting rid of these useless feelings is the first step to start changing our bodies. A fat loss journey involves several factors to actually work. Stress is one of the most important factors, especially for women over 35. If we let our minds and our hearts feel stressed all the time, there is no diet in the world that will work. Practice gratitude, start small, start today, look around, write 3 things that you're grateful for, and if done consistently, this practice will create unbelievable transformations. “Be grateful for who you can become and what you have yet to discover in this life.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In this episode, Natalie gives you practical tips and different perspectives on how to have more self-control around food. It's really interesting that we need additional encouragement to have more self-control with food and the theoretical stuff doesn't always work, right? We are practical human beings who need practical solutions for the problems we are dealing with, and here you will find hands-on strategies. Natalie highlights the importance of 3 different tools in order to create this sense of sufficiency and satiety when it's meal time. For some people, food has this kind of magical power to keep calling us – especially if we are struggling with problems in other areas of life. But, it's important to understand that food is not the answer, food is not a reward, and so we shouldn't praise it. It's a way to nourish and maintain our body functioning properly. “The body doesn't know and doesn't have a good understanding of when it's hungry. So, we end up eating more frequently than we actually need because if the body is always stressed out what happens is these communications become really disrupted.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! Welcome to this week's episode of FitChic for Life. As a follow up to the previous episode, Natalie takes you through the possible answers of why you may have difficulties dealing with impulsive and emotional eating. The same disruptive feelings that we once felt connecting with something (or some type of food) can reappear if we find ourselves in the same situation. The only way to break this cycle is being aware of it, constantly. Natalie explains that in order to break the cycle, you need to first use the technique of creating a vision and seeing yourself already changing, already experiencing acting differently, already feeling the feeling of doing it in a new way. This technique, used in the work Natalie does with her clients, if done consistently, can catalyze you to true change and can be implemented to assist you in many other areas. Welcome to this week's episode of FitChic for Life. In this first episode of a two-part series, Natalie dives deep into the possible explanations of why some people cannot fix impulsive and emotional eating and how this problem connects with memories and feelings from the past. This is a concept that is easily applied to all areas of life because we all at some point suffered some type of trauma that guides our current actions. Natalie gives you the tools and the foundation you need in order to start making changes. If you find yourself obsessing over your body, your training, your diet, and your self-image in general, this practice will give you much more consciousness of the reasons why you reproduce this obsessive behavior. Natalie helps you identify the emotion associated with the behavior and how to modify it. Stay tuned for part 2! “That's why the majority of the time we set out to get in great shape, or just create that body that we want, or eat better, or take better care of ourselves, many times we typically fail – because the ‘why' of doing it. The ‘why' of doing it is not in a place of strength.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! Instagram: @natalie.newhart Work With Me: calendly.com/natalienewhart Website: FitAddictedNutrition.com
The concept of lower mind reflects the need to experiment with situations that will bring temporary happiness and joy, but that eventually will fade away. The lower mind is conducted by the ego, by mundane desires, and by unhealthy attachments. The higher mind, on the other hand, knows that these wonderful feelings of happiness, joy, and inner peace can be felt separately from the small, constant obsessions. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie dives deep into the idea that looking for happy feelings in temporary habits is not the answer to keep feeling happy. This empty pursuit is just not the answer to stop feeling unfulfilled, on the contrary, it just keeps pushing us into feeling more and more like this. Because guess what? The temporary excitement goes away and what stays is the sensation of “it was not enough”. “In that moment of offering yourself as your true nature of love and peace, there will be nothing that you actually need.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! Instagram: @natalie.newhart YouTube: Natalie Newhart Website: FitAddictedNutrition.com
Make no mistake: the little things that make our day are more than enough to give us a sense of gratitude. We don't need anything more than we already have in order to be happy. We don't need more money, more income, a better place to live, a better body, more clients, more status… If we keep looking for more and more we'll always feel like we have less and less. That is the first step to living an unfulfilled life. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie talks about the great blessing that is life and the great blessing that is the fact that we are living this moment today, breathing this air today, and having the chance to experience the many attributions and benefits of life. When we stop waiting for ‘this' or ‘that' to happen in order to feel satisfied and joyful, we start appreciating the fact that everything is already here. How good does it feel when I feel calm and at ease? That is one of the questions we should be asking ourselves constantly if we feel overwhelmed with our own expectations. Being obsessed about any topic, such as the gym, your job, food, your self-image, your relationships… it can be really draining and tiring. Wouldn't it be so much better to create a different result by dropping the obsessive behavior? In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie explains that you are just one action away from achieving your goals. The truth is you already know what you need to know in order to change. You already have all the information, all the tactics, all the strategy, and the details that will take you to the other side. The only thing missing is: momentum. Stop rationalizing, imagine yourself in the finishing line, and go for it. “Knowing what to do to achieve the goal that you're looking for – whatever that goal is – is not the problem. Where people fall short from achieving their goals is getting themselves to do the things when they don't really feel like doing it.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! New studies have been showing that women and men should have different approaches when it comes to diet and exercise. The male physiology is much simpler and with fewer variables than the female physiology, and that affects many aspects of how an exercise program should be created and how a diet philosophy should be followed. This inconsistency plays a major role specifically on weight loss goals. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie gives you a science-based explanation on the specificities of both male and female bodies, highlighting that over time what once worked for women in their 20s and 25s, simply doesn't work anymore in their 35s and 40s – which doesn't happen with men. Natalie also talks about the menstrual cycle factor and the huge impact that stress and stress symptoms cause for women. Tune in! “Men and women are different. On the process of creating something outstanding (new habits, new thought patterns, new actions, or an entire new version of you) one thing is definitely going to happen: you will be afraid. Listen to this episode of FitChic for Life as Natalie takes you through a powerful message on energy, alignment, and creating your chosen reality. We often think reality happens to us and we have no control over the circumstances, but it's important to believe that our mind and the energy we embody has a lot of strength and can do wonders. Energy is emotion and emotions are a result of our creations. In order to elevate our way of being and increase the emotional frequency we emanate to the world, we need to have a positive attitude towards our thinking, acting, and feeling. In addition to that, the mind has a way to transfer energy to tangible things, so our environment, the situations in our life, and the things we encounter along our journey are just consequences. What are you creating on a daily basis? “Emotion is the foundation of everything we create.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! In today's episode, Natalie has a special message for anyone struggling with taking action in order to create changes in life. Why not make 2022 a year different from the previous years? Why not take the first step to become the best version of you today? Why not put into practice now, the vision of your best life? Life happens as we are living it, and wasting one more minute is a guarantee of regret later. Natalie also talks about the importance of acting differently every time we have a chance to and not letting our trained inner pattern to take over our life and goals. If we continue to keep giving in to this inner program that works like a computer, we lose spontaneity, we lose opportunities, and we, unconsciously, keep waking up to live the same day. Give it a listen if you also need to transform your vision into daily action! “Vision is that thing that inspires us, it ignites passion. In this episode of FitChic for Life, Natalie motivates you to step out of your comfort zone of being the same person, and instead of reacting to life, choose how you want to live. Choose a new way of showing up in life and have the awareness to ask yourself what new way of being aligns with the results you want to achieve, the feelings you want to experience, and the state in which you want to navigate through your journey. “A path of true growth is not always an easy path, is not always comfortable, and it doesn't always feel good.” – Natalie Newhart Connect with Natalie! The buzz: Soon there will be entire American football league built on the premise that fans should be able to choose the players and coaches that make up each of the eight inaugural teams and even pick the teams' offensive plays. The innovative league is based on the belief that fans will enjoy a product that feels more like a video game than a traditional football-watching experience.” When Darren Heitner reported this in 2017 for Forbes SportsMoney, he was talking about the new Fan Controlled Football League (FCFL) powered on the Ethereum blockchain. Wow! The league ranks fans' voting power for drafting players, picking coaches and calling the plays by the seven-on-seven teams on the field – using a new FAN Token cryptocurrency. Prognosis? In the second half of fantasy Tinder, the guys finish filling their lineups by “swiping right” on the players with ambiguously attractive profiles. Fantasy Tinder brings out the worst (and most superficial) side of the guys in their pursuit of the perfect match. James nearly sneaks a future Hall Of Famer through on a technicality, and Travis puts on a clinic on making a good running back sound bad… then defends the notion that the running back really is bad! John has an eye for quarterbacks, James is all in on two teams with young signal-callers, and Travis can spot a catfish from a mile away… but still can't bring himself to swipe left! In this follow-up to Wednesday's episode, the gang is swiping their way to (lineups they) love! ***Don't forget to pre-order the Devy Watch at dynastyfootballfactory.com; the price goes up after the release, and it's in the final stages before distribution! Tinder meets dynasty football! Just like the infamous “dating” app, the guys are using incomplete and superficial information to build a dynasty superflex lineup, swiping right on the players who make a strong impression with limited information and swiping left on players who just aren't statistically photogenic. Like a bikini picture or a buzzword-laced profile, surface-level information is just easier to analyze… but can the SuperFlex SuperFriends use it to find the perfect match at quarterback or fall in love with a young running back, flaws and all? Swipe right on the Super Flexible podcast to find out! ***Don't forget to pre-order the Devy Watch at dynastyfootballfactory.com; the price goes up after the release, and it's in the final stages before distribution! With NFL free agency winding down, the gang checks in on dynasty trade values after all of the free agency movement. Twitter trade polls involving Jerick McKinnon, Allen Robinson, Sammy Watkins, Carlos Hyde, Jarvis Landry and other recently-signed free agents indicate movement in the trade market, but who is up, who is down, and who's hype has them higher/lower than they should be? Plus, Pat Mahomes and Mitchell Trubisky get new receivers, Derrick Henry gets some company in the Tennessee backfield, and Jameis Winston's arsenal remains intact with an extra year of experience; how are their respective trade values affected? And rookies always make their way into the conversation – whether it's Josh Rosen, Saquon Barkley or rookie picks that are still TBD – and the free agent class indirectly affects the draft class. Find out who is affected most, and how! All that and more on this week's final episode! ***Don't forget to send your trades to @SuperFlexTrades on Twitter for more interaction… and maybe even a cameo on the podcast!*** This episode is brought to you by GT Bets; enter the code word “SuperFlex” for your welcome bonus at GTBets.eu and get in on the action on today's games! The guest appearance that has been months in the making! Bobby Koch (@RekedFantasy) – of Dynasty League Football, TwoQBs, and the Afterburners podcast nobility – joins the show and brings his unique perspectives on superflex roster construction with him! After talking about their dynasty superflex rankings all last week, the guys are breaking their QB rankings into tiers and explaining how they draft a superflex team as they target each group of quarterbacks. Who are the “Must Have” passers for each SuperFlex SuperFriend? Who are some acceptable QB1s, and who is better suited as a superflex? Plus, end-of-bench and flier QBs, and the case for Russell Wilson as QB1 overall, the case for Aaron Rodgers as startup 1.01, and the case for Blake Bortles as a superflex. The fourth member of the superflex ranking team, Brian Harr (@DFF_Brian) returns as the gang takes a deeper dive into their superflex rankings. This time, after identifying discrepancies in their rankings and deviations from the consensus, each SuperFlex SuperFriend is challenged to defend his rankings. The guys are all over the map on several big name dynasty assets, some ranked higher than the consensus and some ranked lower than the consensus… and even a couple players who find themselves at opposite extremes! *(Check out the gang's individual and composite superflex rankings, just click on the “superflex” tab!) Free Agency is in full swing, but the Super Flexible podcast is stuck in a time warp before the action began, so the guys try to exist in a world where free agency doesn't exist, and they do so by basking in the comfort of their own rankings. Fellow Dynasty Football Factory contributor and superflex ranker Brian Harr (@DFF_Brian) joins the guys to help identify some quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers who are rising in their respective individual superflex rankings, and players who are falling. *(Check out the gang's individual and composite superflex rankings, just click on the “superflex” tab!) Two rankers disagree on a certain free agent quarterback, but will his landing spot change anything? A couple of free agent running backs also make the list, but which way are they trending? And three running backs are falling in anticipation of a strong rookie class forcing them from their roles. Finally, the wide receiver position risers/fallers segment ends in controversy when a polarizing figure throws the dynasty value system in to disarray.
