Biden says he and Harris on same page, FEMA whines while failing due to Woke ideology, Walz gets walloped and Deep Thoughts

Today's show opens with Joe Biden deciding to address the press from the Press Secretary lectern. He wanted it to be clear that he and Kamala Harris are on the same page, singing from the same song sheet and their teams are locked hand in hand. In the meantime, the low-IQ candidate showed her true talents in Detroit when her teleprompter went on the fritz. The FEMA Director complained on the Sunday shows that it's not nice to criticize them. It hurts their feelings. The Legacy/mainstream media also went into full protection mode of the government narrative. Unfortunately, we have way too many first-hand stories from a swath of people, from volunteers, to coordinators to law-enforcement, telling us that FEMA is making things worse. This is by design. To prove that, we play a :90 second clip of a disaster preparedness meeting where they made it clear they are following a Woke agenda and no longer interested in helping the greatest number of people. If we had even a slight hope that the press was doing their job, they would be telling us this. But, they are not. Instead, we not only have to get first-hand testimonials, but also Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) who had to put Kristen Welker in her misinformed place. We start to close the show with Shannon Bream doing a great job of fact-checking Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) on her Fox News show. She also asked him to clarify all of his miss statements, which he answered with the usual non-answer. Our final sound bites both come from Harris sitting in an interview with 60 Minutes. She fails, again, the question about how to pay for all of her desires. Then, we get a word-salad doozy that is so bad, it was deserving of a Deep Thoughts with VP Kamala Harris moment. On Today's Show: https://thehotshotwakeup.substack.com/ Two years after the Hermits PeakCalf Canyon Fire, the FEMA director in charge of the $4 Billion in relief funds has resigned. The HPCC Fire, caused by 2 separate Forest Service prescribed burns, became the largest, most expensive, and most destructive fire in history. Lawyers for the communities say the Agency copied and pasted relief documents from a fire back in 2000, causing even more delays and rejected claims. Angela Gladwell has been “moved to another FEMA position” after two years of failure, and residents are still without relief. After 3.5 months, a new director has yet to be named. A total botch job. All agencies are on an apology tour. Plus, full wildfire operational update. THE HOTSHOT WAKE UP — Thank you to all of our paid subscribers. In the Southern U.S., spotting the iconic Waffle House sign means a hot meal any time of day, a stop on a long drive, or a place to gather with friends. Waffle House is Americana at its best and a symbol of pride for Southerners. Following the 2011 Joplin Tornado, FEMA Director, Craig Fugate created the Waffle House Index, an informal metric that helped FEMA determine the impact of a storm based on if the local Waffle House restaurants were closed or open. But even before the index, continuity of operations was ingrained in the culture of Waffle House. We are joined in this episode by Will Mizell, VP of People for Waffle House to talk about how they prepare, respond, and recover from a disaster. While it may not make fiscal sense to remain open, Waffle House keeps operations going for the communities they serve. Don't be surprised if you happen to be in a Waffle House after a bad storm, the person working the grill may very well be the CEO. Diversity in America has become the leading headline in recent weeks due to events around the country. How diversified is emergency management – and how does that impact treatment and distribution of resources? In this podcast we are joined by representatives from the Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management for a candid discussion on equality within our industry. In addition, Tidal Basin CEO Dan Craig will conclude the discussion with a special announcement about a new diversity scholarship opportunity. The Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management was founded after cofounders Chauncia Willis and others experienced varying levels of racism, bias, and inequality within the emergency management sector. Personal bias can impact how emergency management programs are implemented at the local level, especially for underserved areas. The organization aims to increase community resilience, especially for underserved communities, through diversity and inclusion for equity in emergency management. Tidal Basin CEO Daniel Craig demonstrated a commitment to I-DIEM’s mission with the announcement of a new student scholarship program supported by a donation of $5,000 each from Tidal Basin and from Mr. Craig. Tidal Basin’s donation will be supporting a new student scholarship program named in recognition of Lt. General Julius W. Becton, Jr., the first minority to serve as FEMA Director from 1985 to 1989. The Julius W. Becton-IDIEM Student Scholarship Fund will support diverse students in the field of emergency management.
