What a fun episode today as I got the opportunity to sit down and chop it up with 3-young college interns from Fitness Quest 10 and their Director (Ryan Rogers). It was awesome to have an open conversation on all things on their mind and how I can help them on their journey in health, fitness, & coaching. They asked some very thought-provoking questions that lead to deep reflections and deep answers. Here are the questions that the 3 interns (Larry Hando, Max Jackson, and Ian Castillo) asked Ryan Rogers and I on today's IMPACT SHOW podcast: 1. "What was the moment that you knew you wanted to go into fitness & motivational speaking and what has made you stay on this path?" 2. "How do you find the balance between personal life and your passion for fitness and helping people?" 3. “How do you keep your mind right through the pain & struggle you have had to endure?" 4. “When you're in your dark times, or you fail, or you feel guilty about something, how do you process that and get through it?” 5. "How do you keep your ego in check when working with both high-level athletes and everyday clients? How do you stay humble and treat everyone equally?" 6. "What's the most fulfilling part of your work and how do you stay motivated after years of coaching?" 7. “What advice do you have for young coaches or trainers just starting out in the industry?" 8. “In 24-years of Fitness Quest 10, what were your fondest memories and most special experiences, accolades, or events?” Man, did I love this conversation. Some of the macro-themes centered around topics such as… The power of SHOWING-UP. The concept of “Be Humble…Be Hungry” and how that relates these days. The importance of building relationships and the right network, as this lends to your community that you are part of. How to deal with physical pain, loss, failure, and challenge…and how they ultimately can serve as catalysts for growth also. Building a career with Purpose and the elements it requires to do so over years and decades. The Beauty of the Beginning, when there were no frills and just hard work, dedication, and a driving vision to help people. Wisdom & advice for New Coaches & Trainers. MAN!! This was such a fun episode and it was so great getting to connect with these young interns who are eager to learn and grow in the fitness industry. Their questions reminded of the power of consistency, the importance of showing up, and the incredible impact coaching can have on someone. While the road to success can often be tough, filled with challenges and even pain, it's in those very moments that we experience the most growth. Keep growing…and keep going! Thanks for listening. On this week's episode, Colborn and Max (Cohen) welcome the OG crypto artist Max Jackson to MOCA LIVE for a discussion of, not art necessarily, but all those who love it. Audiences is the day's topic, and the three discuss the best (and worst) ways of finding an audience, what having a crypto art audience even means, the death of Twitter's reliability, the birth of new models of audience-seeking, and whether any such model can survive long-term.

In our latest episode of this series charting the team's journey to NAKEDHEALTH, we talk to Max Jackson about his very atypical journey - from studying marine biology to becoming an officer in the navy, going client side as a medical rep then running some of the biggest agency networks in the industry. As a former CEO at Publicis and WPP, we talk about the importance of that role - setting the tone for, and leading, a large organisation. Max talks about the vision when we set up NAKEDHEALTH and our aspirations for the future. A fascinating journey that's useful for those entering the industry or for those of us, pausing for a moment and reflecting on our industry.

Joey L has accomplished more as a photographer than photographers twice his age, strike that three times his age. If that didn’t catch your attention than his work will. His style is unique, distinct and sought after by major brands and companies. I recently sat down with Joey at his Brooklyn studio for an open and straight forward discussion that takes us back to where he started and how he got to where he is today. If you have been looking for that kick in the ass this interview might just do it. But before we get to the interview we have our regular scheduled business to attend to. I had some house cleaning to tend to from a couple of questions I answered in RAWtalk Episode #075. It turns out that yelling at a reader for buying an 18-200 TAMRON may have needed a little more context. We catch up on last weeks photo news with Stephen where we discussed a photographer crowd sourcing a d4s, an interview with Max Jackson and some other interesting topics. I want to thank RODE microphone for their support and don’t forget to check out their HUGE contest going on right here http://www.rodemic.com/myrodereel For more information on Joey L please check out his website https://www.joeyl.com/ To download this weeks Episode and check out the photo news go to http://froknowsphoto.com/rawtalk-76/
A little over a week ago I got an email from Max Jackson’s father asking if we wanted to conduct the only interview with his son Max. For those who don’t remember who Max is we discussed his situation in great detail on RAWtalk Episode #073. The quick of it is he took photos of a Color Run event that the Color Run ended up asking for permission to use. They came to an agreement via a Facebook conversation where Color Run could use the images online in exchange for linking back to Max’s Facebook page. Fast forward a few months and Max’s photos started showing up in advertisements which was not part of the agreed upon usage rights. A lot went down after that including Max being sued by the Color Run and the short of it is that the case has settled out of court. So here we are with the first and only interview with Max since the entire thing started. I want to preface the interview by saying I had to choose my questions very carefully. I really could not dive to deep into the issues that put Max and the Color Run into the situation they ended up since they have a non disparage agreement. With that said I think there are some really solid take home points in this interview. We now know more about Max and his future endeavors than before. To watch this interview please go to http://froknowsphoto.com/max-jackson-speaks/
