Morrison concludes by stressing the fulfillment of humanity's longing for eternity through knowing God deeply.
We live in an unpredictable world. A world where things break and fall apart. Amid the chaos, we need to find steady ground. In this story, we see a man who doubts God (a man with a broken heart), come face to face with the unbreakable God. This story also shows us who God is, his holiness and his faithfulness. Be encouraged as you listen to how God takes a feeble human and helps him/her stand on holy ground.

Ephesians 4:17-32. If the pastor had to visit your office and mention to the receptionist that he's come to visit you, would the receptionist be amazed that you are a Christian? In Ephesians 4: 17 – 32, Paul contrasts the difference between Christians and non-Christians and then gives practical advice as to what a Christian looks like. While this passage in no way says that works are a way of salvation, it does give us good reason to live lives that are different to non-believers. Listen to find out what a Christian life looks like and how you should/can live differently.
Almost all of us think there is something we can do to be right with God. Many think if they are religious enough they will surely go to Heaven. The message of Easter helps us to understand how God saves humanity. It makes it clear to us that God came down to rescue us through the death of Jesus on the cross. In this sermon Martin Morrison preaches how God rescues humanity, not through their good works but grace and mercy. Have a listen.
Today, learning from the Book of Acts, Acts 4v23-31 to be precise, we find the followers of Jesus praying in the face of persecution. Jesus promises all his followers that they will face persecution, but this is the first they, the apostles of Christ Jesus, have faced it directly. Facing persecution because you are carrying your cross, is a blessing. Christians are called to move towards need, not comfort. The greatest need is that people come to know the antidote to sin and death, and that is Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour… John Piper has written an excellent article on this - “The Unbiblical pursuit of a trouble-free life” Join Pastor Martin as he unpacks the Biblical truths and meaning of Acts 4v23-31 and the good news it preaches in the face of persecution, for us all, today.
1 Thessalonians
The Bible teaches us about the two comings of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today in 1 Thessalonians 4v13-18, we are looking at the second coming of our Lord and Saviour. But what is significant with the second coming of Christ, and what lessons can we learn from it. 3 principles are present in this passage, and they are excellent news for Christians, meaning the End is not Death, the End is not Confused, and in the end we are not Alone. But what does this actually mean? It means that as Christians, we will not only be raised from the dead (Sleep), but we will be given new bodies, be reunited with our Christian family members and be in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and God in Heaven. Join us today, as Pastor Martin unpacks 1 Thessalonians 4v13-18 and discover the true meaning, certainty and joy that this passage gives each and every Christian.
Much of our world believes in the law-strategy to change lives. Very sadly most people in churches think like that. If we think christianity is a be good or else we are wrong. The gospel of Jesus does not say christians are energised or motivated by the laws. Christians are motivated by God's love. Listen to Martin Morrison as he preaches on how christians are freed from the law through Grace and are now married to Christ, because of his love keeps them motivated to resist sin and submit to God.
Romans: 6: 1-23: If there is one thing we battle with its sin. If you are a real christian should you sin or live without sin? We have unanswered questions like do I lose my salvation if I sin, where do I go if I struggle with one particular sin? In Romans Chapter 5 Paul makes it clear that sinners are justified by the blood of Jesus and through faith in Jesus all those who believe have peace with God. It does not matter what one has done but by grace alone sinners are saved. If salvation is by grace alone , do Christians have to continue living in sin? Paul says by no means! In this sermon Martin Morrison preaches on what it means to be saved by grace, to be dead to sin and alive to God.
In Philippians 1v18B – 26, we learn that Paul is in Prison when he writes this letter, that his imprisonment is for Christ and Christ's glory. Paul was arrested falsely, on trumped up charges. He is in the worst possible situation a person could be in, in this time of the world. Jails and prisons were hell on earth. Yet he still continues his work of Christ. Paul knows that God is sovereign and King, and that what has happened is for God's glory. Paul, even though he lost so much, has kept his focus on Christ and to execute his duties of expanding the Kingdom of God, no matter the situation. No matter the situation we are in, look at Paul's situation, God can use us for good, remember “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain!” Join Pastor Martin as he faithfully unpacks Philippians 1v18B-26, and we learn the true meaning of these Bible verses.
Exodus 25: 1-22: So, the Tabernacle as mentioned in Exodus, what was its purpose, and why was it important to build the Tabernacle? In our modern 2022 lives, why it is important to know and understand its meaning? We see a walled structure, with a Tent, with specific furniture, and two rooms separated by a curtain. Why were the instructions given to build the Tabernacle so elaborate and detailed? What was the significance of the curtain separating the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place, and what impact does it have on my life today, in 2022? Join Bishop Martin as he unpacks Exodus 25v1-22 and shows us the meaning, not only, of the Tabernacle of the Old Testament, but the meaning and significance of it for us in Midrand, in 2022.
Matthew 28:1-20
John 20:19-31: “Missing Deceased Person found Alive after Three Days! Family are believed to be happy to once again see their brother, as they saw him murdered on a cross”. This could have been a headline three days after Jesus Christ was killed on the Cross at Calvary. Easter signifies so much more than Chocolates and a family meal. It signifies that Jesus Christ came to earth, took on our sins, was executed on the Cross and died on our behalf, descended into Hell, and after three days was resurrected. But what do these events mean to you and I today? It means that Christ is alive and seated at the right hand of God. That He took our sin to the cross and died on our behalf. That Christ is our Lord and Saviour and the only way to Heaven, to our Father. Join Bishop Martin as he unpacks John 20v19-31 and discusses the Good News of Easter and what it means to us all…
John 19:16-42: We are all confronted by the person of Christ and who He claims to be. In this sermon the pivotal events leading up to the death of Christ help us to see His true identity. In many ways the characters in John's account are representations of many modern day views that people hold about Jesus. Whether it is the religiosity of the Pharisees, the unbelief of Peter, the ignorance of the soldiers or the confession of the Roman centurion we might find ourselves depicted quite clearly in this passage. We hope that this sermon brings you to a richer understanding of who Christ is and what He means for your life today.
Mark 4:35-520. Disciples are distressed because of the storm, yet the master is asleep. He wake up, rebukes the storm and the wind obeys him. The legion of demons beg him not to torment them. These miracles points out to Jesus's identity and we are left to wrestle with the question, Is Jesus anything other than the son of God? Listen to Martin Morrison as he preaches on Jesus's identity and how we are to respond to him.
What does Acts 2v37-41 teach us? It teaches us about the 4 key ingredients of the Gospels. They are Gospel Events (Historical events about the life, miracles and ministry of Jesus Christ), Gospel Witnesses (How Old testament Scriptures and Prophecies are the witnesses), Gospel Promises (It is the good news that God offers, that He will cleanse us and put his Holy Spirit into you) and finally, Gospel Conditions (We are to separate ourselves from this crooked generation that we live in, in order to become a Christ-like community). But what does this mean for you and me today? Join us as Pastor Martin takes an in-depth look at Acts 2v37-41 and unpacks these short but powerful few verses, and discover what they mean to us today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives.
What Was the real reason for Jesus Christs Ministry on Earth? Was it a ministry of healing, or wealth development, to cleanse us from our evil ways, or something that we missed altogether? Then again, was it to bring the Holy Spirit and fill us with it? Or… Join us as Pastor Martin Unpacks Acts 2 and delves deep into Jesus Christ's 2-Fold Ministry and what it means to us today!
In Mark Chapter 3 we find different responses to Jesus by different people and spirits. These groups include the crowd, , apostles, Jesus's enemies and the evil spirits. Crowds never committed to Jesus but there were either fans or spectators. The evil spirits are aroused to displeasure, they know Jesus's identity and what he came to do but they had no intention to submit to him. The apostles listened to Jesus and followed him. Jesus's enemies constantly rejects him and calls him evil. In this sermon Martin Morrison preaches on the right response to Jesus. Have a Listen!
What is so deceptive about the comedy series, The Good Place, on Netflix? Surely it's harmless, especially as there is no SNL? Is there ever a good time to have a church punch-up? Isn't Jesus the Prince of Peace? What is wrong with switching the Assets and Liabilities on a Balance Sheet? If I go to church, give to charity, pray and read the Bible, what if I even give blood, won't that qualify me for heaven? Listen to this sermon to find answers to all these questions.
Thinking back to the last rock concert one attended, feeling like it was a decade ago! One looks forward to an amazing show. Leaving any semi-decent concert, one is left in awe, emotions and spirits are high, and you are left with the feeling of being able to take on the world, and be victorious. Many during the ministry of Jesus were less concerned with the words he taught, and more concerned with his works. What could Jesus do for me… If you were in the Audience of Christ Jesus, would you come to submit to Him, would you come to learn from Him, honour him, or would you be there to take from Him? Join us as we discover more about the various responses to Christ Jesus during the time of his ministry, and what it ultimately meant to them, and to us today…
We all have a basic understanding of what the Sabbath is, a day of rest, a day of no work, but what actual is the Sabbath? Jesus states that the ‘Sabbath was made for Man, not Man for the Sabbath’, and this statement led to the Pharisees plotting to kill Christ Jesus. Why was this statement so destructive to the Jewish leaders of the time, and still to this day? Was it because Jesus stated Biblical truths, truths that would dissolve the man-made rules of the day, or was it simply false and misleading rituals that had been created to control man? Join us as we discover the Biblical truths behind the Sabbath and why it is a blessing from God to man, and not a Governing act…
Have you ever been wondering why the Bible clearly defines not only roles in Marriage for one male and one female, but also sex that is to be enjoyed exclusively in Marriage? Why are Wives asked to submit to their husbands? Why is sex only to be enjoyed in marriage? Join us as we discover the Biblical truths of both these teachings, and the key reason why.
Ephesians 5: 22 - 33. Looking for your soul mate, your perfect partner, or are you married to someone who doesn’t quite fit the bill, or are they now no longer fit for purpose..? Look what the Bible tells us about marriage, relationship and our ideal partners, which meet those needs for companionship, as designed by God… Join us as we discover more about both family and companionship within the confines Marriage…

Genesis 2:18 - 25. What is the Purpose of Marriage in a modern world? What is the reason for one male and one female to join in a lifelong commitment? Is it to procreate, to have a happy life with your wife or simply to have a fulfilled life by current worldly standards? Or did God create man and woman, and marriage for a greater purpose. Join us as we look at 4 principals that are prevalent in marriage today, as it was right after Adam ate the fruit that Eve gave him. They are - that God created Male and Female, - that God is the author of both Marriage and Sex, - that the Fall in Genesis 3 was detrimental to marriage and finally, - what the cure to issues with Marriage is!
Mark 2:13 - 22. Have you ever heard of someone proclaiming either themselves or another person as the Messiah, as God himself? What were your initial thoughts? Doubt, unbelief, mistrust, or anger. When Jesus arrived and his identity was established, even the demons he cast out knew who he ultimately was, he was condemned to death by the Jewish Pharisees, as they knew the true identity of Christ, and feared what it would mean to their control on power. The Gospel teaches us the true identity of Christ Jesus, our saviour, our Lord, our God. Like the Pharisees, we can deny his existence, turn our backs on his teachings, but we all deep down know the truth… Join us and discover more truths about the identity of Christ Jesus, our saviour and Lord…
In Mark's gospel, we hear many great stories of miracles and healings. From healing the near-dead to casting out demons. We hear of crowds gather to listen to Jesus Christ teachings, with Authority, as well as ordering demons to leave men without speaking. But what does this actually teach you and I? Does it show that Jesus came to establish a healing ministry, or something far more important? Did he come to save the living from illness and demons, or did he come to save us from God’s judgement, from an eternity in Hell, and eternal condemnation? Join us as we discover the reason Christ Jesus came to rescue us from… It’s the best news you’ll hear, period…
Ever had feelings of being not in control, of being loser, a failure, a good for nothing, not even the trash can rat wants something to do with you? Today we learn how just such a person, Mark from the Author of Mark's Gospel, one of only 4 Gospels in the Bible, was himself, a failure, a loser and a good for nothing. Yet God shows his Authority, his Majesty and his Love for us, by using Mark to write one of the 4 Gospels. If God can do that with Mark, what can he do with you? True Healing can only be found under the hands of the King, King Jesus. Join us and discover how God is a renovator of men and more.
In Mark's Gospel of Christ Jesus, he discusses several truths about Christ Jesus. Firstly, his exact identity and his roots. Join us as we discover more about our Lord Jesus Christ.

The foundation of Christianity is based upon Historical Facts, not on one's beliefs. Saying that, the Kingdom of God is not just the here and now, but it has been, it is, and it will be in the future, it transcends time. The God of our Bible works through the SuperNatural, meaning that Jesus may be physically dead, but his works continue through the Holy Spirit and his Apostles. If there is no Kingdom without a King, then the key to HIS Kingdom is Christ Jesus. Experiencing the Kingdom happens when we submit to Jesus, and we call on him to change us, and to use us in order to grow his Kingdom. The Kingdom is open and Welcome to all who accept Christ Jesus as their personal Saviour and submit to his authority. If you have any questions regarding his Kingdom, please join us and discover more…

All such questions are answered in the book of Job. In this Sermon Martin looks at how Job worshipped God not because of what God has blessed him with but because God is God and that is true worship.

Matthew 6: 5 - 9. Humans are the only creatures who pray and there is not one human who doesn't. Every religion prays and even the atheist will pray when life is really tough. But we all know that, while prayer is often natural and spontaneous, it can also be difficult. To help us, it's worth listening to the king of praying... Jesus himself. Although he was God, he was also man and lived in a sinful world like us and so he is a great person to go to in order to find out how to pray. In this sermon you will find motivation to pray and a guideline to help us when we don't know what to say.
