Kansas State Wildcats' standout basketball player, Nae'Qwan Tomlin, has been suspended following an arrest for an alleged altercation at a sports bar over the weekend. On Monday, Wildcats head basketball coach Jerome Tang announced the disciplinary action taken against Tomlin. Tang stated, "I have indefinitely suspended Nae'Qwan Tomlin for not meeting the expectations we set for our players." Tang added that while Tomlin is not currently with the team, he remains part of their family, and they will provide support as he navigates through the legal process. According to arrest records from the Riley County Police Department, Tomlin was arrested for fighting at Tubby's Sports Bar in Manhattan, Kansas, on Sunday. The incident occurred around 1:51 a.m., leading to Tomlin, a Harlem native, being handcuffed at the scene. He faces charges of disorderly conduct and brawling/fighting and was held on a $750 bond, which he reportedly posted for his release. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches and weighing 210 pounds, Tomlin played a significant role in the Wildcats' journey to the Elite Eight last season as a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. In his first season at Kansas State, after transferring from Chipola College in Florida, where he spent the previous two seasons, Tomlin started in all 36 games. Additionally, he played his freshman season at Monroe College in New York. Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…
