Looking for support that's not listed here? Just ask, Learnimize will customize and create it just for you. Top three takeaways Many people assume the child did not fit into the school when they are pulled out, but really in most cases it's the contrary! People don't often stop to think about how the school/teacher/curriculum/etc didn't fit the child. Every child is different and it's impossible that any school will match the learning style and needs of every student that attends. Homeschooling provides a unique opportunity to provide a child-specific learning environment. There are so many resources that exist out there and can support parents in homeschooling. Even in Samanthas 12 year classroom teaching career, she was only able access about 5% of the amazing online tools out there, even while actively searching. No matter which subject or topic, every child builds critical thinking skills and confidence at learnimize. Call to Action Samantha offers a free 15 minute consultation for parents. This can also be used to students to meet her and have a short "demo." Additionally, the first class is "risk-free" in that parents do not have to pay or commit until afterwards. If they are satisfied, it will go on their monthly invoice. If for some reason it's not a match, they can walk away! Samamtha also offers various discounts for more than one class a week, family & friends (in a group session), and referral discounts. Aífe and Ciara discuss Geography Club by Brent Hardinger, a 2003 young adult novel about a group of unlikely teenagers brought together by a shared experience that, well, isn't geography. Yep, you got us. It's lgbtq+ themes. Discussion points include: the racoon that lives within all of us, sex on tv, 2003 internet, the gentle teen kiss of asparagus lips, solidarity, queer community, high school politics, brainy brainless bisexuals, erotic baseball playing, and why good people do bad things. CONTENT WARNING: homophobia and queerphobia - including targeted bullying with transphobic undertones to it also.

21 episode! We're officially old enough to drink now! The kids in this week's movie, "Geography Club," are not however. We finally disagree about a movie! Chris enjoyed it a lot more than Adam did despite both of us giving it a similar score. The toxic masculinity we discussed last week rears its ugly head again with this film, Chris gives out parenting advice and also wishes upon a star for something incredibly naughty. Be sure to send us feedback and check us out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, @CinemaQueens. We'll be back next week to start our coverage of the Damn These Heels film festival!
We apologize for lying to you again! Our plan to do "Geography Club" got bumped 'till next week because we wanted to talk about Hannah Gadsby's brillaint Netflix stand-up, "Nanette," because it is so vitally important for everyone, especially women and the LGBTQ community to hear ASAP. In fact, we recommend you watch the special before listening because we have to spoil parts of it in order to fully discuss it. We dive deep and have a really emotional episode as all of us, including guest Eddie, talk about the internalized homophobia we still carry despite being out and proud, what wisdom we wish we could impart on our teenage selves and a bunch of serious topics. Be sure to check us out and send us feedback on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @CinemaQueens!
