The Sydney Morning Herald stated, "This homegrown superstar is certainly one to watch”. Her first live album “Live at Big Bear” an independent release has now reached 6.7 million streams across Facebook and instagram reels. Her 2023 single release “You Got Me Thinking of You” was placed on over 60 stations/podcasts/playlists worldwide and charted No.4 on 6pr Australian Radio Charts, No. 1 on UK Radio Charts (it is now radio) for 11 weeks, No.2 on Microbrew Radio Charts in the UK for ‘You Got Me Thinking of You”.  Danni's last two singles are now spinning on radio stations nationally & internationally. Danni has performed to sold-out crowds in her career & currently performs throughout the South Western region of California in the Palm Springs/desert area. She has spent years touring venues across Australia, including The Sydney Opera House, Perth Arena, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Tamworth Regional Entertainment Center, and Australian & UK Festivals. At the age of eight Danni picked up the guitar. As a youth, Danni was given the option to either continue ballet or pick up the guitar. The choice was evident, and she hasn't put it down since. Danni left school at age 16 to pursue an entertainment career. In 2023 Danni began recording, engineering and producing her new organic Rock Record with hints of pop, soul, country & Americana. This work of art will be released  as singles starting this fall 2023 and was Executive Co-Produced with tv/music executive Jeffrey Panzer who is behind the major music videos and tv/music projects by Universal Music, Motown Records, EMI Records, Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne, Wilson Phillips, Boys 2 Men, India Arie, 3 Doors Down, The Rolling Stones, Billy Idol & many more. In late 2023 Danni was nominated for 6 Josie Awards (The Grammys for Independent Artists) and won Vocalist Of The Year (multi genre) held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.   DAWSON STEAGALLBorn in 2002 in Rockbed, TN, just outside of Murfreesboro, Dawson Steagall is a true embodiment of Southern roots and country living. As an only child, he found solace and joy in his big family's outdoor traditions, from fishing and mudding to embracing the beauty of nature.Raised in the last batch of kids who grew up playing outside, Dawson's formative years were filled with the simple pleasures of basketball in the driveway, tackle football in the grass, and wild nights of throwing pool balls in the dark with his close friends.Growing up surrounded by the sounds of classic country legends like George Jones, Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings, as well as the vibes of classic rock from the Eagles and Journey, Dawson's musical influences reflect the diverse soundtrack of his upbringing. While he still appreciates R&B and Pop, his heart roots back to the soulful melodies of country.Hailing from a simple country area, not too rural but far from packed, Dawson's love for country music has been a lifelong passion driven not by the pursuit of fame but by a genuine desire to make a living doing what he loves. He began singing at the tender age of three, often caught in his diaper singing along to Waylon on the radio. In 2019, at the age of 17, Dawson signed a deal, marking a significant milestone in his budding career.

She put in a lot of hard work and was constantly touring. It paid off as she became one of Australia's leading female country singers. But that's not just my opinion. She's won 6 Golden Guitars, including Female Artist of the Year at the 2023 Golden Guitar Awards. On the way to that success she has toured the world, entertained Australian troops overseas and even went to New York to play a song she wrote to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea - in front of the President of the United States and the Australian PM (and 800 others). In July 2022, she released her tenth studio album, Living for the Highlights, which reached number 1 on the ARIA charts and the Australian Country Music charts. Head to Amber's website for info on her touring dates and a link to her albums.www.amberlawrence.com.auHead to the link in my bio to have a listen to our conversation. Visit instagram @reallyinterestingwomen for further interviews and posts of interesting women in history. LWICFD! ep.6 welcomes my very funny & long time friend, LOREN MCHENRY!!! It was a crazy hot & dusty Tamworth Country Music Festival that was the backdrop to my first ever meeting Loz & hanging out with her & the band she managed at the time… (Spurs For Jesus). Days were fuelled by heinous Woodstock Bourbon & Cola cans combined with sweat, some tears & possibly some blood from the big punch-on I witnessed at a Tamworth venue whose name escapes me (The Imperial??)  Anyway since those rowdy days, Loz has also been a hairdresser, DJ & band member as well as becoming a booking agent for various bands & now heaps of venues & working on a lot of festivals here on the Cenny Coast. It was so great to catch up with Loz & hear about her adventures along the way & where it all started for her. The dinner party will be off chops too, especially with the “KRAPPY-OKE” styled kick-on, so giddy up!

It is a privilege to welcome singer-songwriter Lisa De Angelis to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Based in Brisbane, Australia, Lisa is a firecracker, quickly cementing herself as one of country music's most unique, exciting voices today. A Southern Gothic base, hints of Justin Townes Earle, Shakey Graves, and Townes Van Zandt, Sierra Ferrell lashings, and Ennio Morricone dusting make up her signature sound: sweeping, cinematic Americana/Blues-Roots music. Lisa's art and path would always be unconventional – and she only picked up a guitar for the first time in 2017.Since graduating from the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) 's prestigious Academy of Country Music and playing her first Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2019, Lisa De Angelis has toured with and opened shows for some of Australia's best performers, including Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), Steve Kilbey (The Church), Amber Lawrence, Hayley Jensen, Catherine Britt, and Melody Moko. A mentee of Australian country music heavyweights Fanny Lumsden and the Flood's Kevin Bennett, Lisa's debut and sophomore songs have garnered airplay on ABC Country, CMT, and KIX Country Radio. Last month, she released her third single: "My Sister's Blue Suitcase," which Lisa recorded and co-produced with her partner Paul Bain at their Brisbane private studio. The release comes on the heels of a forced six-month hiatus for Lisa after a lengthy illness in 2022 took the hearing in her left ear. The devasting loss barely slowed her roll, though; Lisa was back touring with Amber Lawrence, playing Brisbane's Ekka, and being accepted into AIR's Women in Music Mentorship Program in the second half of 2022. Scrappy, vulnerable, and heartfelt, "part Judy Garland, part Saturday Night Live comedian," Lisa is currently recording and co-producing her debut album, due for release in 2024. In this edition of The Jake's Take's with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Lisa De Angelis spoke about the stories behind her songs: "Tumblin' Back," "Hunger Pains," and "My Sister's Blue Suitcase." She also talked about breaking into both the Australian and international music markets.

Matt from the duo Sons of Atticus catches up with Rae Leigh on a featured podcast chat about the origin of the band and the lessons, development and exciting experiences they have had since releasing their debut song in 2021. Amongst the chaos of a rowdy bar in their hometown, Matt and Dylan crossed paths for the first time and instantly hit it off with a few beers, tacos and their love for country music. It wasn't long before the two started to write, record and perform the kind of music that inspired them both growing up. Since then, Matt and Dylan have become Tasman Guitar ambassadors, have released a Debut EP, have matching Elvis Presley tattoos and have now released their new single into the world. A song for the road when you miss the ones at home. Sore Eyes depicts the balancing act of a traveller feeling the strain of following their dream while being away from the ones they love most. The duo's short and sharp existence has already seen them support the likes of CW Stoneking, Andrew Farris, and Catherine Britt & Lachlan Bryan's new duo, The Pleasures. In April, the boys made their way to Tamworth to perform across venues for the Tamworth Country Music Festival. July saw them release their single ‘Sad Songs' which was paired with a small tour along the south coast of NSW, teaming up with a local brewing company for the run of shows. Recently, Matt and Dylan travelled to Mackay to open up the main stage of NQ's Rock'n Country Festival. Connect with Sons Of Atticus: Facebook Spotify YouTube Instagram

It's about a group of people drawn from disparate backgrounds and places who all meet in this small country town and join a choir. What is it that attracts you to small towns? Sophie Green: I think partly it's because we all form our own small communities within larger communities. I'm Sydney born and bred, but I live not far from where I grew up and I have friends that I've met in the same area and met in other small communities, like working in a book shop. I think we do tend to find our little communities within the larger, and also from a storytelling point of view, small communities are good to work with because I don't have to think about a whole massive cast of characters. I can focus on one particular place and the people who live there. Jenny Wheeler: That's interesting because the book does give a real sense of you understanding ...

What's the difference between Country music in the USA, and the rest of the World? We get the opportunity to dig into to that idea with Australian songwriter and recording artist Lily Grace, who shares with us what its like to be on the other side of the ocean, and what it takes to break into the home of Country music, Nashville, Tennessee. Naturally gifted, Lily Grace began singing at 10 years of age. She dived deeper into music a mere four years ago, when she was gifted her first guitar at the age of 11. Her determination to self-fund her own equipment saw her busking at local markets, and soon after, attracting her to local cafes, restaurants, events and festivals. With several years' stage experience already behind her, Lily Grace delivers her own storytelling originals alongside a vast collection of popular, crowd-pleasing favorites from contemporary, classics, and country. The emotions of love, determination, kindness, gratitude and pure joy pour forth in every one of her performances. Lily Grace is a sought-after talent, having recently opened for Amber Lawrence and Catherine Britt's ‘Love and Lies Tour' across Queensland, joining Tania Kernaghan in concert, touring with James Blundell, being announced in the line-up of emerging artists for the Gympie Muster and performing at the Groundwater Country Music Festival this year.  An exciting collaboration has been in the making for Lily Grace this year, with the legendary country music artist, James Blundell. The two penned a song together earlier this year, co-headlined a concert on the Gold Coast and recently completed the ‘Annie June' tour, where they took their co-written song to stages across Queensland, following on from its successful release in May. The excitement around the track helped it reach the Top 10 on the ‘Australian Country Radio' chart, #17 on the ‘Hottest Australian Country Hits' chart, #9 on ‘Country Radio Charts', #31 on the ‘Countrytown Hot 50 Music Chart'. A live video stream on country radio program, KIX Live, and with the official music video being played in high rotation on Foxtel's & Fetch CMT TV channel reaching #3 in ‘Today's Top 15', also featuring in ‘Official Top 30', ‘Fresh Country', and ‘Aussie Country'  programs.  Off the back of a successful debut duo release, Lily released her debut solo single in August. ‘Sixteen Wishes' is an uplifting and summery track, which rocketed to #3 on the Australian Country iTunes Chart and #27 on the Australian All Genres iTunes Chart.  Within a week of it's release, it was the #1 streamed and downloaded song for Australian radio airplay. ‘Sixteen Wishes' continues to climb the Official Top 30 on CMT television, currently placed at #21. The future certainly looks bright for this young artist shortly venturing to the Tamworth Country Music Festival with a plethora of gigs lined-up and semi-finalist nominations in 9 categories of the Tamworth Songwriting Association awards.  The Business Side of Music ™ © 2022 Lotta Dogs Productions LLC Showrunner and Executive Producer Emeritus: Tom Sabella Producer and Host (the guy who has a face for podcasting): Bob Bender Co-Producer - Audio/Video Editor (the man behind the curtain): Mark Sabella Director of Video and Continuity (the brains of the entire operation): Deborah Halle Marketing and Social Media (all knowing): Sarah Fleshner for 362 Entertainment All Around Problem Solver (and Mental Health Therapist for us): Connie Ribas Recorded inside an old beat up Airstream Trailer located somewhere on what's left of Music Row in Nashville TN (except during pandemics, then it's pretty much been accomplished VIA Zoom or over the phone, with the exception for those fearless enough to come to Bob Bender's dining room… and there have been a few that have survived).
