This week, host Tom Zalatnai (@tomzalatnai) calls up friend of the show Greg Schulz (@giantwerewolf) to take a big ol' crunch out of Pickles! We talk about why pickles are the perfect food to open up our palates to new flavours, pickle mistakes, and the importance of trying things again even when we don't like them. Plus, we get into how the acidity of vinegar interacts with salt and fat! You can follow this show on social media and help vote for tiebreakers @NoBadFoodPod! This week, hosts Tom Zalatnai (@tomzalatnai) and Teffer Adjemian (@tefferbear) call up special guest judges Greg Schulz (@giantwerewolf) and Giovanni Colantonio (@marioprime) to hear their arguments for which foods deserve to move forward to the next round of Munch Madness! Will hot sauce prove too hot to handle, or will beef steak home the gold? Will mustard have enough faith to move mountains, or will berries bury the competition? Once Sonic heralded in the 1990s with his cool-guy, take-no-shit attitude, game companies across the world were racing to find the next raddest platforming mascot. And boy were there a lot more misses than hits. With the help of David Flamm from Left Trigger Right Trigger, we rifle through some of the best of those misses and attempt to breathe new life in these needlessly horny misfits. Check out Dave's work with Left Trigger Right Trigger, a biweekly video games book club. You can also listen to the entire back-catalogue of Fullmetal Bazinga, an improv sci-fi dramedy based on the final season of The Big Bang Theory. Debate This! is a dumb show where grown men yell at each other over video games and comics. What’s up #bazinganation?! Your favorite The Big Bang Theory debate-themed podcast is back for what might be the last time! We recorded this episode days before the TBBT finale, so before we knew what actually happened we speculated on how Sheldon would finally bite the bullet. Will he be murdered for his insensitivity or just pulled back into the Gates of Hell to resolve the pact he made with the demon long ago? Thanks to David Flamm and the rest of our friends at Left Trigger Right Trigger for letting us be a part of the finale of their improvisational science-fiction audio drama, Fullmetal Bazinga. Every episode of this beautiful experiment is available now wherever you download podcasts. The 1993 film Super Mario Bros is notorious for 1) being very bad, and 2) inadvertently creating a sub-genre of crappy movie adaptations of popular video games. So this week, we’re finally going to right this wrong and re-shoot the Mario Bros movie the right way. Problem is, we don’t actually create new concepts, we just steal from the likes of Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, and...the dudes from Super Troopers. Thank God we brought in guest expert Giovanni Colantonio to help pen this masterpiece. You can listen to more of Giovanni talking about video games on Left Trigger Right Trigger, or check out Fullmetal Bazinga, an improvised science-fiction audio drama based on the final season of the Big Bang Theory! Welcome to a vaguely spooky episode of Left Trigger Right Trigger. Slightly scary guest Andrew Zucosky joins your hosts to discuss "Disempowerment," a word that may not actually exist. And how appropriate, dear listeners, because is there anything as ambiguously eerie as the plausible deniability of existence? Tune in as Andrew gushes over anything approximating a tentacle. Greg talks about his jaws that bite, his claws that catch. Giovanni says he's not going to talk about something and then totally talks about it. Colin discovers they're powered by blood.
