The Cleveland Guardians are in first place and division champions. The Guardians are also the first-place podcast on the network, so I take some time to thank all the fans, and listeners both new and old who have helped make this podcast so successful down the stretch. We then get into the fact that Steven Kwan won his first player of the week awards. He has a long way to catch former player Manny Ramirez who is tied for the all-time lead with 16 appearances. Kwan is 18th in the American League in terms of fWAR. We talked about his place and where he stands. While he might not win the rookie of the year it has been a fantastic season for him which means he should finish top three even if it feels unlikely. We do a preview of what could be a potential playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. It starts with old friend Corey Kluber, then Tyler Glasnow will make his 2022 debut, before facing a rather surprising Jeffery Springs who is exactly the type of pitcher the Guardians struggle against. The team's lineups are close, and the starters are excellent but it will again be the pen where the Guardians have a massive advantage.  We end by running with an item that was posted by Locked on DBacks host Millard Thomas about the Dbacks needing relievers. I can't help but wonder if they would move on from their soon-to-be 32-year-old power-hitting first baseman who is also an elite defender.
