És Carme Ferré Garcia, coneguda com a Cuca, la dona en actiu més antiga del món casteller. Va ser una de les primeres nenes que, a partir de 1974, va pujar amb la Colla Castellers Xiquets de Tarragona. Però també va créixer a la Baixada del Roser, on la comunitat feia pinya i celebrava la vida, fent castells, també a la platja. Amb sis germans, l'esport i l'atletisme han estat sempre part de la seva vida; fins i tot va ser campiona de Catalunya en dues categories d'atletisme de pista coberta. Però el seu gran repte va ser entrar en un món, el casteller, tradicionalment masculí, on va ser una pionera des del 1974, a la Colla Castellers Xiquets de Tarragona. Quan el cos li va demanar pausa, no va deixar de donar suport des de baix, conscient que a vegades la força més gran és aguantar i sostenir.
