The prophet Ibrahim AS in a nutshell ⬇️
Father-son relationships are a unique bond. The father sacrifices to raise the son, and then the son sacrifices to care for his father. The Quran speaks of the strongest bond ever forged between a father and son—a legacy we are reminded of every single day of our lives: *Ibrahim and Ismail* (AS).Join us at Faith Circle, this *Thursday, January 23* at *6:45pm at Islamic College* of Brisbane as Sheikh Zohair takes us through a reflection on the legendary partnership of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail (AS) that established our most sacred place of worship and produced a progeny that culminated in our last and final Messenger (SWAS). Through this story, we will reflect on:
A dad is a daughter's first love and a son's first superhero.A father is the unsung hero taken for granted…Who's not allowed to cry when things get hard, who's supposed to stay strong and lift everyone up.Who's judged, not for who you are, but for how much love and money you put on the table. We're culturally not conditioned to ask the same questions we usually ask mothers:“How are you doing?”“Is something bothering you?”We've painted fathers as the villains who believe in tough love……as the prime dictator around the house.…as a man who's labeled “weak” when they experience emotional breakdown. But Allah values fathers, more than anyone can ever do.He recognizes your struggle, your hard work, and gives credit where it's due.The struggles of fathers are different than mothers. But it's a struggle nonetheless, with no expectation of a reward.Look pops, you don't have to be in sacrifice mode all the time. The world might think of you differently, but when you see how the Quran speaks to fathers…...you'll know:
Assalamu Alaikum dear listeners, SubhanAllah, the blessed ten days of Dhul Hijjah have just passed, and many of us mothers have been deeply invested in teaching our children the significance of this sacred period. Not designed to convince a person with a closed mind. The concept of raising questions is very important in history e.g. Ibrahim AS raised questions. Our Approach: Very unique. Each question is being answered in a short lecture with examples followed by a Q&A session. Summary of the discussion from Day 1 and the follow-up Q&A session. 1- Muslim government was set up in a fertile area. Love of this world is cancer in society. 2- What about people who passed away in a time when knowledge was not available easily? 3- What about our responsibility?

The most beloved unto Allah are those whom He has chosen. Prophet Muhammad pbuh, the other prophets of Allah such as Ibrahim AS. What did they have? Eidul Adha Lecture, Harare Zimbabwe 2019
Tests, trials, tribulations and tragedy are all intrinsically part of the human experience, and our faith in Allah ﷻ makes it easier for us to handle them whenever they befall.. We believe that tests are for everyone, including those most beloved to Allah ﷻ -- even the prophets, such as Ibrahim (AS), were tested by Allah ﷻ. By appreciating that we are not alone, we are provided with a sense of relief. Whenever a difficulty afflicts us, the appropriate response of the believer is “inna lillahi, wa inna ilayhi raji’un” -- Indeed to Allah ﷻ we belong, and indeed to Him is our return. This statement provides a sense of comfort for the believer. We find solace in recognizing that a Higher Being is fully responsible for us, and that, ultimately, we will return to Him in the hereafter, a time and place where all prior difficulties will be forgotten.
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan shares with us the legacy of Ibrahim AS to give us an overview of the importance of this matter and towards the end, he shares something from his experience too.
