I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 1st of May, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Malachi 3:16: “So a book of remembrance was written before HimFor those who fear the LordAnd who meditate on His name.”Then we go straight to the Gospel of Mark 16:7: ”But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” Jesus remembers your name, my dear friend. It doesn't matter what you have done or haven't done, He still knows you by name because He created you in His own image. There is nothing sweeter than to hear the mention of your own name. Come on now, be honest, it is lovely when somebody says, “Hello John, Hello Mary, how are you?” You think to yourself, “he remembered my name”, “she remembered my name”, and Jesus tells us this morning that He has got a book of remembrance. Your name is in that book, the Lamb's Book of Life - nothing sweeter!Peter, the big fisherman, was always changing feet. He was like a bull in a china shop. I tend to be a bit like that myself and get into trouble, but the Lord loved Peter so much. Even though Peter dropped the ball, even though Peter denied the Lord three times and he had just said a few hours before, “I will die for You” but he denied Him. He even blasphemed the Bible says, he swore, ‘I don't even know Him” and yet the Lord Jesus knew that when the disciples were told to go down to Galilee and there Jesus would meet them all, He knew that Peter would not come because he was so broken. He had let the Lord down. “Tell the disciples—and Peter, I will see them in Galilee.” The Lord is saying to you the very same thing. “Tell Joe, tell Barnabas, tell Mark, I will see them in Heaven.” Today is a great day. Jeremiah 1:5 in the Amplified Bible is even more confirmation: “Before I formed you in the womb (in other words, before you were conceived in your mother's womb, Jesus says) I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”That's how much He loves you. He knows you! Speak to Him today!Jesus bless you and goodbye.

It's not who you come with, it's who takes you home in this under appreciated 1987 not quite sequel to Prom Night. Join us as we tangle with vengeful, telekinetic, prom queen ghosts hell bent on revenge. Did we love it? Did we hate it? join us to find out.
Summer Sequel Month 2023 comes to a close with the Patreon poll pick. Matt, Vaughn, Bobby, and Mike rent some tuxes, get a limo, reserve a table at the local Olive Garden, and take eachother to prom while discussing the supernatural sequel that has nothing to do with the first Prom Night movie.
It's 1957 and Mary Lou Maloney is making her way through the male half of the student body. On the night of the prom, where she is elected queen, a freak accident costs her her life and, for some reason, her soul is banished to a trunk in the school's basement. Thirty years later, goody goody Vicki Carpenter is possessed by Mary Lou's demonic spirit. And that demonic spirit still wants the crown. HELLO MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT II is one of the better examples of late ‘80s horror, with surprisingly good effects, decent performances, and lots of extreme fashions. Come join Tony and I as we dive on in. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blindragepod/message
Mitch and Buzi welcome back the lead actor in The Druid's Hand, former UFC Fighter, Pro-Wrestler, Corgi Dad and all around bad ass, Mitch Clarke to discuss PROM NIGHT (1980) and HELLO MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT 2 (1987). It's Pride Month! So we picked a couple of Queer Friendly Horror Films by Writer/Director Ron Oliver who made a few horror movies we wanted to talk about this week! HELLO MARY LOU Prom Night 2 (1987) & Prom Night 3 The Last Kiss (1990). One he directed and both that he wrote. One of the two is Alex's favorite movie of recent times. This is Christina's first time watching them. About a girl from the 50s who was bound for hell and was accidentally burned alive on Prom Night and has come to the future to exact he revenge on the school and her past friends. Both of these movies pay heavy homages to some of the great slashers of the 80's and we discuss a lot about Ron Oliver's life and both of his movies. JOIN US! He talks about his website and YouTube channel and mentions a new app he downloaded for news and magazines. He also talks about his interest in cats and his dog Vinnie. The text then discusses two different topics. The first is about a dog who loves everyone except the speaker, who he gives a hard time to. The second topic is about a cafe in Tour Point, owned by Teresa Allen, who is offering a cheap meal deal for a family of four during half term. The author then goes on to discuss their interest in pursuing another degree, with their top three choices being philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience. They mention their previous degree in counseling and their unsuccessful attempt to get accepted into a master's program in positive psychology. The speaker discusses the advancements in artificial intelligence and the competition between companies like Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI. They mention their interest in behaviorism and training their dog using those techniques. The author also briefly mentions Pavlov, Watson, and Skinner as pioneers in psychology. The text ends with a reminder to be kind and gentle with oneself.

Marcus Maddox is a photographer. If you were to read Marcus's origin story it brings you back to childhood memories, thinking to yourself as a kid, what would be a cool thing to play around with? What would be cool to take a picture of? It's your shadow. Marcus has shot some of your favorite musicians such as friend and guest of the show Shamir, Tierra Whack, Moor Mother, yes I just dropped 3 Philly names, Hello Mary, Barrie, Knife Play, Sun Ra Arkestra, Thundercat, BTS for friend and guest of the show Mannequin Pussy and many more. I found Marcus via shooting for friend and guest of the show Kennedy Freeman of Highnoon but saw instantly that he has also shot friends that I met in a past life, Jon Key and Jessica Willis for his series, Figures of Color. They followed the announcement with a melodically gritty new single, today's Song of the Day, which they say touches on the "general themes of feeling stuck and restricted by circumstances out of one's control." "For us specifically it relates to us having to practice as a band during COVID, not being able to play shows, and being stuck in the thick of writing songs out of a need to cope," they shared in a press release. "The main repeating line of the song ‘Looking Right Into the Sun,' plays with the idea of confronting something with such duality — the sun is beautiful and mesmerizing yet looking directly at it will blind you — kind of like confronting a hard truth and turning it into a sick song." Hello Mary - "Sink In," a 2022 self-released single. Today's Song of the Day comes from Brooklyn trio Hello Mary, who formed when band members Helena Straight (vocalist/guitarist), Mikaela Oppenheimer (bassist), and Stella Wave (drummer/vocalist) were still teenagers. They released their debut album Ginger back in 2020. Earlier this year, we were thrilled to premiere this latest single, along with its sister song "Stinge." As KEXP's Tia Ho reported, the singles were produced by Bryce Goggin, who brought his experience working with '90s guitar-heavy bands like Dinosaur Jr. and Pavement to the studio. Wave told KEXP, “‘Stinge' is a passion-filled, sad/angry song focusing on the polarizing emotions and back and forth feelings that come with nearing the end of a relationship (friend, romantic partner etc.), “Sink In” puts the relationship to rest. The feeling is less angry, and more accepting of the new state of things.” She added that the two new tracks are "more mature on all fronts," adding, "Most of the songs on Ginger were written when Helena and Mikaela were 14 years old. The song writing, even though it can be catchy and fun, is pretty amateur in comparison to the new songs. Our ‘sound' has become more unique since we have been playing together for longer. It's more Hello Mary.” Read the full post on KEXP.org Support the show: https://www.kexp.org/donate See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
